Congrats to CR on your win today.......thought Forrest came out really strong and was going to stay on CR's heels....you just can't get down to a team of this caliber and come back......Beth got herself into foul trouble and sat some of the first and all of the second and Forrest was still giving CR fits...only down by 5 at the half, thought we were going to pull it togehter!!!! Summer played a whale of a game and if our guards had hit some threes ( Reed got hot for CR on threes ) Anyway hats off to Summer, Bequi, Megan, Thea, Amanda and Haley our Seniors who helped to bring Forrest back to the big dance for the 4th time...you ladies are an inspiration to our youngsters!!!! Best wishes to you classy ladies as you graduate..........Thanks for your 29-4 season!!!!.....and for the rest of you, we are reloading with plenty of talent to be right back here next year....Can't wait !!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't think any of these teams need our help.....they all did an Awesome job to make it this far.... we can jabber back and forth all we want but it doesn't serve any real purpose.....other than entertainment value. Just feeling real proud of my team, like the rest of you......and I will be supporting them to the best of my ability and if I didn't feel we were gonna win tomorrow....shame on me. And like the rest of you, I REALLY don't know how it's gonna turn out, but it takes talent, heart, belief in yourselves and a little luck.............and Forrest has every one of those qualities, same as CR does. Forrest and Cornersville used to play each other and had a GREAT district and county rivalry, then the whole re-district thing came in and seems like they drew a line right through Marshall County......we went north and east and Cornersville went south and west...oh well,,,, as leadfarmer says we don't make the rules or the schedules.......does seem odd though /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Oh dang it I was going to try and keep my mouth shut on this one ( Yeah right? /tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> ) but if you are going to have a "blind draw" then why should it be okay to make sure teams from the same District are in opposite brackets re: CR and Pickett ????? Shouldn't they have to take the same chance as everyone else?? If they get picked to play each other ....oh well...... it's a blind draw??? Forrest and Cornersville are from the same County but different Regions but still support each other and could have had a first round game against each other???? It just seems right if it's truly unbiased shouldn't matter if you are from the same District or not.....again a blind draw should be just that and this was not.

Both Coach Jean and Coach Landers have done a wonderful job all year long in preparing these 2 teams....I gotta listen to their comments!!!!!

I know, I hated to miss that game .........Ayla was playing in the TJCCAA state finals way down in Cleveland Tn.............heard it was a WILD one fan wise !!! I believe we will pay per session cause with the games so close time wise I don't think they could empty the Murphy Center between games. Coach Jean has done a wonderful job with these ladies....he is new and young and the Forrest faithful have enjoyed watching him take this team all the way to Elite 8.........I also know that the coach (Lamar Rogers?) from CR has been around since before time and he is very very good and very very experienced, ought to be an interesting aspect of the game NeWbLuE! GO LADY ROCKETS!!!!!!

The 3 finalists this year are : Lashay Davis, Upperman......... Chassidy Fussell, Obion County........... Lauren March, Marshall County. I hope Lauren gets it, she is very deserving....Good Luck Lauren!!!!!!

Again just an opinion...I have seen all three of these ladies play and how important "all three" are to their teams, which I think is a criteria for Miss Basketball....Hobson, who plays for McEwen is a very talented player, the same as Leonard is for her team, it would just seem to make sense that Christopher, would be the logical choice, being a Senior, helping to get her team to State (although being at State doesn't matter I don't think) anyway........all of these ladies are impressive on the floor......Congrats on the nomination!!!!

Sounds like CR has no faults.......but remember there is only 1 perfect being and it's not CR.......as they say "We shall see!"

Wonder how CR will react if there is pressure and a close game.....the year Forrest won the Gold Ball....... maybe they weren't as DOMINANT as CR but they beat RBS, Madison Acad Magnet and JC by a TOTAL of 6 points over the 3 games....now THAT is playing ball!!!!

I know very well CR won't overlook us or anyone else....but I also know these ladies from CR have sooooo much pressure on them because of the year they have had, it's a testament to their coaching that they are so grounded. The same as our girls when they found out they were playing CR first round.....they just said " Let's get to work".......it appears the kids are better prepared then the parents........GO LADY ROCKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forrest fans aren't the ones who are making it a "David and Goliath" matchup either, everyone else is, heck they've said to just ship the Gold Ball to CR...but as I said the Lady Rockets will go out on the floor on Wed and play their hearts out, and the Lady Rocket faithful will be there in huge numbers to cheer them on....gotta love our Coach.... as he said in the paper....doesn't matter to him if we play CR on Wed. or Sat......... it's one game and you gotta win 3 to win the Gold Ball!

Okay. okay CR is AMAZING, CR is INCREDIBLE, CR is UNBELIEVABLE, CR is UNBEATABLE, for goodness sakes, they have beaten all their opponents by VAST margins.....Forrest isn't blind or deaf and I know they have heard all the ACCOLADES of this utterly UNSTOPPABLE CR team and how 7A is soooooo much better than everybody else...but our ladies will do the same as CR on Wednesday and come out on the floor and be PROUD of who they are and play their hearts out.....and as usual win or lose with class...... as a Lady Rocket supporter I will try to be as classy as my team is, I AM SO proud of the Lady Rockets!!!!!! Don't know much about Hampton, but I do know Cornersville and the teams they play, cause we have played some of the same teams.......Cornersville will give Hampton every thing they can handle and more, I am so proud of Cornersville for making the Elite 8......Go Lady Dawgs and Lady Rockets!!!!!!!! Marshall County teams ROCK!!!!!!!!

Yes, ya gotta love a "blind draw", the Lady Rockets got the one opponent every other team was praying not to get.......I say it has just fallen to the Lady Rockets to make every team happy and knock out Crange in the first round!!!!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Clarkrange is an incredible team and have been since game 1 this year....no one will deny that, but history is history and we need to look forward to Wed's game. As a previous poster said, Forrest historically, (didn't I just say history is history lol) builds all year and comes into tourney time focused and hungrey....I was hoping to see this match-up (well not THIS particular one /blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":blush:" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> ) more like us and Cornersville for the Gold Ball... I truly believe we have the weapons to make this happen, Hawn and Waggoner are 2 of the very best in the State, Porter has been everywhere she needs to be and playing incredible....Bussell and Ledbetter take care of the ball, shoot the three and assist like they have to and then there is the bench!!!!!.....now before yall get going..... I know how good CR is, and I know they are experienced, I know they have been there before..... but so have we........and the bullseye is on CR's back this time........... as a previous poster said, better lace up those sneakers tight....... cause we're fixin' to knock you outta them!!!!
