  1. If there weren't hard hits and hard tackles the game wouldn't be nearly as fun and exciting. It would just be like football, why dont we all just throw on some pads while we are at it? What time is the game Thursday?

    7:00 at CPA

  2. Yea in pretty sure CA got this in the bag...Page iz ok good but nothing like CA...i've played against both teams and i think CA has the passing game on lockdown..Page has no chance if they can't control the ball on first touches...the reason why we(giles) beat CA wuz because our defense shut down CA's shooting and passing game...but im sure Page's defense has no chance against CA's great passing skills...especially if all #17 on page's team izz going to do iz pass it out of bounds, CA will rain bombs on Page's goalie....good luck to both teams though..

Having played Page earlier this year, and CA in the past. I have to say, unless CA is on a major down year, this is their game to lose. Much more disciplined. They are always great in the basics of the game.

  3. For one thing, I am getting tired of this crap about Fairview being a dirty team. We had some players make some bad decisions, and they are no longer on the freaking team. The game against CPA had NO cheap shots, and if you think there were, you are just ignorant and looking for something to complain about. One injury was bad luck on a clean slide tackle on number 13 of CPA. No one wanted to see him get hurt, and everyone, including myself who was marking him up, wanted to see him get back on the field. Another one was a play where two players were attempting to make a play on the ball and had a bad collision. Both players went to the hospital, but that was definitely our plan. "Hey we can sacrifice our back-up keeper to get rid of one of their 33 players" That is just brilliant. The final hit was was when the keeper of Fairview slid at the ball, which was clearly hit first, and the CPA player continued on and was hurdled into the air. It looked bad, no doubt, but it was a perfectly clean hit. I am sorry for the injuries and I wish CPA luck throughout the rest of the tournament. I will personally be there on Thursday cheering them on. They won with class and if my senior year had to end, CPA was the team I would want it to be against. They won with class. It was a hard fought, clean game. Injuries happen in sports. CPA players and Fairview players were socializing on the field. It was a great game.

Now the WH-Heritage guy who is on here, be quiet. You were not at the game. I am sorry, and once again don't act like you were treated so terrible last time when we played. You were probably the main person instigating the agression. Cussing out the fans? Yeah, really classy. But that is in the past. Don't come on here and start stuff like that, it is not needed. Grow up.

Once again, good luck CPA. And Fairview, thanks for a great Senior season. But for now, Go Lions! :)

  4. Understand that I am writing this as a neutral by stander who attends a school not in the championship and no longer in the running as well as a competitive soccer player for over a decade.

Yes. The officiating was bad. But honestly guys who hasn't seen a game where something went wrong. And doesn't someone ALWAYS complain about the referees? They weren't great; however, I have watched the center in previous games and it could have been a lot worse. Trust me. You cannot blame that game entirely on the referees.

Yes. Both teams played dirty. Fairview - hands down did. No one can honestly tell me they didn't (and excuses are unnessesary). WWH - you did as well. There were cheap shots on either side of the ball. Personally, I think the game got out of hand when 23 (Fairview) got layed into from behind after he played the ball up the far side line and nothing was called. Granted, it could have been at such an angle that the center didn't see it, but it also set the tone for the rest of the game. This gave both teams the midset to play physical and dirty, take the calls, and do it again. Both teams complained, both teams took some falls, both teams took some cheap shots, and both teams took some serious-should-have-been-called hits as well.

Yes. Both teams were horrible sports. When Fairview took physical cheap shots, WHH took some afterwards. 17 (Fairview) was completely out of line in his little stint towards the end of the game and 25, 23, and 13 had some temper issues as well. There was even a player on the bench who was exceptionally rilled up and virtually head-hunting. HOWEVER, there was no excuse for the actions of 19 and 4 (WHH). Celebration after the game is perfectly acceptable, you won districts, that's awesome, good job. Cussing out female high schoolers who are there to support their fellow students is unacceptable. I heard some of what was said - unnessesary, impolite, uncalled for. If you are angry, take it out on the field, not on seven 16 year old girls. Number 4's(WHH) popping of the jersey in the face of Fairview players was one of the most disrespectful things I've ever seen on a field. The game was over, nothing else could be done, his team had rightfully won, that was just stupid.

