It wasn't poor officiating, they were offsides on one, and knocked our keeper down on the other. They were a very good team with a lot of skill. The tall forward had one of the hardest volleys I have seen in a long time. Congrats to Sheffield for an excellent tradition.

SocBlue4, it was GREAT to talk to you after our Sheffield game today. I was so impressed with all of the things you have been through, and still are standing tall. Once again, to LA boys... congrats! You guys played with class, and that says so much more in my book than anything else. You have done something that no other LA team has done! People can say what they want, post what they want, but you brought it to Memphis! Good luck SocBlue4 in whatever you do in college. And to the returning players, hope to see you next season!!!

I think we will be talking about this for quite a while.

I heard that it was an indirect, and a player scooped it straight up, and Daniel came and volleyed it out of the air.

I was very impressed with CCS's end of the season. If this tells you anything, it should tell you that regardless of a team's record, you can still go far! Awesome job, CCS. Records and rankings mean nothing in Memphis. You guys played a great game from what I saw. We really look forward to seeing you again on Saturday. Please convey my congrats to your team and coach.

Thanks Hoya. Things have really worked out this season. The new guys have stepped up to the roles that were left by a huge senior class that left. I was really rooting for you guys to take it the whole way. Now we have to put up with you in districts!!! See you all next year!!

It's amazing how many different times I have heard and all of the people were there!!! I would say 30 seconds was about right, although my assistant says about 1:00. The Knoxville paper says that Farragut could appeal, but what would that do? The semi's will be played before the TSSAA would even have a chance to review it. And even if they did appeal, and they won the appeal, what would you do? You can't replay the game, or call it a tie... It's just a tough situation.

What I don't understand about the foul (and it was a foul and should have been called but called immediately) is why the linesman called it when the center was right there. I think the problem was that there was so much time after the incident, and the center was only a few yards away. I think it was his call to make, and he didn't call it (he let a lot of things go that should have been called for both sides). I'm not trying to argue with BHS, or their win. I just think the refs handled it poorly. What I saw was an excellent game. Best of luck to BHS.

Farragut scored, but for some reason it was called back. The linesman said there was a foul by Farragut in Farragut's defensive half, but the play had continued for 30 seconds or so, and Farragut scored. I don't know why they called it back, since the center was right there when it happend, but they did.

Grace, you got a great team. Hope to see you next season!!!

LA scored first, and then Sheffield tied it up. Sheffield scored rather late in the second half, and held on for the remainder. One of Sheffield's players got a hard red, but I was watching the Farragut game, so I don't know which one it was. We will play them tomorrow at 6:30.

Don't let ANYONE down play the success that you have had, Grace. Besides FRA, you were the BEST A/AA team we have faced this year. Great game, and I hope to see you next season!

GGE and Smarterchild feel that they need to have a private argument on a public forum. While GGE has done a much better job on his posts, both of them seem to want to prove something to each other. It's not going to happen. Move on.

Enough... both of you need to shut up. I'm sick of it. Post like this again, and they will be deleted or closed. That goes to GraceGoldenEagle AND smarterchild and anyone else who feels they need to totally belittle another team.

We do DVDs, and our film guy has intros and sets them to music. He is AWESOME. If you are really interested, we have almost every game. So send me a private message with your e mail, and we'll work it out. Our film guy sets the price, but I'm sure we could work something out. Now get back to work!!!

They did back when they were in Finley, but they haven't in the past 2 years. We do all of ours, though.

Hopefully our hotel will have high speed internet so I can respond while in Memphis. Great thoughts. FRA vs. LC I think LC losing their starting sweeper and outside fullback will make their jobs a lot harder with FRA. While I am a BIG LC fan, I don't know if they have the passion that they have had in the past few years. FRA is a quality team. LA vs. Sheffield: I am calling for my boys at L.A. to pull this one through! It is good to see Sheffield back again. They have a bunch of great players! CCS vs. Westview: CCS is gonna send their coach off with style. But I do think it will be a close one.

I'll say this. And it might seem crazy to come from the opponent that you are playing, but don't let all the negative hype get you down Grace. Whatever other's say, we respect your skill and know that you are going to give us a great game. I think that you guys are not giving them enough credit.

Yeah, you knew I was going to have to say something about this... It's like that football story with the coach (I forget who) who told his players after they scored a touchdown.. "Act like you have been here before, and plan on being again". Anyone can win, but true champions win with class. You don't need to rub anything in anyone's face. Be proud but be humble, because there is ALWAYS someone out there who is better than you. We got our taste from Farragut this year, and it was a hard pill to swallow, but the medicine did us good. And if you are a Grace player, remember Who you represent. That's enough rambling from an old man. Take it for what it is worth.
