Let's try to think of the positive aspects of this Bobby Knight situation. Try to relate it to this year in South Carolina football when no one said Spurrier would go to the Gamecocks. Well we all know pretty much the whole reason he went their is that he is a big golfer and he wanted to play the golf down their. According to the News Sentinal, Bobby Knight is a big hunter and has heard the hunting in East Tennessee is good. Spurrier was looking for a place to retire. Maybe Knight can look to the University of Tennessee to retire on. And if we can get Knight to come here for even 4 to 5 years I believe the University of Tennessee's stock will be so much higher that even when Knight would retire after coming here Tennessee would get another top coach because they would (hopefully) be a top program in the SEC.

No were not going to stop talking about it, that cost us a trip to the Murf' for the 2nd straight year. And as they days go on we keep finding out more info. Like how one of the refs were kicked out of Knoxville for being a bad ref and moved to the Athens area, changed his name, and started over again up their. I wont stop talking about it because our best player fouled out w/ 4 fouls w/ about 2.30 left in the game. And no i wont stop talking about it because the foul total was 15+ to 5-.

Who from AC has Clinton recruited. Noone from this past team, so dont even start that. Michael Mott starts for AC and is arguably the best shooter in the state. He lives less than a mile away from Clinton High School, Went to Clinton middle school, and now plays for AC. So dont even start talkin about Clinton recruiting players from the Anderson County Area.

im sorry take away 5 of those fouls thats still more than 10 fouls to 4. And no you didnt hear the slap. Their was alteast 3 feet of space in between them. You cant say both teams werent doing the same thing in the paint and Clinton was getting called and Tenn high wasnt. If you were a coach and a ref tryed to come into your huddle and tell you how to run your team wouldnt you be kind of mad after an officiating game like that. Not to mention dont you think something was going on when the refs were high fiving towards the end of the game. And #11 if your the #11 on the TH team. This is just myself, If i were 5'6 105 i wouldnt talk crap to anyone.

Tape of the refs in the sub-state game. Im not normally one to whine about the refs but when you start calling fouls on players when you can clearly see atleast 3 ft of space in between them and no arms reaching out that isnt good officiating. When you have 15+ fouls in 1 half for one team mostly for not being straight up and down in the paint for one team and 4 or 5 for the other who not 1 time stayed on their feet in the paint is not good officiating. I grant Tennessee High with 1 thing better than Clinton and that is being able to take the charge, but htat was probably only 2 or 3 fouls the whole game, that didnt make up the 15+ in 1 half and that didnt make up the ref coming in the Clinton huddle and laughing and telling the coach what to say to his team in the huddle. That doesnt make up for the refs giving each other high fives towards the end of the game. If the tape caught all of that then that was definately their last game in the black and white stripes.

All TH is is a bunch of gimpy white boys. The only player that semi-resembles a good athlete was #5 and he was a player. And yes The refs bailed and pretty much handed Tenn high the game. Saying that over 15 fouls for Clinton and 4 or 5 for Tenn high in the second half is fair reffing when both teams were doing the same thing. No that is not fair reffing or calling it even. Especially the Jonathon Dye foul at the end of the game when Clinton was just down by 3 was CRAP. #5 was going in for a lay-up and Dye didnt want to foul him do he acted like he jumped at him and then kept running through to out of bounds and was atleast 3 ft of space between them and the ref called an and 1. And saying the refs were even why did he come in the Clinton huddle and look at Lockard and smile and laugh. Why did I see the referees giving high fives on the floor before the game was over. And most of all WHY was the foul total in the 2nd half 15+ for the Dragons and 4 or 5 for Tenn high when both teams were doing the same thing. And as for Whitt not shaking hands you better be glad thats all he did. Im surprised one of those white boys didnt get knocked out. And as for # 30 i hope hes alright after he tryed to take that charge from Dye at the end of the game and ended up flying into the little stage behind the court.

Siegel by 25. Tennessee High doesnt belong. They had to get major help from the refs to get out of the sub-state. Good thing that was probably those refs last game after the tape has been sent in to TSSAA.

Umm yea that was pretty stupid.

Look at who weve lost to. Look at who you've played. Thats what i thought. Clinton has lost 1 game this year that they absolutely should have won adn that was to Knoxville Central before Christmas. Look at the record after Christmas. Thats when last years team started playing. And you better watch out Clinton lost 2 6'9 post players last year and a 6'6 wing all got D1 offers and 2 took them 1 declined to play closer to home and Clinton is back in the position to go back to state. This team isnt loaded w/ talent but they can stroke it and when they are on can beat probably any team in the state. Last years team getting to state was off talent. This year it was b/c of heart.

Lets stop talkin this crap and let the game be played. Honestly neither team knows enough about the other or has seen enough of the other team to be talkin crap like this. Lets just wait until about 8:30 tomorrow night and let the winner get on here and talk crap to the loosers.

No, no one has stopped the guard trio. The problem on Clintons team is they start 5 guards. Their biggest starter is 6'4 Matt Ford an dhe is probably a 3 man. They do have 6'7 Vanderbilt Football signee Eric Hensley but he doesnt get to play many minutes. And i could bet that over the last 15-20 games 2 of the 3 guards have scored 20 or more. Whitt 25ppg, Dye 16ppg, Dixon 12.5ppg.

