  1. Well- Its here- Tonight and tommorrow, can't wait fro the results of the 3200- anybody going tonight? Tommorrow?
  2. IS brentwoods Region not later this year than last- making him at least eligible for region. That is what happened to us- We did get our eligibility but even if we hadn't of, our region is a week later this year making what would have been a Year of sitting out over with before region starts!
  3. Ours is at Chattanooga Chrisitan. Nice new rubber track!
  4. Me and my son watched it last night- WOW- that was truly inspiring! Another one of those (total out of body experiences I would say). He just floated around the track, and then walked off so elegantly. He wasn't falling down from exhaustion or anything, just did his job and then left! I love that! The way it should be every time.
  5. What about Cherise Robertson from Ridgeway- she was just a freshman last year and placed 2nd in A/AA. Looks like if she could just pick up her speed just a little in the 800m, and hurdles she could definitely be a contender for it all in A/AA! Robertson was actually stronger in the field events, but Trimiew had the edge on the running events. There was around a 240 pt spread in the difference between Champion and runner up!
  6. well, on a local note- (of course) Julie wood from WVHS- does Shot Put, Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, 100m hurdles, and 300 hurdles and on occasion 4X400 relay. At cumberland Co. the other day she placed 1st in 3 of these events and 2nd in the other 3. The relay team was also 2nd! Liz Dyer is a younger athlete that has ALOt of talent in the pentathalon events, and can score alot of points for her team. She can run anthing from the 100-1600m, and compete in almost all field events!
  7. C. Morgan ran a 10:33 last week at Cumberland- It was his 1st time to run it too- No competition either. He'll probably stick with the 1600, and 800 though anyways! Spencer Whittier ran a 10:03 at the McCallie Midsouth Classic! Sounds like the 3200 will be very competitive this year- With Cowan, Pair, Whittier, Longstreth, and Howarters times are dropping every week- He got a late start on training, but will peek about time for region and state!
  8. I think they might be adding the 200(22.9) times together and thinking if he could hold it together he could go sub 48.00-----------Alot easier said then done!
  9. We were at Ooltewah on Tuesday. They do have some awesome sprinters in the relays, But Jared Sharpe burned them all in the 400m. The distance team isn't that strong at all. Who is Smith and did he run the open 800? Nobody ran ANYWHERE near a 1:50- The winning time was 2:15.
  10. A road race doesn't matter does it? Only if you accept cash prizes matters- doesn't it? I dunno.............................
  11. Distance Boys and girls is Very strong at walker Valley in A/AA!
  12. Or Thompson from BCHS- He excells in the long, triple, High Jumps, 100m, 200m, and 400m!
  13. well I guess I will too then-
  14. My computer is still crazy- I tried what you said and it still won't do, but thats ok- So, I guess all I really wanted to know is the winning time of the 3200 and 800??????
  15. Some reason I can't get the results to open on my comp. Could you copy and paste them, at least the boys 3200, 1600, 800, 400. Thanx!
  16. Walker Valley could be a contender- at Least in our region to make it to state- if the Coaches decide to go that route. Might need individuals in other events.
  17. TY for the confirmation Chief! I guess he was giving State times!
  18. Buckley has ran faster than a 10:31 hasnt he?- I thought he broke 10:00 at Vols Classic last year!
  19. Maryvilles Track may be accurate but TRUST me when I say alot of tracks are not exactly 400m- some may be just a meter or two long or short- Its not meant as an insult just an inquiry!
  20. To my knowledge it is just the best team overall with the lowest combined time- Could be made up of boys/girls/ whoever.....................doesn't matter-but their isnt a seperate "boys- girls" team.
  21. Walker Valley High School has 8 lanes, lots of lighting for those late night meets, boys and girls long jump pits, lots of nice bleachers, a wonderful PA system for announcing the runners etc........a top pf the line timing system, a great concession, plenty of parking and 2 huge bathrooms with plenty of stalls- All they need now is the rubberized surface and the pole vault pit which is coming very soon! Probably before this seasons end. ( and its just off the interstate- easy to find) and an extra plus is that it will be named after one of the Greatest Coaches to ever Live! The David W. Lewis Track and Field Complex~
  22. Just a question- Alot of tracks are short or long for that matter- they can be easily measured wrong a few meters here and there. We have 3 tracks in our town and only one is measured accurately.
  23. Someone said that Maryvilles track might not be exactly accurate-or a little short, does anyone know?
  24. It will be Saturday the 24th, and they score by the total accumulative time~ All the kids don't have to be from the same school either (I don't think) so if you only have so many you could combine with another school and split the prize money- HAHA! Course( Smith, Billingsley, Buckley, Drainer, and Boyd?? or yourself could count as a runner- but you might slow their time down- LOL)
