Under no circumstance should an umpire put his hands on a player behavior like this should not be tolerated or justified. There was no unacceptable physical behavior from Gant or are you referring to when he threw his cap into the dugout. I'm sure you have no clue what Gant's parents think of this. They do know every word that was said and what really happened. They were watching Clayton the whole time before, during, and after the "incident". At no time was he in the umps face and at no time did he initiate contact with the ump.
