  1. I agree with you ELA...I know who you are talking about. He would have been an excellent choice!!! They did not want him because he is not a lay down type of person!!! His agressive style does not fit well in Dover. Alumni or not. Hawaii, I did not ask about softball, I asked about coaching turn- over at Stewart County.
  2. There is a tremendous turn over rate in stewart county. It seems like the past couple of years they have had several coaches resign. Hawaii, do you have any information on why these coaches have resigned?? I heard some resigned to coach at other schools or to return to their home states. Bottom line is, that a couple of these coaches would have stayed put, if the felt like they had a chance to compete. I mean no football field ...no high school baseball field and no softball field??? Come on!!!!! Sounds to me that their are major problems supporting athletics at stewart county. Is this a county problem or a school administration problem????? Hawaii, you seem like you know stewart county athletics pretty well.....what's you take on the subject????
  3. Hawaii, you don't live in Hawaii! You live in Clarksville....I know who you are! Harpeth took game one 9-1, and Stewart County game two 3-1, for those that wanted some info!!!!!
  4. Hawaii....your knowledge of the district seems vast...thanks for the info!
  5. Looks like going into the district tourney, this district is up for grabs, Hawaii!
  6. Seems like other than Waverly. There have been alot of close games in this district. With an occasional blow-out here or there. Good parity!
  7. I dont know if I know much about softball....but I will tell you this, I went to a Stewart County football game a couple of years ago , and several times during the game the opposing team ran off like a 75 yard run, only to be tackled at the 2 and the bleachers went crazy over the tackle. They did not care about the long yardage against the team...only the tackle! nough said, Hawaii!!!!!
  8. I don't know about position for position, because I hav'nt seen either play. What I do know is this.... when a team has a good pitcher and plays good defense behind her, in softball , you can play teams close and beat them. In reference to the SC fans saying CW is better......most of them would'nt know a softball if it hit them in the face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. It appears that both Stewart County and Creekwood are even opponents, but I don't know how one can collectively assume that Creekwood is getting beat by teams that they should be winning against. I have not seen either play this year, but from what I have read, Stewart County has beat Creekwood twice. I have to give Stewart County some credit because it appears that they have improve in all facets of their game since last year. Come tournament time there may be a different out come, but I agree with Hawaii.....give some credit where it is due!!
  10. What's the coaches name from clarksville?
  11. From what is rumored, he was given the option of leaving or getting let go the last time he was there. Is this rumor correct? If it is, why was he let go in the first place? Was it bad enough to be fired? If it was, why was he given the opprotunity to resign? Did'nt he get fired at South Doyle for hitting a kid?
  12. Rumor has it that Swafford is in the running.
  13. First to middle of next week.
  14. They have narrowed it from 10 candidates to 3-4.
