im taking hillwood to come out on top this year behind their great quarterback and incredibly fast running back, and oh yeah their entire offensive live is returning this year. hillsboros new running back looks like a heck of an athlete but its not going to be the same as tibbs, doss, and fridge back there. it would be almost impossible to replace all three of them. in my opinion the number 3-6 spots are completely up for grabs but here is my prediction of how the region will end up. 1.hillwood 2.hillsboro 3.shelbyville 4.columbia 5.lawrence county 6.overton 7.tullahoma 8.white county 9.spring hill 10.hickman county

THANK YOU!! Im glad someone else on here sees the talent Hillwood has! Besides the fact that Hillwood is returning about everyone except Moreland, the Borros are losing just about everyone. And the prediction about the RB Lewis is dead on, he will be one of the best not only in 5-4A but in middle tenn. the next two years! Oh yeah and Midtnsports is great! i was on it all season and loved the coverage you had of the region! keep it up

at the beg. of the season they had a kid run a 49.9 in the open 400 and they have a couple others that run 50-51. i dont know the time but their 4X2 is also very good, they won and almost broke the record at the doug halls.

I think you all might be a little suprised this year with Hillsboro. I know they are consistently one of the best around, correct me if im wrong but they lost A LOT of starters didnt they? (bryant, doss, peoples, tibbs, their line?). The region should be strong next year since they were so young last season but im predicting a new champion for next year. Everyone who mentioned hillwoods playoff game and the hillsboro game, well in the hillsboro game the toppers got blown away the first half but came back out and stuck with the boros for 2 quarters and i know the playoff game was ugly but wilkerson was about unstoppable that game. Forget about last years playoff game and think about how their qb, one of the top in the midstate last year, who threw and ran all over the region all season long. Just wait till you all see their running back who scored 5 tds in one half against spring hill as a soph this year, he will be the best running back in the region next year, no doubt

Tony Dennis of Hillwood ran a 49.9 in the 400 last night in his 1st meet of the year and he didnt have anybody even close to push him. If he stays in this event, who knows what he could do when he gets competition.

Well Topperman I agree you did a great job this year with Hillwood. I dont believe it was a "miracle" as some put it, but you obviously made those kids believe in themselves during the tournament! You took an average (yes they had a couple athletes) and led them to the district championship game. You would also be on my list of top 5 coaches in Davidson Co. Next year should be interesting, hopefully they will as you put it buy into your program a little sooner. Have any opinions on next year's team? (like who's going to score all the points with Flint and #44 gone) I know your team will always play D with heart its just the offense that seems to be a little weak for next year. Good Luck!

Gordons a great player when he wants to be. On some nights he will hit 40 then shoot 0-15 from the 3 pt. line (which he actually did against Hillsboro). He is an amazing athlete with a horrible attitude. Sometimes he will make a great play on offense then watch the other team run right past him as she strolls down court making no attempt to play D. Don't get me wrong, hes a good player and with the right coach he could be a great player but hes got to learn to play for the team and not the crowd.

Jumbalaya, who are the two sophomores that start for Hillwood? Is one of them the 7 footer? That's pretty impresive that a #2 seed is starting 2 sophs. Should be a good game between Hillwood and MHS but my pick is Hillsboro to win the tournament, they are a complete team with a deep bench.
