Jeff McFerran- Rosemark. Just look at what he did at Covington and then at Rosemark in just four years. I saw Rosemark three years ago and they were pathetic. Now i believe they will win a state championship next year.

I played for Covington in the finals in 2000 and it was the most pathetic game i ever played in. Every freshman player was at the game that year and they saw what happens when a team doesn't come in focused. Everyone has doubted Covington this year, even myself. I believe this team has the heart to win this game. Covington has the ability to shut down the run. They did it every week this year in crunch time. And we do have a legitimate 4.4 guy in Michael Grandberry. But the one who will impress everyone will be Damien Smith. This kid has game speed and powerful legs that never stop moving. The key to the game will be Damien. Stop him and you have a great chance, but if you can't, we WILL win. That is not cockiness, it's confidence in the heart of this team. Good luck Chargers. I'll be there and so will half the town. We support our Chargers till the end.

Four out of the last five years Covington has made it to the Semi's. Not too many teams in 3A can say that. Covington's program is on the rise and it won't be long before Covington can be considered a powerhouse in 3A.
