  1. I'll be there. Kenwoodrun you always keep us updated. We must have the SCOOP on Clarksville. Since we dont seem them to Regions. They always have something up their sleeve that no one knows about. I did'nt know the Northeast girl (Trisha) went to Rossview, they should be nice. Rossview could own the 4x1. I'll have to let our girls know whats up. Why did she move? They should have a nice 4 x 4 considering they placed high last year and Trisha a 400 runner. (do you have your 400 runner back this year?) It will be interesting to see Rossview's duo match up against the duo Erika Palmer & Monica Braswell from Memphis East. Thanks Kenwoodrun.
  2. Well the Region should be very interesting there are many sleepers and dark horses that always seem to emerge out of no where. The relays should be intersting because their is no clear cut dominate squad. Hillwood should have nice relays as well as Franklin and Mcgavok. But none out of Clarksville? somehthings always cookin in Clarksville. Somebody will step up and represent their city. Kenwood and Northeast always have at least one good relay if not more, so you dont think they will compete, heard from a friend of mine that in Clarksville Northeast 4 x2 was very nice. When is the next meet that we can see some of the teams from Clarksville?
  3. Thanks for your synopsis. Your talking about Donald Edwards, he graduated, but his brother Derrick is still there( he's not as fast as his brother) Deray Sloss is a very great talent! But you say Franklin, I havent heard too much about them. You think they could win the region?
  4. Kenwoodrun what do you think? You always have the synopsis on whats going on. You sound like you kno what your talking about most of the time, so give us the scoop!
  5. As most people know, Lamarcus Coker will not be competing this year due to the fact Coach Fulmer won't allow him to.( Dont blame him, we know Coker's hamstring) So that leaves the door open for a new sprint king. 4 x 4 * Franklin lost 1st and anchor legs. * Hillwood ? * I pick McGavok to go to state in the 4x4 whose gonna step their game up? MY PICK : McGavok......... watch and see ! 4 x 2 *Hillwood lost 2 legs. *Kenwood lost a few. *Northeast still has a few. these were the top teams in Regionals 2004. MY PICK : Northeast.......... watch and see! 4 x 1 * Maplewood were champions in 2004, but as we know they lost 2 to gradution( 1 was the hurdler) and another 1, was the illegal player on the football team(20 year old) their 2nd leg. ( they look to be out) *Franklin lost their 2nd and 3rd leg. * McGavok was in the lead till thier anchor pulled up injured. (sleeper?) * Hillwood another sleeper, theirs no tellin what Chuck Lewis is cookin. * Northeast 4th could be a sleeper. * Stratford, Kenwood? MY PICK : Will have to see !!!!! Who can own the sprints in Middle Tennessee? Any ideas or names come to mind?
  6. I know a 4 x2 people should, keep their eye on...... but will keep them under the radar. just know they placed high at regoinals last year and returns 1 leg, but their 3 new are much better than before, and they have 2 that should be 2 of the top 200 runners in the midstate. Look for them to run 1:30 or under soon. you'll see. I want to leave it a secret. I think Hillwood has a nice 4x2, im not sure. Who do you know?
  7. NORTHEAST CAN WIN, AND WILL WIN CUZ WITH GOD 4 THEM WHO CAN BE AGAINST THEM? NO ONE! BIG HEAD OVER WHAT? NORTHEAST BEATING NW WAS NOT AN UPSET TO NORTHEAST, WE EXPECTED TO BEAT NW, SO ONCE AGAIN YOUR WRONG, NO BIG HEADS, LIKE NW HAD AFTER LAST SEASON, NORTHEAST WANTS TO START OFF 3-0. STOP THROWIN SALT, WHAT A HATER!
  8. Northeast does'nt pay any attention to the opinions of anybody because these kids are used to not getting respect from anyone so the know they have to come ready to bust heads coming friday. With senior leadership they should be fine Matt Scott and Daniel Swenson carry the offense and Nate Wilson, Donald David, Forrest Gillespie and eight other seniors carry defense. The Eagles will be fine, just wait and see.
