I very well agree that w/o Bo we might not have won it. He did however have have an all state receiver that got past your db's that he threw a few long td's to....and he was not scrambling when that happened. He/GC also had several other impact players that I'm sure you did not notice that helped. You state that you have to score more to win, which you are absolutely correct...whether you agree or not our defense had a HUGE impact on that. I believe defense wins ballgames. GC defense held Gville to 14 points in the state title game that you want to give entirely to Bo. Funny how you guys offer up pages on this thread talking about your defense and when was the last time someone scored on the starters, etc. I guess it's different though talking about the 2011 Greeneville team......are you sure it's not entirely on your offense why you are at this point....you do have to score more points to win now don't you??

Yea the entire season was a one man show. He didn't have an all-state receiver to throw to...and our defense didn't hold Gville to 14 points. C'mon barb!! I think we have 7 seniors starting. Not many playmakers....were like plain vanilla.

Just curious????....is Coach Holt going to let any football players on the basketball team? Or do any of them want to play? Dontarius Gilbert, Cameron Ordway, Dylan Gibson, etc?

Bo was and is still a great athlete and QB. Not that it matters because this is 2011....but you all have made several posts implying Bo beat you in 09'. I do recall GC defense holding G'ville to 14 points!

WOMG, I am extremely fed up with all of this. I only said something about your 67 team because they were in the county and dadxfive played in the city. My post was only a reply to likearock who originally claimed the 59' team was better in which sawdust started all this by bringing up the 09' team. You see your response to rocks reply was just the beginning because bobcat93 acutally initiated all of this when he drove from the city to the county to confront dadxfive about the 63 team. I would like to say I am extremly sorry for responding to your post in a way that really made the 67 team not look as good as the 59 team. Don't get mad at me when sawdust was originally the one who posted to dad when I was just trying to stick up for rock when his post was sticking up for you. I gotta rest a little bit because I can't think straight at the moment. All I wanted to do was get on this to hear about how bad Greeneville was going to beat up on Giles County. I would also like to know when the Greeneville/Maplewood thread is going to start. And has anybody decided if this years gold ball is going to be in the same trophy case as last years gold ball. But most important of all....wonder if Big Trey would share some of that grub Friday night.....I watched that Greeneville youtube and Big Trey looks like he can cook.

Nothing like being proud of a scrimmage win. You know both teams played their starters the entire time, never tried new players at different positions or anything like that. I guess you gotta find something good out of a 3 win, no playoff season.

It looks as though Hardison will be playing for GC. I think your starters will be IMO....Kadijon Townsend, Lake Jones, Austin Howard, Tory Hardison, and Devonte Jimenez. Yes Devonte....Blake Jimenez younger brother. Season starts at Lawrence Co Tuesday Nov 22.....students get to flaunt those cowbells. Hopefully they get to talk trash on home opener on the 29th against Marshall Co.....and even better....thats milk dud night

Y'all go easy on Brokeback....he would have been 2nd string water boy if he just would have left his stick horse at home. It was real embarrassing for him after a time out when he turned to ride off the field after providing water to the team he hit the QB in the eye with his stick horse. They say that is what cost them the game that night. What's really funny now is that dual tag on the front of his Gremlin that is half Marshall Co and half Columbia Central. I can't wait to see Brokeback and District 12AA sitting in the stands Friday night covered up under their two man snuggie.

Not to mention I get on the Columbia threads occasionally and have never seen Brokeback Cowboy on their. I think your two words should have been...."multiple personalities".....claim to be from GC, I assume live in Culleoka, claim to be a Columbia Lions fan.....but hammer the Marshall Co threads. GC beat FV, FV beat MC, MC beat GC GC beat Page, Page beat MC, MC beat GC GC has score 317 points this year MC has scored 320 this year As rock said, two very similar teams, two very evenly matched teams. Y'all keep acting like Nostradumbas and giving us the scores, but in all reality we all know this game could go either way. As in any evenly matched game it comes down to least mistakes, least penalties and who wins the turnover margin. I as a GC fan obviously think things look good for us. We finished with 4 strong opponents and three down to the wire games which prepare you for games like this. We have almost all of our injured players back with a possible exception of one hand issue. I think we have one of the best coaching staffs in the state of TN. And, we have the secret weapon back for this game, one that MC can't find on film, so good luck preparing for him because he did not play in the first MC/GC game. GO BOBCATS!!!

Why is it that you get on all of the Marshall Co threads and wear them out, but you can not be found to post on Columbia threads? Big games, Columbia vs Baylor, Columbia vs Lenoir City, and not one post. But get on Marshall Co threads and you are all over them?
