I wouldn't say that, in the last 5 years they had 3 State Champs come out of there in one year. Ooltewah wasn't one of them!
They have better coverage from there locale news stations on Friday night. They have at least two stations that cover nothing but HS football for an entire 30 min.
-
dont you go and say ALL, i dont go and bring up ooltewah and other threads, i respond to what other people say, a lot of times other people bring ooltewah up and say yeah when we play ooltewah blah blah blah, so i feel like i have a right to respond to that, you dont have to worry about what ooltweah people have to say, if you think they are cocky let them fall flat on their face when they lose again, theres plenty of cocky soddy daisy people to who are always askin to be ranked high in the polls, its ok to be cocky when you are 6-0, its not that big a deal, its high school football and the kids just wnat to have fun so let them and get off their backs
Grow up! Are you even out of School yet? I've seen you on threads that have nothing to do with Ooltewah. Again, Has your school ever won a State Champiopnship in anything? At least Chatt Central has an history of past glory. You just have a big mouth and hop on other threads that have nothing to do with Ooltewah football.
Your mouth must be as big as the eye on your Green Cartoon figure. thumb

1978 Sevier County came to Madison High School in Nashville. I remember having 2 line man look down at my 5'9'', 170lb defensive tackle body and laughing during the first play of the game and saying" Your going to try to get through us". A few plays later, I made a 27 yard touchdown off of a blocked pass. We scored over 40 points on them and they outweighed us by 50 lbs per player and all seemed 7 ft tall.
The next day I was working on one of the rides at the old Opryland Park and their team was visiting the park and I asked them what they were doing in town and they said to play a football game. As I looked up at them and I asked them how they had done and they said not too well. They said they had played a bigger and faster team on Friday night. Once I told them who I was and what number I was they dropped their heads and walked away.
Yes, it’s not the size of the dog in the fight; it’s the size of the fight in the Dog.
It was great to be a Madison Ram! thumb

Check out Nick Reveiz of Farragut. Son of Faud Reviez, holder of UT Kicking records and former NFL Pro. The young man is the second leading tackler in the Knoxville region. thumb

Oak Ridge is a Tuff place to play.
-
Has the owls and Oak Ridge played yet?
-
Wrestling?
Basketball?
Track?
Baseball? I know Central blew it in the playoffs but I thought they gave the Owls a run for it in other sports!

bame? what the heck is bame, maybe you meant bama, but man at least you could spell that right give me a break, you are a joke, dont get on here on a football board and brag about farraguts state championships in their spring sports, no one on these boards cares about those sports, this is football, i can't remember the last time farragut was good at football, they might be 7-0 but they still aren't any good, they only beat heritage 7-6, and they let bradley score 21 i mean give me a break how do you manage that, that just proves they are a joke, just stop talking now trying to put down all these other good programs
I guess you got me on the typing mistake, but the National Championship's must have got under your skin. I would never Bad mouth a program like Oak Ridge. They have some of the greatest fan supporters in the State and it is a great place to see High School Football. But we do own them in all the other sports. thumb
-
Someone should of told your "New" Principle about Oak Ridge!
What was the last sport Oak Ridge won a State Champiopnship in? They are like Bama Fans living in the past!

I feel Farragut has a chance for the hunt.
We will have 1 State Champ, 1 State Finalist and a few other returning seniors who qualified for state last year.
Our shakers and breakers this year will be:
Paul Mountain- Senior, Who was injured last year but qualified for State.
Scott Dix- Senior- Returning State Champion
Chad Blankenship- Senior, Who was injured last year but qualified for State and gave or 152lb finalist Chad Turner a great challenge every day in practice.
Justin Knox- Senior, Who was injured last year but was a State Finalist.
Nick Reveiz-Placed 2nd in Region his first year wrestling and worked on his techniques all summer.
Others to watch out for:
Chuck Layton, Nick Montgomery, Younger brothers of Reveiz, Farinella, Turner and we had a State Qualifier who finished 6th from Denver, CO and a Heavy Weight move in from out west.
Also, this will be the first year that we have more than one football player coming out for the team. thumb
We are excited about this team and our chances. Last year our team had over 6 kid's injured at one time and no back ups.
Yes Franklin is the team to beat and we are looking for our shot. thumb

