  1. Yes there will always be schools on the high and the low end, but the cutoff should be the same for each district throughout the state. Schools with 100 per class should not have to advance to their area sectional tourney and play schools that would be in the large school division if they were from the same area. I think Norris Middle and Lake City Middle are 2 schools that if they were in another area they would have the luxury of playing small school instead of large . Once again not schools fault TMSSA is to blame.
  2. Just thought I would add my 2 cents. Oneida and Wartburg are the 2 biggest schools in their small school area and i'm guessing that their 8th grade class is somewhere between 95-115 and if they were the same size as Holston they would be playing in the large school division for their area. I am not blaming Holston. There needs to be a dividing line set by the TMSAA instead of leaving up to each area to set their on guide lines.
  3. Rumor has it that the Highlanders are looking for replacement. I have heard such names as Eddie Kries(Huntsville),Rusty Yaden(Fairview),and Phil Newport(Oneida) all who are very good middle school coaches and two have coached at the high school level. ANYONE HAVE ANY INSIGHT?
