Hey Legend!!!! Good post, but you're still missing the real reason the Bears are struggling. The Bears are like the Mets in baseball. They recruit the best players from other schools. Then they have supposedly "built" a great team. Just as the Mets, they can't win because of the "everybody is a star" mentality. Other schools' head coaches should take warning to the Bears substandard season. This just means the Bears will hit the recruiting trail hard and heavy in the off season. Better keep you players close to your vest. Go Cherokees!

Them Chargers put it to the Raiders last night!!! I wonder how good those Chargers would really be if the Bradley coach and a certain Bradley player's parent wouldn't have recruited the Adams kid away from Central. It makes one wonder.

Sources VERY close to the Cleveland program have told me that Rankin had inquired about the Cleveland job when Monroe retired the first time. He contacted Cleveland again recently when their coach (Leon Brown) resigned. Rumors have it that Rankin is interested for several reasons. First, What else does he have to prove at Riverdale. It's sort of like Spurrier, is there anymore of a challenge for him there.. Secondly, He has made a comment to numerous people that he wants to raise his children in a smaller community than Murfreesboro (We'll take him up at McMinn if Cleveland doesn't want him). Thirdly, He knows he can win at Cleveland because of the athletes and it is one of the highest paid head coaching jobs in Tennessee. The Cleveland situation is very murky and unclear. Supposedly, the whole town wants Benny Monroe back. The Superintendent supposedly isn't too keen on that idea. The AD and principal supposedly favor one of their assistants (Danny Wilson) and the school board supposedly wants Benny. So, who knows? I'm sure that situation will clear up shortly. My buddy in Cleveland feels the order in which he feels it will go is... 1. Monroe (I hear the big check cashing company owner is backing him. It has been said that he is more than willing to open up his checkbook for the program if they pick Monroe. I hear he's a billionaire, so I think he's got the cash to spend.) 2. Wilson 3. Rankin 4. Bill Allen (if he doesn't accept the Bradley job).

Bradley Central, RELOAD????!!!!! Haha! Try RECRUIT!!!! Kent Smith has got to hit the road and do some more recruiting. If I was the coach Elliot at McMinn, or the coach at either Cleveland High or Walker Valley, then I'd watch my nest. Bradley's coach has been known to rob another school's talent pool. Heck, Half of his team this year should have played for either McMinn County, Cleveland, or Walker Valley based on where each attended elementary school. Coach Smith uses the lame excuse that he does not recruit, he says that it is case of parental decisions. He has tried to get players like JuJuan Smith and the Little kid at Cleveland. When there were rumors that JuJuan Smith might go down to Cleveland High School to play, it was Kent Smith that cried that Cleveland High School was recruiting. That was a prime example of the pot callin' the kettle black! Thank goodness Coach Elliot was able to keep JuJuan at McMinn. For someone that does not recruit, Kent Smith sure has done a great job of trying to get Jonathan Adams from Baylor. I hear that Kent still is working on that one. The coach from Baylor better watch his back! I hope the area coaches are on their toes, or Kent Smith will once again have the number one recruiting class in the state! Go Tribe!!!!
