I think Alcoa could compete with some good 5-a schools, and I think Ootelwah would not compete with Maryville. Ootelwah hasn't had to play any good teams yet i take nothing away from there undafeated season so far i hear they got a speedy team, but any team would have trouble having a winning record with Heritage's schedule the worst team that Heritage has played so far is 6-1 West and 6-1 Alcoa.

I think Oak Ridge will win pretty easily but i look for us to keep it closer then everyone thinks, since we switched our punter we should be ok, against Maryville they would start on our 40 or 30 on every possesion except once. I say Heritage suprises some people but Oak Ridge is to dominant at every posistion for this to be to close. Heritage 6 Oak Ridge 35

I know i shouldnt have flipped off the crowd that was wrong but when everything is going bad for us and i keep hearing someone yelling my name behind me and i turn around and they keep screaming Heritage stinks a million times it doesnt help i was just frustrated but anyways i know who Rebelraider is but i really dont care. Our defense did ok but we just cant defend a field of 30 yards everytime to a incredible team and not expect them to score. We fumbled on our own 10 let in a punt return and also had a whopping 12 yard punt our D just couldnt stay off the field all night we have to fix our offense. Actually our D is good and no we dont line up 5 yards behind the line we line up 3 and the middle lines up 4. We have a spur which is our outside linebaker head up on the WR and there both fast so we wont have to worry to much about that, but playing Maryville there will always be something that we havent seen. I think Heritage has a good chance of making it tough on Maryville but dont see us taking Maryville theres to many weapons. Im telling you all right now Maryville will not kill Heritage. Heritage plays there heart out until the last minute of play, they do not get discouraged if they fall behind early unlike last year.

Heritage lost 27-20 to West and 7-6 against Farragut with a missed extra point and field goal u dont think were competative at all?? We have fought it out until the end every game, i have a lot of respect for Maryville and there players but you all don't need to be talking so much trash were supposed to be talking about the game not how bad you think Heritage is and making jokes about them.

Heritage is at least competative this year, they could easily be 2-0 right now. About Heritage just taking up space on your schedule is the stupidest thing ive heard Heritage has won this game the last 2 out of 5 years. Heritage will not lose by 40 something so dont even say you will give them a 40 pt cushion. Heritage has to good of a defense to let them have 40 pts anyways. I expect Heritage to give them a fight and play there hearts out but fall short. Rebelraider if Heritage got to play Halls, Clinton, and Carter every year then they would be in the playoffs everyyear but we dont thats how things work. 4a is really weak this year except Maryville and Central.

45-6 thats not even realistic this year. Heritage will not let Maryville score 45 points. I dont know if Heritage can score more then 6 but give Heritage's D a little more credit.

Maryville is a great program and will always be but they also always have weak opponents. If they get moved up to 5-a next year they will be challenged by a number of teams like Oak Ridge, Ootelwah i think could give them a great game this year. Soddy Daisy. all these teams could give Maryville a fight for there life and i havent even mentioned the other ones. If they kill Heritage this friday that should show people that they are for real, Heritage has stepped up so far and are getting so close to winning every game this year so dont be suprised if this is a close one, could be interesting. Watch out for Heritage's Defense to shut down the run. They held a supposably great running back Michael Wright to 32 yards on 13 carries and held the entire farragut offense to 81 yards total.

Heritage should have won this game bottom line. They had a extra point blocked and a field goal. The second drive of the game they had a 16 play drive to Farraguts 7. The refs started the clock way to early and called a delay of game and Heritage couldnt get it in from there and end up getting there field goal blocked. Heritage shut down Farraguts offense all night whether Farragut started on Heritages 30 or there own territory it was 3 and out for most of the night. Heritage will win a game this year they are to good not too.

Farragut is gonna have a really tough time containing Heritage's QB he is so fast when he goes out on his rollout passes. If Heritage can just stop them a few times on defense they should get the win.

Does anyone really know if Farragut is really that good or just been playing poor teams because they have been beating teams really bad but then again karns and the other team they played i heard werent that good. I know they have a stud rb but thats all ive heard. Heritage only won one game last year and it was against Farragut and im just curious of how much better they are this year.

Heritage has a great run defense should be a close game but with Heritage's QB be the 2nd fastest in the county and good accuracy on the roll out they will be hard to stop on offense. Heritage could have beaten them a lot worse but Coach Rewis likes to play his back up varsity team after the first team to get them some playing time. The starting D might have let them have 20-30 yrds total. The linebackers did a awesome job in stopping the run and option. One of the options was pitched and Daniel Gregory jumped in front of the tail back and took it for a score D was awesome tonight.

1st thing there is no way Carter will beat Maryville this year they have to much talent. 2nd of all Heritage will beat West there JV won 30-0 last year against them i know thats just JV but there stud is gone and hes the only one that scored on Heritage last year, but we will see what happens please people keep giving your predictions

I want to hear some predictions on the games in Blount County for week 1 there are some good game going to take place. William Blount and Central should be an awesome game along with Maryville @ Carter......West @Heritage and Alcoa vs.South Doyle. I want to hear predictions for all teams and if anyone knows anything about West it would be appreciated i heard there best WR Williford is gone so they shouldn't be much but i'd like to hear from someone that knows. Coach Rewis runs a 3-5 with his safety lined back 23 yards which is kinda unique but very effective. He helped coach for the west in the east and west all star game. He also helped coach in the Georgia all star game when he used to coach there. The longest its taken him to bring a team to the playoffs is 2 years. He went to an 0-10 team and brought them to the playoffs and a GA team in the same boat and did the same thing with them. He doesn't run tight ends and makes his QB always roll out which is a good thing for Heritage b/c there Qb runs a 4.6 or maybe lower now and he loves to run.

Blount County football should be more exciting this year then it ever has. With Heritage having a great new coach it should make games a lot more closer around here. Heritage has a lot of returning tallent with there running backs coming back along with most of there line and linebackers have been filled in nicely. William Blount should easily make it to the playoffs with Walker and Osbourne making big plays. Alcoa will make a huge run this year with all there players a year older and experience. The lack of depth is a problem but no doubt will they make a run with Lindsey running the ball and Martin White is a load on the line, Fiegler is always a dangerous threat in passing the ball, and Warren can knock the heck out of you and catch anything that comes around his way. Maryville will be loaded like they usually are i grew up with everyone on that team i know how good they are. Antonio and Tallent will be a great one two combination in the backfield, the o-line will bring back some good players but this will be the only year for there o-line to be really be anything great except Gary Tucker. There linebackers are all young which could be a problem, defensive backs is covered with Andrew Clemente which is one of the most underrated players in the county. Blount County football should be awesome this year. There would be no suprise to me though if there isnt a upset like Heritage beating William Blount or Alcoa and maybe William Blount taking out Maryville. Give me your posts on your teams.

Josh Seaney was a transfer last year from Mississippi. He runs a 4.4. against McMinn Co Heritage lost 21-34 with him scoring all 3 touchdowns including a 99 yd kickoff return and followed that week with being player of the week in Blount County against Bradley Central

Maryville doesn't have much more talent than HHS does. I know this for a fact I have played with Maryville all my life ive practiced and played games with them. They just got there mind right, If Heritage can go out there and know there gonna win they will win some games. I have a lot of respect for Maryville but no one needs to get on here and say Heritage has no talent.
