Baylor did not play walker valley for personal reasons but McCallie did come down and play at WV. McCallie got on the board earlier with a Grand Slam in the top of the first, but WV returned the favor when Brandon Turner hit a Solo HR with 2 outs and a 3-1 count. Paul Sorah walked and tyler Stafford then hit a 2 run hr and pat dye hit a solo hr to tie the game in the first. Both teams scored 1 more in the second then went through 4 innings of not scoring. Walker valley went up by 2 in the bottom of the second when evan mcguire and dustin fromm scored on tyler stafford's second hit of the night. Pat dye got the win and Paul Sorah pitched the 7th allowing 1 run on 1 hit and 1 error.

Update on Walker Valley! Their current record is 22-2 after a district win against Polk. Their district record is now 7-0. They have 3-4 players batting over .400 with now 13 homeruns and two players over 30 rbis on the season. Way 2 Go WV and keep up the great games!!!! Oh and sorry for the 'Stangs to prove u wrong Jakethesnake about the McCallie game...

Brandon Turner(Walker Valley) has to be one of the top infielders in east tennessee. He has made a few more errors this year but he is still a very aggressive player.

Their two loses came to Colquitte County, GA and Lowndes County, GA.

Walker & Polk will make up the Tuesday rain out game on Thursday (4-15-04) at Walker valley at 5 and the jv will play shortly after......

Ladyraider10....walker valley did not play in the end of the tournement b/c they had 2 big district games the next two days and it is stupid to risk injuries over a tournement game when you know you have your two biggest games of the regular season coming up. and i saw Walker valley play in the hixson tournement when they beat Chatt. Central to win the tourne. and they fell behind but had the drive to come back, i believe that it will take a whole lot to take WV down they are a well rounded ball club with players on the bench just as good as the starting 9. Their record is now 19-2

#1 Sweetwater does have good drainage but has no lights! #2 Walker Valley has, from what i hear, the nicest field and facilities. Coach Mike Turner really keeps up with his field, he puts his heart in what he does.
