  1. Band is not all MARCHING band. As for concert band, Farragut has it pretty good. We sent 8 people to All-State. Woo go band.
  2. Maryville and Coach Hawkins...we are so proud of you. You all turned your season around. At the beginning things looked grim, but you have proved to all of us that you deserve to be in the state tournament. From 5th seed in the district tournament to the top 8 in the state..what a rally! Represent East Tennessee like we know you can. Keep on passing that Rocket Tech around...we love you!!
  3. unless you appeal and win
  4. Yeah, the WB offense was what I expected....completely scary. Callie leading off, a quick girl, Rachel, Tasha, McGill...alot to handle for the first 5. Rachel did a great job pitching, too. We were popping it up all night.
  5. Yeah and tell "Big Mac" McGill not to hit like that off me on Tuesday...daaaaaaaang. B Mac's my hero.
  6. errors...way to go farragut. it will be different tomorrow against bearden. halls didnt really matter; it's the district that counts. as long as we dont beat ourselves, i feel confident that our hitting will pull us through.
  7. That ump was cracking me up....in that first inning, he called two straight on the ground outside pitches strikes, so I just kept throwing them.. haha. I'll be missing the Webb scrimage this thursday for band....Halls has a really good band! Mr. Basham directs at Farragut sometimes, because he and our band director are really close friends. Go band! I agree about that Halls scrimage, both teams definitely didn't look that sharp. I was so distracted the entire time because I could hear Halls band playing near the field and I wanted to go see what they were doing... Guess I need to get band out of my system before March 14th.
  8. I wish Coach Moore would give us the schedule....he already has it. I can't WAIT to see who we play.

    Powell Playday

we played kingston saturday and won 6-1 or 7-1, i dont know... I was warming up while we played them. Jennifer Humphries is their pitcher, by the way. She said they had like 4 or 5 girls out for basketball.
  10. and their starting shortstop, but i think previous 2nd baseman amanda mccollum can step in at short. farragut scrimages karns friday @ farragut...come if you want to see some cut-throat softball.

    Powell Playday

Heritage was a tough team, and I don't expect any differently next year. I'd say that Heritage hit off me better than anyone did last year (from District 4-AAA), and if they didn't graduate many people then it shouldn't be any different. We played them twice last year and won both times 2-1, but they were close games...too close for my comfort. I can't wait to play you guys. In regard to the mounds being 37 feet....I like it, I wish softball was played that way (from a pitcher's perspective, of course. ). In the Karns game, even Chelsea McNew didn't get a hit off me, and that kid can hit off me better than anyone I know... well maybe besides Tia Blosser. I guarantee you that if the mound had been 3 feet back either Farragut or Karns would have scored a run. MAN. I just can't wait for season to start....I want it to be tomorrow!
  12. jessie howard at farragut is a phenom....not only can she run like the dickens, but she can steal, slide, and slap incredibly too... brittany james is a triple threat....great middle infielder, right handed hitting power, and left handed slapping...she's great. too bad she wont be able to play this season.
  13. hey....lets not generalize here. FARRAGUT doesn't have talk to back up. some people on our TEAM have talk to back up. not me. i think farragut has as good a chance as anybody does, and that goes for the entire season. we all know that anything can happen at anytime....we all thought cumberland county had a good shot at winning state last year, didnt we? i wouldnt go off saying that farragut performed poorly at the state tournament last year....i was not disappointed at ALL when we lost 2-1 in 11 innings to a team we'd previously beaten. i love a pitchers duel just as much as kandice does, and i look forward to many in the future. in the past, farragut has played defensive ball....we simply wouldn't let the other team score, and we'd wait for them to make the first mistake. i guarantee you this season will be different for all of us. farragut had some great defenders graduate, but others are stepping up....and i guarantee you the hitting will be better. i dont think it could have gotten any worse.... all i'm saying is that you shouldn't bash the entire team for the actions of just one. yes, i believe farragut could win the ooltewah tournament. but so could william blount or soddy daisy or boyd buchanan or GPS or ANYONE playing in the tournament. anything can happen on any given day.
  14. who was farragut's big offensive weapon? our two highest batting averages on the team from last year are returning. are you talking about becky mccraw, my best softball friend in the ENTIRE WORLD!!!!!????? (who recently played an inning for georgia tech the other day...!! go becky!) just wondering...not trying to be mean or anything.
  15. As a whole, totally preseason, totally AAA....what are your picks?