Fairview will have an interesting run in Regions tomorrow as they travel to CPA without certain players,. WHH, you'll have to forgive me, I know very little about Hume-Fogg, but I wish you the best of luck as you host the Region game.

Clarification: the argument on Fairview's side regarding the overtime goal was NOT that it crossed the line. I believe the argument was that the sideline ref clearly indicated it was offsides by raising his flag and signalling; he would take down his flag after not being noticed by the center (a big no-no in ref certification). However, by the time the center ref looked to the side, the ref had taken back his call and was signalling a fair goal. The pressure that single call can put one individual is tremendous so he did the correct thing in letting the center make the call.

I'm not adding fuel to the fire nor assigning blame. The way I see it, neither team should be proud of the way they acted and no coach should encourage a team to act like that. Either way, drop it, move on, and play a quality soccer game tomorrow.

I completely agree with what is said here. I think this sums it all up pretty much, excluding number 13 who just got two yellows for strictly soccer play, he did not have a temper he was just playing the game. But other than that, I agree. Enough said. Move on. Good luck in regions.

  5. The player had blood on him because he headbutted our sweeper in the back of the head and it made him bleed. And I dont know where u get that our sweeper speared ne one because he didn't. Heritage did not take any cheap shots at all. And yes we did say some things and do some things but how would you act if u had been getting kicked and hit in the head during a game? There was some bad sportsmanship on our part but only because fairview was doing way worse. How can you put so much blame on us we only had 3 yellow cards, Fairview had all the rest. Even The coach came over to apologize to us for how his players acted and even said that we didnt play down to their level and he thanked us for that. And that he was embarrased of his team. So why would a coach apologize if so many of his players werent wrong. The fact is, Heritage went home champions and Fairview didn't and they couldnt take it, if your going to be that bad of sports during a game by kicking and hitting players then to bad that you can't take taunting that was well deserved after the game. HERITAGE IS THE CHAMPS! ENOUGH SAID! Take it as it is cuz its not gonna change. 2-1 ( Both goals legit)

No one ever said they weren't champs, I said that there was no disputing that. The tape does show that the GW goal should not have counted, period. And no one said it was only Heritage, but by no means was it just Fairview. To say that is ridiculous. One player was extremely out of line, #17, but everything else, it was just a matter of time. How #23 handled himself was uncalled for, but he had every right to be angry. #13's double yellow was strictly soccer and was not cheap at all. Now Heritage and Fairview both were extremely unsportsmanlike. Don't say they are being unsportsmanlike when your team sat there and taunted them after the win. TAUNTING IS NOT SPORTSMANLIKE! Once again, congrats on the win and good luck against Hume-Fogg. Fairview's road is tough, and some people will have to step up.

  6. even if u do say that goal was not in, white house still had the bad end of the stick when heritage scored their 1st goal, fairview had 7 freekicks in a row 40 yds and end where heritage didnt get it passed the half line b/c they were calling weak calls and let 23 dive so many times he shoulda been kicked out 20 min in the 2nd half well on the 7th free kick they finally scored by taking out one of our players on the post and it rolled in. But Heritage bounced back off it and was determined to score in ot by a clutch shot. Good luck to everyone in regions

Because 23 took so many dives? Yeah that was the only reason they had those kicks. The one they scored on, "your" player clotheslined one of Fairview's player (number 98) and then try when another Fairview player had to come off the field due to blood from being punched in the face. Oh yeah, there was that other one where your sweeper gets beat and spears another fairview player around midfield. So Don't even try to say the reffing was bias against you. I was at the game, I saw it. The officiating was horrible, let it get out of hand, both ways. Fairview just didn't control it's tempers very well. Also, a little character would be nice instead of taunting an opposing team after the game (i.e. calling the fans names (number 19 of heritage) and during the awards ceremony popping the jersey (number 4 of Heritage)) Show some class. Good game and Heritage won, there is no disputing that. But when tempers are flaring, tempting the other team is just plain stupid. That said, congrats to Heritage and good luck the rest of the way.

