The Overton Ridgeway game was really a good game.
THE HOSITALITY ROOM was second only to our own which I must say is generally great.
I plan to make a couple of trips tonight.
I know you mean Hospitality room but I read that and thought you said Hostility Room /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />

Good grief.
It's all bad enough but what the wife of the one coach did to that girl is beyond my comprehension.

Jasmine has been a pure joy to watch these past 4 years. I wish her the very, very best when she begins her college career at Georgia.
One of the All-Time Panther greats

In a freshmen game on thursday night, guard Jeff Dockett ( part of a very talented freshmen class at Bartlett) scored a triple-double with 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 steals. I've only seen a triple-double in person once before at any level. Congrats to this young man on this achievement. Best wishes to him as he grows as a player and person.

One problem I would have with a shot clock is quite frankly having to find ( and pay) someone trustworthy and consistent enough to do it. It's hard enough at times with the clock-operator and scoreboard positions as it is. Can you imagine the chaos of of having someone not paying attention with the re-set button? I've kept a shot clock for D-2 college games and you really have to be on top of it. Did the ball touch the rim? Did a team "have or lose possession" off a contested rebound ? Lose balls and what constitutes having "control" of a loose ball? Sometimes resetting the shot comes down to a judgement call. I'd be against it if for nothing more than it would be a pain.
It all just seems like it would be a bit more trouble than it's worth for something so minor.

Man, those R-E/CHS games are always crazy. Had to be fun to watch though ( depending on who you cheer for and refs aside)

That was a good game. It was close from the first to the fourth quarter. Like Coach Gat said, it could have gone either way. But it shouldn't have even been close. If Bartlett is really the #2 team in this area, it should have beaten Millington especially with Olivia and Latesa out.
Hey Du give floorburns his props. He or maybe she called it man.
Why? What did he proof? /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
( I kid, I kid)
Great game. Those games are always a blast.

I'll bump this. I'm sure DragonMaster can shed some light on the subject.

Sometimes you see a post that poses a mystery. Becasue millington was eventually involved, this one bordered on mysterious. As you already knoiw the Millington Melrose game was close, 1 point until the end. According to Coach Newman at Melrose, the Overton/Melrose game was 55-37. That got them to Millington.
Well shoot. Love a good mystery but I was hoping for Scooby Doo and the Mystery Machine

I have no knowledge of the events in question and, yes, nbush has every right to say what was said and there was nothing vulgar or threatening in it. Just the same, that sort of thing could be best handled in a PM rather than starting a whole thread.

Graves Co. has the biggest gym I have ever seen in my life. ( for high school ball). It's literally almost half the school

Bartlett will be 1 of the last teams in this district. Manassas was without Buckner and Anthony Dorsey both starting bigs and stll won by 18pts. if buckner played Manassas would have won by 40pts. Manassas really didnt look great 2day but still won by 18.
I believe it was 14 in the end and the game was closer than that most of the way. I could be wrong on the final but I was only keeping stats for Bartlett so I wasn't paying much attention. I still don't think Bartlett will be among the last teams in 14-AAA. We'll just have to agree to disagree on that point.
Is Buckner ok? Hope he's healthy for the season.

I saw Bartlett scrimmage Collierville saturday. First off, Collierville looked very unathletic and really didn't know much of what was going on. I will say that both teams scrimmaged with freshman first, then jv, then last with the varsity. Bartlett dominated in all three. I will have to figure out the young man's name, but Barltett has a freshman from Shadowlawn Middle School that starts on the Varsity Team. He is the best Bartlett has seen since Jonathan Loe!!! Great things to come for the Panthers!!!!
That young man's name is Anthlon Bell. He will be a lot of fun to watch.
Keeping in mind this was a scrimmage and nobody was showing all their cards so to speak. The freshman were fantastic but they still have a lot of work to do. This is a very talented class. JV is always in flux with guys coming up from Freshman and coming down from Varsity but they played great saturday as well. I wouldn't exactly say they dominated the varsity game, at least not all of it. It was, though, a very solid win for a young bunch of players. The Panthers had a great start and kept playing hard. The guys did an excellent job of closing out the game and I was impressed with how everyone kept their composure when Collierville cut it to 5 late in the game. Last year, that's a game situation where Bartlett likely lost. This is a new year. A new start. I know all the coaches are very excited about the season.

We recently launched our site at Bartlett. Still some work to be done but I hope ya'll like it.

UT might need to borrow some of his money to find Fulmers replacement/
Shoot, I wish someone would offer me 6 million dollars over a 48 month period to go away. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
Bias Officials

Granted in some cases, like JV games, you need any official you can get. Although I can recall one game (JV) I witnessed this season where there were 2 officials on the floor : One was an assistant principle of the host school and the other was the parent of a player on the host school's team.
That made for a fun night /popcorneater.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":popcorneater:" border="0" alt="popcorneater.gif" />
In regards to your question, I had always thought the TSSAA didn't allow people to officiate games at schools they attended themselves but sometimes you take what you can get I suppose.
