  1. The missing midfielder is Stephen Brocato. He got hurt, im not sure what happened, but they are definitely missing him. his fellow senior and center midfielder, J.P. Bratcher, used to play that position with him and they definitely would dominate the mid but Bratcher moved and Brocato is hurt so im guessing they are struggling there.
  2. I was meaning that McMinn would win fairly easily because Cleveland had several people missing, three of those people being starters or varsity players on the 2001 and 2002 CHS teams. First off, Stephen Brocato, is the only one actually on the team this year and he got injured and cant hold down the midfield for the Raiders. Second there is Jared Mcalpin, a starter as a freshman on the 2001 team and sophomore starter on the 2002 team, did not come out this season because he injured his foot last season and needed surgery. Third there is J.P. Bratcher who started as a freshman on the 2001 team and as a sophomore on the 2002 team. He is not playing this year because he moved. With those three seniors playing and working together with David Reaves, the game would definitely have been different.
  3. I agree with Dukefan that Criss cant carry the Owls by himself and if the Owls dont come out together and Cleveland is clicking, then Cleveland will come through with the victory.
  4. Captain Commando if you only knew what you were talking about. Everything I said in that post was absolutely correct. I know everything about the 2001 and 2002 District Finals between McMinn and Cleveland. Im not going to argue though, I figured McMinn would most likely win that game due to missing players from injuries and other reasons.
  5. I played soccer with Criss Golden for a couple of years and he does have good skills but I dont know if he can carry Ooltewah by himself. Cleveland is missing their Senior centermidfielder and if they had all of their would be seniors plaing Cleveland would most likely win.
  6. What i was referring to wasnt the seniors of the 2001 and 2002 years but i was referring to two of the freshmen, who were starters on the region champs 2001 and district champs 2002 teams. If they had those two guys and then another guy would be senior this year who switched to Cleveland after 2002. Thats all i was meaning.
  7. This game has come down to the wire two out of the last three years but i think this year McMinn should have pull out with the win this time unlike 2001 and 2002 when Cleveland won three times against McMinn. If Cleveland had all of its potential players for this season then i think Cleveland would have a shot at pulling through with a victory like in 2001 and 2002. Those two years have been some of the most well fought, closest and most exciting high school games in a long time. Good luck to both McMinn and Cleveland.
  8. If Cleveland had all their potential players, between injuries and players moving, then they would be a much stronger force in a larger area.
  9. I think Cleveland would be one of the top teams in the area, but they have suffered some injuries and lost some of their would be seniors this year.
  10. Yeah it can i just didnt put any.. go ahead
  11. For top teams in East Tennesse i think one would have to include the usuals such as Baylor, McCallie, and McMinn. Im hesitant to put Cleveland because last year and this year they have lost some key players from their 2001 and 2002 teams.
  12. The strength of most of the TN college soccer programs is consistent from year to year but every once in a while there can be some major changes. Lee University used to be a very strong team for many years but lately have declined the past two years. The reason is that the backbone of the program, the coach, left the school and is now somewhere else coaching. It will be a long time until Lee U ever gets back to where their previous coach took them.
