Last time I looked, there are no substate MVP's. Cyclones win because of a team effort, not just one player. Middle school players and records mean nothing if the players don't develop after middle school. Players most of the time make the program. Its good when you have a coach who knows what he is doing. But the good teams have players whose parents, AAU coaches, and other people who know basketball help develop the players, not just the coach. Coach17 is a good coach, but its easy to coach good players.

I agree. We seem to be hitting on all cylinders at the right time. Everybody is contributing in each of their own way. Very good win last night. Hard to beat a team 3 times, especially Unicoi(and 2 times in their own back yard), in one year. Third straight year in Region Finals. Would be nice to repeat as champs. Remember, we are the defending Champions of Region 1.

Way to go Lady Cyclones, two in a row. Entire team played great. Keep up the intensity for the region tournament and take one game at a time. Congrats to Baughman for second straight MVP; Redd, Crapps, and Pietrowski for making the all tournament team.

Good point Devilfan11, but when healthy, Baughman is a totally different player. She's one of the best. Does a little of everything. Check her prospect page. She had a badly sprained ankle for the whole tournament. She hurt it in practice a couple of days before the tourney. As for Redd, your guess is as good as mine.

Congratulations go to Rikki Baughman of Elizabethton who scored her 1500th point vs. Hampton on Friday night. She is also close to posting her 1000th rebound. Way to go.