Is it true the New Principle told the Football Coach and Booster Club that there will be No MEDICRE in any thing at Farragut? Is this why they are winning? thumb

That's the problem. Farragut doesn’t have the fan base of an Oak Ridge, DB, Maryville or even some of the County Schools. My boys have been at Farragut for 4 years and it is one of the worse football atmospheres I have ever been too. They folks are too busy visiting friends are at homecoming, half the students and parents don't show up until half time because they had Dinner reservations or the other half leaves after half time to go out for Dinner.
Until this attitude changes and they get the community and Student support, the team will never be great. They are playing for their personal pride only. I've been at games that if it wasn't for the band and football parents, no one would been in the Stands.
I visited a Cookeville/ Antioch game last week and my youngest son was shocked at the turn out and what fun a game could be.
The Farragut Fans and Students are spoiled and have forgotten what real Football atmosphere is like. I hope they win the rest of the way because they have had the talent to do it for years. GO ADMIRALS

And UT didn't have a chance against UGA.
Farragut hasn't "massacred" anyone yet. They will have a close game with William Blount, but will probably pull it out. They will probably "massacre" Bradley simply because everyone has and will. They close the season with Oak Ridge, at Soddy Daisy, and at Ooltewah. They have gone 0-9 against those three the last three years. This year will be no different.

She is defiantly the best for her size. She has been involved with numerous State Champions and continues to give her it all through sickness and a illness that would put most people in bed every day. She has the heart of a giant and the mouth to match.
She is truly a class act.
-
Who are the top teams?
Farragut had approx 30 kids come out and will be returning two State finalist. I feel that they can finish better than 4th and will be able to compete at the duals for a change.
-
I would never let my son's cut weight but I know from being raised around the sport that once the season starts and the kids start watching what they are eating (No Junk, less Pizza) they loose up to 10 pounds the first couple of weeks.
Last year my son went from Cross Country to wrestling and weighed approx 164. He was running an average of about 5 to 7 miles per day and was solid. But when wrestling started and not wearing any sweats he lost down to 150 in a couple of weeks. Under this new system I don't think he would have been allowed to drop down.
This new system is going to put kids at a disadvantage who play more than one sport.
We know that the kids will find away to beat the system. I don't know if this will be any better than what we had before.

Over 7 State championships in 4 years in Baseball, Soccer, Cross Country, Track and in the hunt in numerous other sports. Individual champions in Wrestling, Cross country, and track it's about time the football team starting using the talent they have and win.
Is it true that the new Principle told the Coach and Booster Club that there would be NO Mediocre in any program at Farragut?

I have one of the little ones. He has always wrestled at 105 or 112. He broke his arm in three places in late July and has not been able to get back into the shape he was prior to the accident. He still can not have contact for another month. He weigned in at 119 and they told him he can only go to 116. As a freshman stepping up to a weight class seems to be crazy and I don't think it will protect him.
Can they team ask for a recertification? The big boys seem to be fine but two boys we had planned in for 112 will have to go up. Sounds like a big risk to me.

The Wrestling Team had 3 young men that were in the Finals that could have made a differance and last year one of the leading scores came out his Senior year and told the guys on then soccer team that most of them could start on the football team.
-
Courtney has been is own worst enemy. He chases some of the best athletes off the team. He wants the biggest kids not the best athletes. In the last 4 years Farragut has had at least 7 State Team and 2 National Champions in Baseball, Soccer, Cross Country, Track and numerous individual State Champions in Wrestling, CC and track. He has threatened not to play kids if they go out for wrestling or other sports. His teams have always had a ton of talent but no heart on the line. The real rumor is the new principle told him there is no room for mediocre in any thing at Farragut; He is use to having State Championship Football programs at his Schools.

Check out Nick Reviez from Farragut. Second leading tackler in Area. He likes to hit and watch for him this season in Wrestling. Your looking at a regional Champion and maybe more. Second year for wrestling.

True, Farragut isn't on this post but Should be!
I brought up Central to get your goat. Looks like it worked. When We lived there from 95-98 Brown Middle owned the other middle schools in Football, Basketball and other sports. Fortunately for the Owls alot of their players moved away, or went to Tyner. These kids became Stars for other programs.
Why, Does your folks hate Ryan Wilkes so BAD?
