  1. No, I'm not suggesting that at all. Coach Skogen does a great job coaching Temple. He'll do just fine in the tournament. I'm not sure you could say that Temple would be "better" with Wadley at the helm. All I said was I'm sure there is a part of Wadley that wish he was taking this team to the 'Boro, that's all. And Coach Skogen is not 24, he is more like 44.
  2. Didn't mean anything bad by the comment, I was just stating a fact. I'm sure it was the right choice for him to take a new position, but I'm sure at this point he would love to be taking this Temple team to state. Again, not downing him or anything -- it was just a simple comment. Good luck to the Crusaders next week.

  4. well said . . . bring the goldball back to Temple.
  5. Dee Newson led Temple with 26 points as the Crusaders held off Grace for the third time this season. Grace actually led 23-21 at half time despite a seven point deficit at the end of the first quarter. Temple charged ahead in the third quarter outscoring the Golden Eagles 22-7 with a pretty decent lead 43-30 going into the fourth quarter. Grace got a little momentum in the fourth quarter outscoring Temple, but was unable to overcome the big lead. Tennessee Temple 15 6 22 14 57 Grace 8 15 7 19 49 Tennessee Temple: Dee Newson 26, Jeremy Sexton 13, Josh Smith 10, Seth Skogen 6, Brandon Andrews 2, 3pts: Newson 2 Grace: Terrell Church 11, Wallace Foster 10, Brandon Herman 9, Carter McMasters 6, Josh Blake 5, Patrick Shaughnessy 4, Chad Goodman 2, Blake Jordan 2 3pts: Foster 2 *Dee Newson (Temple) was named Tournament MVP
  6. Jeremy is better than "decent". I'm not sure if he will be the "best player" in Chattanooga next year, but he should be one of the top players in the area. As far as match-ups is concerned, he can handle his own against most anyone whether he plays for a great team or a mediocre one. You never know what Temple might have next year for basketball. They just might pick some new players up from somewhere. A lot will depend on who will be coaching them next year.
  7. It appears to me that he has no real passion for the game. I have to question if he even likes to play basketball. I would have to say that coaching has a lot to do with the way that he plays. I'm not trying to put down the kid because I'm sure he's a nice guy, but he certainly has a lot to work on before he could be considered a great player. I'm not even sure I would give him 1 star at this point.
  8. I believe we understand that you really like UC to win it all.
  9. If it's anything like I saw on Friday night (McMasters against Temple), I'm going to say this one will be boring. East Ridge should get the win.
  10. Seth doesn't want to play basketball in college. That's why he is going to Furman to play football. And as for Josh Smith, he is going to play football for Cumberland University.
  11. I guess that's why the small college of Appalachian State is recruiting him.
  12. And those were horrible calls by the refs in order to give him those foul shots. Oh well, the stripe shirts must have felt bad for him for being shut out last time and gave him some freebies so it wouldn't happen again.
  13. What happened last night against Temple? Didn't you only have like 4 points?
  14. yeah you're right the rest of the state hasn't got a chance.
  15. I believe there is already a thread about this game. http://boards.coacht.com/index.php?showtopic=146384
  16. If my memory serves me right, the most he's ever scored against Temple is 11. In other games last year he had 9, 7, 2, and 1. I guess Temple just knows how to defend the big boy.
