Rutledge gave up 3 unearned runs to get beat by a solid out of state team The Ohio Knights. These guys could hit 1-9 , there are not many schools like that around here, but good pitching always gets good hitting. Rutledge should have come out on top. Better luck next time guys.

Rutledge (11-3) beat West Greene 13-3........ Rutledge was 11-27 at the plate. Zack Mabry got the win (4-0) on 4 ks, 4 hits ,3 runs, 0 earned runs and o bb. Brandon Harris led the way with 5 rbi's with 3-4 performance. Rutledge will be on the field monday at 4:30 against Claibrone Co.

View of the District: Rutledge should when the district and district tour..No excuse with the talent they have. The big question is who will come in second; Cumberland Gap can beat anybody with there big boy on the mound. He has good pop, decent control and he has avg. off speed. A few runs and a good performance by ths kid and your done in the first round if you play THE GAP. PF is a scrappy bunch with a great coach. There best game is when Cannon is on the mound (what a baseball name). He has a good curve and fair pop; what makes him more effective is the difference in his fastball and curve. Cannon throws a looping curve, with alot of spin and can spot both pitches. Cumberland Gap,Union Co. West Greene, Claiborne Co., South Greene and C-D will all trade wins through the season but the top 3 will finish like this. 1.Rutledge 2. Piegon 3.C-D (will surprize some people)

This is a very true statement..... I played@ ETSU and Carson Newman.....with most of our players from the East Tenn area "we beat them" 1999 when UT wa 14-5 at the time.. THE TALENT THAT COULD HAVE BEEN AT UT IS AMAZEING.....Something needs to change....