  7. I heard that FRA got beat by CPA yesterday, but I don't know much about either team this year, I'm just calling it an upset based on their performances the past few years.

Record wise, FRA was having a down year. Based on pure seeding, it was not an upset. Still FRA is a strong experienced team and can always make a run, so in that sense, you could call it an upset.

  8. 3 of those teams are in different districts, 2 are in different classifications, and none of them (except Heritage) are in district 10

I just now realized that... In fact I realized that I am an idiot... I play in 10... Fairview, Sycamore, White House - Heritage, Montgomery Central, Cheatam County, Harpeth, Creekwood, Clarksville Academy, and East Robertson

  9. I think the US is not getting enough love here. I think, on paper, and right now that the only thing we have to go on, they are better than the Italians and Ghana. I would say a tie with the Czechs should advance them. Ghana is what? I believe in the 60's in the world. The Italians are in the teens and the Czechs are 3rd to our 4th. I think 4th is a little high, but I do believe the US is a top ten team.

  10. Fairview still has to play M.C. You guys have me worried. Any advise from players

who have faced them? Watch out for Sycamore if you still have to play them. They

    don't give up!

Beckham, do you play for Fairview? Who are you? or what is your number?

  11. i agree. Sycamore should be good game espically since central will be at home playing on the hill. The 3 teams in a few day span this end of the season should be the team to watch. But from what i saw fairview isnt anything special. No offense to fairview. They are a smart team that does a lot fo smart things. They can beat you techinque wish im not to sure they can beat you with speed. But if central comes to play they can take the district. It depends which central that comes to play. They one that came to the game against heritage or the central that came against cheatam minus the red card and fouls.Cya at districts tho

When exactly did you see Fairview play? From what I have seen they have some extremely fast players... But that's just my opinion.

  12. The districts is Sycamore's and Fairview's to lose. If both teams win out they end in a tie and it comes down to goals. In the tourney, 1 and 2 are pretty much the same because both get home games in the first round and the rest of the games are played at Creekwood. That said, Montgomery Central can control their destiny by beating both teams, a tough feat seeing as they get them both in a 3 day span. I believe the district comes down to those three teams, but my pick is one of the two tied for first right now, Fairview or Sycamore. Should be interesting either way....

  13. Who do you think takes it? Any chances after districts? What are your opinions? My personal opinion is Sycamore...

    Cheatam Co.

    Clarksville Academy

    Creekwood

    East Robertson

    Fairview

    Harpeth

    Montgomery Central

    Sycamore

    White House Heritage

  14. What about in simply A/AA? The AAA schools are pretty much always going to be better, so let's give some credit to the smallr schools. In Williamson there is CA, Fairview, Page... I am not sure about all the schools, but I know that at least CA and Fairview are very good teams this year.

  15. Giles county has a extremely dominating line-up this year; And with that and the extremely talented coaches that support the team, they have they determination and the consistency to go far this year.  Wielding a goalie that is completely overpowering as well as a defense that could frusterate any team out there, And a offense that puts abit of intimidation into the opposing teams goalie will combine to make a striking performance this year.

This is a forum... not a newspaper... write like a normal human being, not like someone who is writting an article for your school newspaper.. a "striking" performance? riiiight... but on a side note... I agree with Bertier, they may be competitive, but I doubt they will be able to defeat CA or Fairview, Page seems to be a little weaker than in the past so maybe there, but who knows, this is only my opinion, good luck
