How would that be the biggest win in tiger history poker? Whitwell went to the state tournament in 79 the same year dunlap did? They have had some pretty good teams in the past too. Wake up poker and realize yeh whitwell has been down in recent years but they arent richard hardy ......come on.......a win over south pitt wouldnt be the biggest in "tiger history". I would say Steven Roberts of Marion COunty, and Nathan Powell of Whitwell. Coach Roberts at Marion has to go against the big dogs of Chattanooga in AA (csas east ridge for ex) with nowhere near that talent level yet he gets those boys to work hard and compete every night. Coach Powell at Whitwell seems to fit the same bill as Roberts they seem to be playing harder more fundamental and alot more disciplined so far this year. Of course we have a great coach here at Sequatchie in Coach Smith too! I think he has earned his respect and isnt quite as new and up and coming as the two i mentioned, people know theyare in for a fight when they play us and its in large part b/c of him

Which teams have improved or been disappointments so far? We(Seq. Co) dont have the best record but we have played a prety totugh sched. Just curious on how the other teams are doing.

What does Marions girls beating you by one and your boys beating Richard Hardy by one have to do with one another? Just curious?

Heard it was a good hard fought game by both teams, and both teams held it together in an intense game...sounds like good coaching on both sides by two young guys if im not mistaken.

74 - 51 is what my friend said. He goes to Marion and said it was close most of the way then Marion pulled away late. I predicted this! If only i was this good in picking lotto numbers. My friend said it was a well played game on both sides any details?

Bball12 I believe it was around 97 or 98 my older brother played here at dunlap and said whitwell had a decent team then. Because i think that was about the last time we lost to them also. So for a team that hasnt beaten someone in 7 or 8 years to be talking so much is crazy.

I agree with purple fan tigercheer and your players and new coach are in for a rude awakening when you travel to dunlap....wont even be close. By the way why are you all so excited about beating st andrews? Marion killed them so looks like whitwell may be in trouble.....good luck anyway you all will surely need it. Like i have said before new coach...same players....same results!

Good luck to all the valley teams. We have soddy daisy coming up. SHould be a little tougher than st andrews i would think. Im looking forward to getting to play some of the teams in the valley sounds like some excitement down there.

I was at one of Seq scrimmages too and i too wont be too specific but i have to say i was impressed witht he teams patience. Coach Smith always has our guys playing hard. Any other teams in the valley had jamborees or scrimmages to talk about yet?

Country30 sounds as though you are either an avid follower of the tigers or you worship coach green. A"spiritual man" wow thats odd on a football board. Yeah he gave praises but he couldnt give a hand shake i hear. As for the game I think boyd obviously is the more talented team as the 59 - 0 score indicates. I hear there s rain in the forecast though so that and the fact boyd will be trying to stay healthy may close the gap some, not enough though. ill say boyd 42 whitwell 7. I can remeber word for word what the article said after the boyd game but seems as though i do remember the somment about "we cant compete witht hem" (thats a semi quote country30 dont stroke out) and now they play again kind of a foot in the mouth deal i guess. best of luck whitwell. Be glad after friday whitwell you wont have to play them anymore and the move to AA where they will roll in to dunlap next year and kill us. Misery loves company.

I guess football is starting to wind down now in the valley. We have a bowl game south pitt is out, marion will be and if whitwell wins they play at boyd and will get drilled again.
