Shelbyville has a new coach, Brad Fraiser from Harpeth

Anything less than a state championship for Harpeth,in my opinion, would be a disappointment. They have a solid team and great talent, I think they can get it done.

well said hogan. as a former player of harpeth athletics, i can see how much harder it is to be a coach because now to be a coach you have to consider the players feelings, or be punished. whereas when i played this was never a factor. kids just cant take the sometimes harsh instruction/criticism that comes with competitive sports. a large number of players are too soft today, and this only hinders those who are'nt. on a side note, i hope that the softer players have no expectations of competing at the next level because the "harsh" criticisim only gets worse.

i was at the game last nite, and i cant believe that the Giles county coach would let his team look so sloppy. most of the kids had their jerseys half tucked in and some of the players literaly walked to their positions, no hustle and to top it off some players didnt even run out the ground balls. a complete disrespect for the game. if any of those kids have any hopes of playing at the next level they should know that the lack of hustle is not tolerated. many people in this world are not so privilaged to play the best game ever invented, you owe it to the fans,your fellow teammates, and those not blessed with the oportunity to play the game, to show some appreciation by at least putting out some effort . the lack of hustle and respect for the game shown last nite was truly apalling.

ive been to alot of high schools, and not many tops Harpeths, frasier keeps it right

baseball is a long season, you shouldnt try to predict the out come of a season based on one win.

are you saying that if you dont sign with D1 school your not good? look at bryan morris (95 mph) motlow, bobby bratton(enough said) motlow, and many others. one reason those guys went JUCO is because they want a better draft position,and if they went to a four year school they would have to stay for 3 years. grades can also be a factor.
