you people wait for the shortstops to start playing before you make assumptions that arent true. the off season is big for a lot of player in need of improvement. Coach purvis and the bears have been wearing it out this off season. they might not be amazing but they will be comptetive. and taylor bates is a good shortstop, just needs to get his head on straight and play his game.

Are you ready for this year? This district is perhaps the toughest and stakked district. Hendersonville won the district last year but they didnt have the guts to win the state title. Mt. Juliet beat them in the region championship but their ace pitchers were no match for the top teams in the state. Wilson Central has a good pitching staff this year and will be tough throughout the season. I think it will be a Mt. Juliet and Wilson Central dogfight. The Bears have some good up coming juniors such as shao, hill, bruce, cox, brown. Also watch out for cotham to give the Bears pitching staff some help this year. Central has a good senior class coming into this season such as conner,parker,adkins, simmons, and barr. So we will just have to see how things pan out.
