  1. Does anyone know the roster for Tennessee? I have not seen or heard any advertising about this game, other than what I read on Chattanoogan.com For some reason Stump must not be promoting this game very heavily?
  2. I'm not sure about them being "as good as anyone out there". There has to be a lot of other talented guys that could have been asked to play in this game. From what I saw at practices there is not any players from several teams in the area that probably should be on the squad, but I guess that's just the way it is. I hope Tennessee pulls out a win and that no one is injured. I'm looking forward to the game.
  3. I'm not sure who picks the players for this game, but how can Ooltewah have 11 players in this All-Star game?
  4. He signed with Cumberland University to play LB.
  5. Smithson is now playing at Cumberland Univ.
  6. Caleb is a very good basketball player. Caleb averaged 21 points and seven assists per game as a senior at Temple. IMO I think he went to the wrong school to play basketball. At Mercer he only played in 20 games and only averaged about 12 minutes per game. He averaged 4.2 points per game. I'm told at Covenant College he averaged 18 pts. per game as a sophomore. There is no doubt that Caleb is a very good athlete. I also think that Caleb could have played football somewhere, but he choose instead to play basketball. I'm not really sure what his plans are for the future. Sexton is a very good basketball player. He's only a sophomore and will only get better. I'm not sure if he can carry Temple next year on his talent alone, but they should be a contender for the region. The main place Temple will be lacking is at the post position.
  7. You're right -- Dr. Pearson really didn't have anything to do with Temple's success this year in football and basketball. These teams were successful before she came to Temple. I wish Caleb the best in his new position. I hope it works out for him.

  9. Wow, you actually admit that Temple has athletes. Good observation. Yes, Skogen is going to play football at Furman and could play basketball in college if he wanted to. You forget to mention that several colleges have been after Dee Newson to play basketball (Appalachian State, Lee, Bryan -- just to mention a few). Then you have Josh Smith who is going to play football in college. And I would dare say that Jeremy Sexton will play basketball somewhere in college after a couple more years in high school. As far as playing an "all out sprint for 32 minutes", Temple would handle that just fine if they had to. Did they handle the press Humboldt put on them in the second half? Not that well, but they could have and should have. I guess it's the same thing you're saying about your team, they could have and should have. Look, we could go back and forth on the issues you have presented, but we really don't know who would win between Temple and UC unless they played an actual game against each other. And we know that is not going to happen. So, as it stands today -- the East is the best in 1A and 3A because they have the balls to prove it. No pun intended. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  10. I guess you don't think Temple has much "talent", right? Grant it, they have a good coach but you have to give them credit for being good players as well.

  14. I guess you just didn't understand, did you?
  15. They were not ranked #1 all year. http://boards.coacht.com/index.php?s=&...amp;p=826325559

  17. Good call . . . I'm just glad I didn't bet any money on your prediction. By the way, what have you been smokin'?

  19. CSAS wins 62-52 Great job Patriots!
  20. Do you really think they would have won the championship this year? They obviously weren't invincible by any means. As far as the East winning the gold ball, the opportunity has always been there regardless if UC is there or not.
  21. I kind of figured he wouldn't last.