  9. As much as I hate to say it being a part of the Viking Alumni I honestly think that Northeast Eagles are going to make some noise in the region. They only loss four or five seniors last year Im not sure there defense didnt lose anybody. The runningback Matt scott is a kid who's name will be across the midstate. Is he better than Wilkerson heck No. Saying all of that the eagles will not be my Vikings they will be lucky to fall within 20 points but they probaly will beat everyone else. It hurt to say that but I had 2 GO VIKINGS 2004 STATE CHAMPIONS
  10. I think it was definantly the 4 x 100 relay, anyone who was sitting in the audience knows, when the race got to the 3rd leg everyone was on their feet. But the 4x4 had the 4x1 beat, as far as crowd particpation, When it came time to start the 4x4 and the teams were called to their blocks, everyone, and I mean everyone was on their feet for the whole race. (If you was there then you know) Whats some of yalls ?
  11. I agree with a lot of those for me it was, * Lauren Stewart high jumping 6 ft. * the girl Krishna Curry from USN, run 2 teams down on the anchor leg of the 4 x 800, no lie, when she got the stick 1st and 2nd were coming on to the backstretch, it was amazing. * Memphis East 4x200 relay run that 1:38.6 they were running by themselves, and I don't know if anyone paid attention but they had 2 bad handoffs, one was noticeably bad. I think they really had a low 1:37 in them. *Once again the girl from USN in the 400, 55. *Once again the same girl walk the girl on the anchor of the 4x4 relay, the girl was in the end of the curve, when she got the stick, she walked her then left her, it was really ugly. -boys- *Simeon Harris in both hurdles. *Hamilton's 4x100 was tight too. * The dude from McCallie who won the 1,2,&4. * Last but not least Cordova's 4x4 was rolling it was no contest, they won by 3 seconds. on the first leg it was a little close, then on leg two he handed off in good position, the on leg 3 that man went all out and started to fade a little in the end but gave the stick to Simeon with about a 10m lead. Simeon opened the race up, he got out fast and kept it up on the backstrectch. he was going so fast that I thought he was going to fatigue badly, but no, he held it together good, and brought it home with no contest on the anchor leg. they finished 3:18.05 they were rollin fast. The meet was very good this year way better than last year. The only problem I had was in the boys 4x4 teams were in their running over 3:30, when in our regional meet , McGavock ran a 3:22 and lost by like 5 hundredths of a second, but they're sitting at home. that's not fair. also in the girls 400 AAA, Chimaka Obi of Rossview placed 3rd at state, but wasn't suppose to run originally because she placed 3rd at regionals, but the girl who won had to scratch. That is a prime example, something needs to be done about state qualifying.
  12. yup, your right Kenwoodrun, we both said watch out for Cordova, but as usual no one listens. You can't underestimate anyone, and like Kenwoodrun said " you shouldn't make guarantees with limited knowledge" So in the end Bearden finished 4th and Cordova finished 1st so like I said I would do, " I told you so"
  13. OK, I said it the wrong way, their not weak, but noy as tough as ours. No need to get salty, BHS, Are any of yall going to state, I am hopefully I'll see yall down there and we will make a bet on who is right. I understand times can drop, but your not going to drop from a 22.9 to a 21.9 to even place in the top 4, yes times can drop but not drastically. If I'm wrong about Bearden finishing 1st or 2nd then I'll come back and apoligize, and say I was an idiot, but if they don't then Ima say I told you so...........
  14. ummmm..... take a look around, you can't go off 3 events, it takes more than three to win a championship. And yes their region is weak, they don't even have prelims, and some of their time in our region would'nt get you to state. 11.15, 1:31.6? and the 200 meter dash 22.9 and 23.0 wouldn't even qualify for the finals. I'm not doubting their team, no offense but yes their region is weak and , NO they will not finish first at state nor will they finish runner- up. BET THAT UP.
