As a player i'd like to comment on this. I do agree that team accomplishments are the most important. But, from experience I know that individual trophies and awards are more than just a pretty trophy on the wall. This year I worked very hard to get my awards for the sole factor that I wanted to dedicate them to my best friend that passed away recently. And if awards aren't so important, then why do they ask you to list them on your college applications?? Every application i've filled out they ask me to list them. And years from now when i'm too old to play ball, I can look back at the trophies and know I did accomplish something. Or even when someone is very old and they have grandchildren that play ball, i'm sure they'd like to have them. So, I don't believe in the fact of it as a material accomplishment as much as I do a mental accomplishment. Knowing that I have the heart and the mental capability to do something really good, makes me feel like I have done something I can remember. And that's all I have to say. Kandice Heath #33

Hey, I currently go to the diamond academy and I think darrell is a wonderful man, as well as a great trainer. I go for my hitting and I watch his pitchers. If he sees a pitcher "crow hopping" or "leaping" he will stop them then and there and work with them for hours if need be to correct the mistake. He does the same with batting. When I first starting going he told me I had a terrible swing and he worked with me until it was fixed. If he didn't have the time, he had someone else that knew what they were doing to help. So, I know for a fact that he doesn't teach that. Also, I have hit against both the girls for Coalfield and I don't see where they "leap". I actually think they are good pitchers. Oh and by the way, I think Coalfield's doing a great job. Keep up the good work you all. God Bless, Kandice Heath #33

hey rsquared, Do you think the reason the headache is so bad, because of all the cold buckets of ice water dumped on ya??.....lol... sorry I didn't miss that one... it looked pretty cold. Anyways, just wanna say great job to your girls... that was truly awesome seeing someone come back like that!! Good luck tomorrow, but not too much. Don't wanna stick it out with ya'll like wartburg and get the pants beat off us...lol. And I just wanna say also.... i've very proud of our girls no matter how the games turn out tomorrow. This is the greatest season and the greatest girls i've ever played with, and it's about time Sunbright doesn't have to end the night with a bus ticket back to Sunbright. hey everyone, I first of all wanna wish everyone luck! I think Sunbright or Coalfield's gonna come out on top. I know i'm all about sunbright, but I gotta be. I mean we're playin for keeps now. I'm ready for whatever's handed. You girls play hard, cause I think Coalfield is a great team. Great girls on that team. My hat is off to you all. Hey all, first of all i'd like to thank you for the kind words rsquared. I know, that no coach is wonderful, or they wouldn't be a coach...lol. I do respect you highly. I'm proud of our girls and love every last one of them with all my heart. I hope your team does well. They deserve it. Iconu2, our schedule for this week is... Tomorrow may 4, we play oakdale @ oakdale at 1pm Wednesday may 5, we play wartburg @ sunbright (home) at 4:30 pm and Thursday May 6. we play scott high @ scott high @ 5 pm. If you wanna see us play a good game i'd suggest the first two. Scott high is struggling this year. No offense intended to Scott High. Anyways, if there is anything else you wanna know just ask. Oh yes, and I would like to end my post saying that oneida and coalfield are the most respectable teams i've ever played. If anyone from oneida and coalfield are reading I would just like to make that known. That takes a real coach and a true team to have girls like that. Thank you all for making my experience on the field a positive one. And also even though scott high isn't in our district and they are having an unfortunate year I believe they are very nice as well, and trying very hard. Keep workin you guys, it's all in your heart. Iconu2, Thanks for replying to my reply. I play to play, I am a good player, and I don't say that to be self centered. Again coaches being unimpressed doesn't bother me. I don't talk with my mouth or words on a screen. I talk on the field with my game. My coach hasn't done anything to get scouts to look at us. We have three wonderful seniors, and no scouts yet. You asked about the schedule well Mon April 26 oneida @ oneida 5pm EST Friday April 30 coalfield @ sunbright 1pm EST Mon May 3 rockwood @ sunbright 5pm EST Tues May 4 Oakdale @ Oakdale 1pm EST Wed may 5 wartburg @ sunbright 4:30 pm EST Thur May 6 Scott County @ Scott County 5 pm EST Mon- fri may 10-15 district tournament @ rockwood That's our schedule. Yes, I am a senior, and of course no my coach has done nothing to get me a scholarship. Also, no I didn't lie about my averages and rbi's I am hitting a .655 and have 24 rbis in 8 games.