Chris Burr has been makin these predictions for years. I guess he just thinks these games are gonna be close so he exajurates sp? (just a little) . If Clinton can overcome the post presence of Tenn. High i believe they will be back in the boro' for the 2nd straight year. But i dont want to speak too soon because i know Tenn. High is a very good team and has to be to be in the sweet 16 of AAA. Honestly i think this game is up for grabs but you all have to respect that i go w/ Clinton by 1 since i cant turn my back on my school. And i truely believe Clinton by 1. Good luck to both tho.

A reminder Clinton has beat Cumberland Co. 2 times already this year and that is who siegel would be playing if both teams win they sub-state. Clinton also plays alot like Memphis teams. They play a full court press about 3/4 of the game and have a guard trio that is unstoppable.

Oak Ridge played a great game last night and deserved to get that win. Its hard to beat a team when it seems like they shot better than 75% from the field from the 2nd quarter on. OR put up some shots that i didnt think would go in but hats off to them and i might add Clinton played a great game olso and fought to stay in it. I thought it was one of their better performances as a team but that great shooting of OR last night was just too much to overcome. Good luck Wildcats in the sectionals and i dont like going out loosing 3-2 to the Wildcats this season so hopefully we can even the score in Murfreesboro if both teams take care of business in the Sub-State.

The more i hear the better i like Clintons chances. If Tenn High is going to run a 2-3 zone that is probably the worst defense to run against Clinton because the 3 guards can really stroke it and the 2 post players who should really be guards can stroke it too. Matt Ford the 6'4 post player probably has the 2nd best touch on the team to Dandrus Whitt. And Whitt does hit atleast 1 maybe 2 3's a game from the 25' range. Also Clinton came into the District tournament a #2 seed but started the region a 4 seed so Tenn high isnt the only low seeded team to still be here.

Your lookin ahead alittle by sayin hes gonna get respect at the boro'. Remember Clinton was in this position last year and went to state so they arent the newcomers anymore its Tenn. High thats team is the newcomers to this situation. Hope you all handle it well because Clinton is going to come to play. Dandrus Whitt doesnt want this to be his last game.

I guess it is Science Hill @ Oak Ridge and Clinton @ Tenn. High. Can someone tell me about these 2 teams and how they play? Oak Ridge- They are a pretty good team all around, they have their post player their in Daniels-Mulholland and have good guards that dont choke under pressure Oak Ridge can pretty much play to any other teams tempo so you dont have an advantage of trying to slow the game down or sppeding it up. They have 2 freshmen which are prob in the top 4 players on the team, they dont choke under pressure either, Stevens (5'5"pg) stole a Farragut pass and got fouled and hit his freethrow to win the game and Dowdell about 6'3 was clutch tonight against Clinton. Clinton- Dont have a dominant post player, they are pretty much a guard team w/ a 6'4" wing man playing center. Although Clinton does have a 6'7 player he doesnt get to play a whole lot and doesn't really get looks when he is in. Look out for the guard trio of Jordan Dixon, Jonathon Dye, and Dandrus Whitt. Whitt a senior is averaging 25ppg and has a range of about 25-28 feet. Dye a junior is the Dragons clutch player and is averaging about 16 ppg. Dye really stepped up in the tournament and had 30 tonight against Oak Ridge and had 24 against Maryville and 26 against Bearden in the Region tourney. Dixon is becoming a player and has around 12 ppg he is a threat to shoot and to drive to the bucket and get fouled. But the best thing about the Dragons team is their press and it took Oak Ridge the 5th time they played Clinton to finally figure it out, Clinton go tthem w/ the press the 1st 4 games. They go full court about 3/4 of the game and its 4 men up pressing the ball in and 1 man at mid court. Good luck to all 4 teams.

Jody Fersner from Karns put up 48 on Clinton and right now Clinton is in the region championship game. And also Karns didnt win the game that Fersner scored 48 in.

Two more great games tonight, Clinton-Maryville- Clinton just looked like they wanted it more and got up early by 17 on the Rebels and even though they came back Clinton just knew they couldnt give up and loose that game. I dont know statistics but i dont recall them missing a freethrow in the 4th quarter. So the dragons came up clutch and beat the Rebels by 7. Oak Ridge- Powell - didnt get to stay and watch the game but heard Oak Ridge won by 3 and Ben Wards last second 3 to tie it rolled around the rim for about 5 sec. So an Anderson County battle in the region finals is #5 of the year for the 2 teams. Clinton won the 1st game by a point. OR won the second by double digits. Clinton won the 3rd by about 8. And Oak Ridge won the consolation game in the district by around 7 or 8. Anything can happen in the Dragon Den tomorrow night. Good luck to both teams but more to the Dragons.

I stayed and watched the 1st half of the Maryville game and i thought #20 was Maryvilles best player. He could stroke it.

Should be a tough game between Clinton and Maryville tomorrow or Thurs. or whenever they play. The Clinton-Bearden game was a great one. Clinton battled a 17 point deficit and the refs most of the 2nd half and came up w/ a huge defensive stop at the end of regulation and Dye took over in overtime. Isn't #10 for Bearden B.J. Ware and why was he not playing and when the game was on the line why did Beardens coach put on his jersey?

i LOVE the predictions redupset, as much as i would love to see that happen and as much as i want it to happen and as much confidence as i have in it happening i dont think i would be that optimistic about clinton if i made predictions. I would just hope Clinton can beat Maryville. Good luck to all in the region and good luck especially to the Dragons.

I wouldnt like to loose this game b/c the loser has Maryville in the 1st round of the regions and thats a tough game for anyone. But good luck to both and ill be their to watch the hard faught game.
