  1. Well really all there is to it is that Hickman County is a bigger team team as far as numbers and size and probablyjust a better team than Waverly but they are AAAA so you have to expect that. Waverly did have there chances though and came out strong actually whipping Hickman Co. up and down the field in the 1st quarter. So the idea that Waverly didnt come ready to play is pretty rediculous. Also the idea that all the line did was tell the QB top run is completely rediculous as well. The O-Line especially played wuite well all night run blocking pretty well and pass blocking extremely well. The fact is that Hickman Co. has about 85 players and can sub out freely and Waverly has 40 and cannot and Hickman is a big physical team, but its gonna be this way a lot of the year for Waverly so they are just gonna have to buck up and get used to it. The game against Richland will definately put things in a better perspective for them and show them where they are really at.
  2. I always enjoy looking at a Stewart County football thread because there is always some idiot who makes the rediculous claim that SC will beat Waverly. Not only will Stewart County not beat Waverly, but it wont even be a game. It will be much more of a blow-out than last year. I saw someone posted the score of 25-0 but that score doesnt even show the dominance of Waverly in that game I mean they were up 14-0 in the first 4 minutes of the game. Stewart County struggled to even get a first down all night, and when they got one it was like scoring for them and they gave up on the rest of the drive. I have been hearing quite a bit that Stewart County will be improved this year, but i only hear it from Stewart CO. fans. Maybe someday SC fans and players that get on coacht and make rediculous claims of their vast improvements and predict victories over Waverly will realize that they stink. They stunk in the past, they stink now, and they will stink in the future. Waverly will win the matchup this year by 4+ touchdowns.
  3. Yes, Blue should stack up some yards this year coming back with experience gained last year being his first year ever playing TB moving from his FB position. Also Alex Green who appeared might be moved to a reciever position will be fit back into his natural position at TB as well. These two should be a very dangerous duo in Waverly's backfield this year with great contrasting styles. They will also be benifited by a much improved but young O-Line than last year's.
  4. Waverly is doing max-outs this week. Notables are Senior RB,S J.T. Blue (first max-out since his shoulder injury) with 255 on bench and 365 on squat, Senior RB,LB Casey Waggoner with 240 on bench and 475 on squat, Senior WR, OLB J.T. Upchurch with 245 on bench and 465 on squat, and Sophomore OL,DL Josh May with 275 on bench and 415 on squat. Numbers being put up in the weight room by Waverly are very exciting this year. Much higher than those in the past and hopefully that will translate to more success on the field.
  5. Waverly has a couple Freshman (going to be Sophomores) who did some contributing and will now be big factors on the O-Line putting up some BIG numbers in the weight room.
  6. Look at this way, the coach can hit the recruiting trail earlier this year,
  7. It is 17 in a row , junior. Get it right if you want to act like you have half of a brain.
  8. Two great players from Waverly signed to Bethel on signing day. B.J. Jewell(OL,DT) and Matt Warren (MLB,FB)
  9. Well as far as the so-called gaudy numbers in the weight room, the numbers i told were 100% true, and i am without a doubt no Camden fan. Lastly as far as the Adamsville challenge our guys are ready an looking foward to our match up next year( but this time it aint gonna go to overtime).
  10. Thought this would be an interesting topic for all you 6-2a fans to brag on your players or team and see who's numbers in the weight room are looking best this off-season.
  11. Guys think i'm crazy if you want but you better watch out for the Waverly Tigers. Now i might be biest because i am a Wacerly fan, but i will tell you they are gonna have a winning record next year. It seems like very team in the region is going down, but Waverly is on the rise without a doubt. They lost a few Seniors and they will be young (won't have a senior on the offensive line) but the numbers in the weight room are already higher than they were last year and have been for a long time. I saw where the guy fom Riverside posted saying the guy that was a beast squatted 405, well Waverly has about 8 or 10 guys already squatting that and on the rise. Not making any promises or predictions yet but 6-2a better watch out for the Tigers.
  12. Waverly's Freshman played a good game and beat the Stewart County JV squad, but after that it got ugly. Another display of complete inability to play a whole game. It seems like they think they have won if they are in the game at half time, and usually they should just stay in the locker room for the second half.

  14. Well I'm not really sure how this one will fall. I'm just confused on how Mcewen is undefeated right now. In our preseason scrimmage they didn't have anything. Right now they are the only team that has beat Stewart County and Waverly seemed to have a better team than Mcewen but that's what we said before the Perry County game when they had already got stomped by Mcewen so we thought we would cruise but that one didn't go to well either so i don't know what will happen.
  15. No nwtf, he meant Mcewen beat Perry County's boys, and hes saying that means they're in trouble. Hope Wavo does pull out the W.
