Yeah you all didnt start Bibee or whatever his name is. He is going on a baseball scholarship not a football scholarship so that has nothing to do with him being any good at football. I know that he is not even in the same breath as Lee Smith when it comes to football.

Karns made it to their first playoff game in a century it seems like last year. All because of the running back they had. Don't talk about Powell never wining the first game or second game of their playoffs whenever Karns can't hardly even make to see a playoff game. They are done about mid season usually be cause they have already lost enough games so that everyone in their district could lose out and Karns still wouldn't go. I think you will be surprised how far Powell will go this year. You just wait and see and i'm sure Farragut will go far as well. So why don't you just keep you ignorant comments to yourself next time. Ha Ha!!!

I may be wrong but i know im not but Karns did DROP Powell and Farragut from their schedule this year. Guess they just cant hang with the big boys!!!!! Just like in every other sport.

Karns doesnt knock anybody in the teeth and they have droped everybody in their schedule from last year because they are scared. No wonder no one wants to play for Karns. I'm suprised they even have a football program.

Nice post Panther08 i couldn't agree with you more. I heard Jay Courtney and Josh Huffaker had a good week at camp this past week and expect to see some improvement in the running game this year for Powell as well.

Powell will lose one game and Halls won't be one of them.

If it is the top athlete i would have to go with Cody Watts. The kid could play just about any sport but elects just to play football and does a pretty good job at that. He could probably go out there and excel in every sport and could be the best at just about everyone he participated in. I wouldn't say he is the best football player in East TN, even though his name could get tossed in the mix, but as overall athlete he would get my vote.

Let them cheer all they want, because they just beat Riverdale 2-0 to move on in the state tournament. Cause i bet half of you all saying the comments about them are either getting ready for summer ball or not playing at all right now

i dont know about them going out in the first round to campbell county. I think Powell will be the team to watch. I don't think that they will win it or even come in second, but the should have beat central twice this year, should have beat oak ridge twice and beat them once, and have hung close with everyone else except Halls who no one has hung with all year.

He might have been a fast ball pitcher but you didnt seem to hit that fast ball very well until the district touney. Oh yeah and i guess his fast ball was good enough to land his a spot a UT. Im sure he could shut Powell down this year but not last year huh

Oh yeah and if we are talking about last season Plumlee sure did make you all everything shortstop look good seeing that he went 1-8 against him last season with a bloop for a hit.

I heard they won 1-0 on a homerun by Nick Lakin and that was the only run they scored. And i dont know who said they beat LC 11-1 but i heard the score was really 3-1. I dont know whose getting on here and writing these post but i dont think they are right.

Is that right Larryboy, how did he make all kil 2nd baseman look bad from Powell. I guess that was a smart move by the catcher graduating early and sorry about the pitching mistake i guess he got a few more mph over the summer. Was that the Bearden and Maryville JV team or varsity. lol Lets see if he can shut out Halls though.

They were young last year i think starting about all sophmores. Towards the end of the season i started to see a lot of team work and togetherness and i think that the Bobcats could be the team to watch out for this year and the next.

I'll give you that one since you did beat us when it mattered although we had you beat at your place last year and we demolished you in the second game at our place. But you did play very well after defeating the panthers as you all went on to be run rulled by Halls in the championship game and then i think it was the same in the region as Farragut thumped you just like they did all year. But hey way to represent our district well. Will see how you do this year with that new coach of yours.

I shouldnt say they dont have any sticks. Lakin and Hargis and even sometimes Spradlin could provide some spark at the plate.

They have no hitters on the team. I went to their first scrimmage and they didn't even manage to get 1 hit. They will be pretty solid at times in the infield and make some errors in the outfield, but without any sticks they want be bringing home very many runs. Hope they know how to steal bases and bunt well.

What in the heck are you thinking Larryboy. You must be crazy. The lefty with the nasty curve throws about 55 mph. Maybe the scouts from coach pitch will be looking at him to throw for their kids but not for college or major leaugue. Dana Mayes didn't touch the ball all year last year so i dont know what you are talking about him cleaning up at the plate. And the cathcer cant get up off his knees quick enough to throw anyone out, so it looks like to me you dont have a clue what your talking about.
