  1. BigBadBlue, I apologize. I will never post on here again without calling and getting the signature of every person that may be involved with the issue at hand. I retract all statements I said and the Cleveland fans sitting all around me were likely conspiring against me while booing Green so that I would make an ### of myself on this board. GIMME A BREAK, IDIOT.
  2. Actually, I've read the posts and know nothing about what is going on as far as where the kids are from, where they live now, or where they plan to enter the work force, nor do I really care. But how can someone get on this board and act like this is a non-issue? Sounds like the BIG majority of starters came there to play for publicity reasons etc., I'd love to congratulate RC on making the sectionals, but did RC really make the sectionals or did someone else? Either way, I enjoyed watching RC play. Excellent group of players. My only complaint was the high kick against Cleveland by 23, this was a little out of place, AND HE STAYED IN THE GAME. What is really going on up there? Looks like winning, no matter how its done, is more important than anything else.
  3. I can't get an answer on what colleges will be there so I guess this event is just an excellent chance for high school kids to come and play with other eager and talented players. It still sounds like a good program, but what do college scouts have to do with it? I didn't get an answer.
  4. I'm not sure Cleveland likes what they have. I had to sit four rows directly behind the Cleveland bench during this game due to a packed gym. The fans around me questioned his decisions the whole game. When all of this happened, they thought he was crazy, they shouted "shut up, sit down, are you crazy etc...". He actually wanted a technical foul with 18 seconds left, the refs didn't give it to him because either 1) they were in complete disbeleif, or 2) they didn't want to give him the satisfaction to be able to say he lost because they gave him a late T (it was probably a little of both). I've never seen anything like it. The fans did not support him at this game. He needs to publically apologize to his team and their fans. Cleveland needs to realize the severity of his actions. He really did almost get arrested.
  5. Snakeinthegrass, apparently you have issues and can't read. I never said I was from the North and I never said the system up there was better. "I'm not saying 1 is better than the other... for better or worse... I'm just throwing it out there" I incorrectly figured a few of you might not know it is single elimination from day 1 of the tourney in many states. I think the TSSAA does a great job too, I'll try and not press your closed mind again. Good luck to all the teams that made it to Sub-State Sectionals.
  6. My father is a HS ref in Wisconsin so I'd like to share what happens up there this time of year. For better or worse, WI puts ALL teams in a regional (seperated by the size of each school, they have 4 classes). Each regional champ goes on to a sectional and each sectional champ goes to state. Only 4 sectionals are held in each class except for Div. 1 (the biggest schools). Div. 1 has 8 sectionals across the State so 8 Div. 1 teams play in Madison for the title, and 4 compete at state in the other three classes. Single elimination in all divisions with all teams competing. Your record determines your seed. It is truly March madness. Here, the to four regional teams go to district, and the losers of the District finals go to sub-state. I'm not saying 1 is better or worse. I'm just throwing it out there. I think the Hoosier state does it similar to that as well.
  7. Gomab, this sounds like a potentially excellent event, but if this is really for the kids to play college ball, why can't you tell us what colleges will be there? You stated on page one of this board that you hoped 4 kids from Humboldt would attend. Are there really 4 kids from Humboldt that can play college ball? Maybe so, I guess I am just wanting more details than directions, money and hype.
  8. Rhea County's coach Crowder is an idiot. Has anyone one here ever talked to this guy? I don't know him from Adam but ran into him tonight before the Bradley game and congratulated him on a good win over Cleveland while wishing him good luck. I guess I expected a thank you or something. He proceeded to tell me that there was a consipiracy against Rhea County and that they should have been the 2 seed to begin with. He continued by adding that if Bradley played like they did against Ooltewah or their first round game that his team would have easily beaten them during the regular season. He then chimed in about why he was wearing all black. I had not only lost interest, but was in disbelief that I didn't get a semi-professional response such as "I'm glad we're here" or "we look forward to the matchu-up" or ANYTHING. This guy is a coach?
  9. You are exactly right, Chattanooga should be proud. Most importantly, Ooltewah played with heart, class, and pride. Nothing is more important than that. Keep your heads high, good luck with baseball, and I look forward to watching you next year.
  10. Sherman Moton has college potential. He is as fundamentally sound as they come and would be a steal for any team to aquire. An earlier post added that he would need to be a point guard to play in college. I'm not sure I agree, but he could definitely play point guard with his ballhalding skills, passing ability, and shot etc. He was not a point guard for Ooltewah because he could do so much more. Sherman is a coaches dream. Basketball smarts is his best quality.
  11. Yes, good post. Oolteway gave Bradley a great game and it really could have gone either way at 43-41 in the fourth quarter. Congrats to Bradley and good luck, you have a fine team and were a pleasure to watch. Congrats to Ooltewah as well. Too bad you weren't in the bottom bracket, Rhea County and Cleveland would not have beat this team. Bradley has all the potential to win the state title, for Ooltewah, hopefully this is the start of a new tradition.
