I think the young man forgot about Maryville, Riverdale and Bearden. Farragut plays 4 former state championship programs and teams that have knocked them out of the playoffs. Bearden! I think coach needs to have a little talk!

Come on man. Cut him some slack. That was just some ill advised youthful exuberence in the wake of a big win from a kid that is not used to being interviewed. I think he was probably just trying to give Catholic credit. If he had some time to think about his answer, he likely wouldn't have said that. I certainly don't think Purdy or the Admirals will be taking Maryville, Riverdale and Bearden or anybody else lightly. I watched Riverdale against Hendersonville. They should have won that game. Riverdale has more spped and athelets then the Irish and the line is as big. If the Ads play like they did tonight Riverdale will win. The Irish have a better QB to receiver combo. Farragut will not go undefeated. To many teams that are good to make it all the way undefeated!

My youngest finished off at Hendersonville which is a great School but is not even close to Farragut in the overall sports. Farragut, OR, DB are in a class of their own. Oh yeah those 3 have good football teams most years. I'm sure OR will put their # of football State Championships against KCHS.

On the tread they locked I didn't see any Reb fans bring up the fact that last time Maryville lost to Alcoa both teams won a state Championship.

FLMS sorry I just picked a team that was on the list that I thought AVF1 would know. You were a AA state power when I played AAA. I love your area of the state and I agree on some of your remarks about FHS football in the past. With the new schools in their area and the privates getting great talent I think FHS has a short window to get to the SC game. However researching your teams of the past I was shocked how many kids you had out for the teams in the past compared to now. What's up?

Were is FOOTBALL at for Farragut. Do they have one there rigger101 and you dig one up some where at least can you find were they have even played for a statechampionship. Dear Allvolfan' I was trying to show you who FHS peers are (Father Ryan, MBA, Oak Ridge etc) the Irish peers (White House, Greenbrier, Memphis Cath etc) Minor league vs. big league. FHS has been Regional Champs, Qtr and to the Semis in TN Footballs highest Division. So not a joke at their level. U got 1 in the minor leagues. Congrats the planets aligned just right. You may win Fri night because of your lines experience vs. Farragut. I've watched the Irish beat some good Ads team in Soccer and Basketball so know your young men have the hearts to play. My son's have won and lost to KCHS wrestlers. So I know your school and talent. Just making sure you know Farragut is the exception in D-1 sports! I am not a fan of Coach Courtney and think you folks have the better coach. Football at Farragut has never won one or even been to one. They made it to the semi-finals in 1981 and lost by 10. They have made to the quarters a bunch of times over the last few years. Congrats to KCHS on last years state finals. However Farragut has always played at the highest level of TN Football. The Irish have not.

But they have more soccer and baseball championships and Wrestling, CC, track, etc! I guess they are going for well rounded kids. 10 X the the State Championships to be exact. When was Loudons last State Championship? I think I saw it on the 70's show. Wasn't that single A?

That's what I thought but could only find records with TSSAA going back to 1993. Looks like prior to the move west the sports programs did not do as well. However since 2000 the Irish have been making noise at every level they have played in. Sorry about the info blast on FHS. It was the 5-6 yr football thing that made me think allvolfan1 need a little history lesson. KCHS has had football since 1993. That's a 15 yr with Record (1993-Present): 129-57-0. That's strong. I take it they did not have a team when the school was located downtown. When we lived in Farragut I always enjoyed going against KCHS in wrestling, soccer etc. Most of my Family went to Chatolic schools so I have a great respect for your school. It should be a great match up. By most of the stats ans polls, it should be about a 4 pt spread in the Ads fav. #1 in 6A vs #1 in 5A and just a few miles apart. It's a first! Private vs Public! The 16 game win streak of the Irish! There is all kinds of great story lines here. Plan to watch the game on the net if I can. Good Luck and safe play to all!

KCHS has great traditions and great sports programs. Why do you think that KCHS has only had a football program 5-6 years? Did you mean at the new D-I level? Prior to 98 and D-II A-AAA they all played each other. In overall State Championships Farragut is in the top 2 in D-1 behind OR. Football they have been to the SC game once. According to some White House fans where I live. If it wasn't for home field cooking by the Irish the Blue Devils would have been State Champs. State Team Championships : KCHS-3 FHS-32 Count Champ/runner up KCHS-12 FHS-60 That puts Farragut as one of the top 2 in D-1 and puts KCHS somewhere in the top 100. The 3 SC teams tied KCHS with Loudon! FHS has always played at the highest level sports in TN. The same can't be said for KCHS. So be proud of your Gold ball but have a little respect for FHS Championships.

How stupid! Farragut was ranked #1 and in the top 10 most of last year. Sour Grapes RK! FHS has been in the hunt even when OR made it to the Championship game a few years ago.

Give your new coach a chance. He proved his skills in the Middle TN area, I think Maryville respects his coaching.
