  1. This is starting to be really funny. I know what college coaches look for in a player. No, AAU does not make or break a player. But you play against the best girls around. You just don't make any sense. You seriously can't say that I am right. But I don't need you to tell me that because I know that MANY people agree with me on this one. Also, I don't have a daughter. But thanks for asking becasue there is one on the way!!
  2. Wizardofwood. If you only knew my friend. I have played AAU. Like Showtime said, you don't just go play. Have you ever been to AAU Nationals?? Probably not. Evidently you really love Sam Bilyeu. Don't see how. But you do. You also don't know anything about basketball. Don't start talking about middle school TNT tournaments and state tournament in highschool. Two totally different things. I am truly upset that Sam Bilyeu didn't get the job, as you can tell!!! HA! But we will just have to go on, as hard as it may be.
  3. Oh goodness. Let's see. Where shall I begin?? Yes, you do have good talent. Look at highschool teams. How many good players do you think there is on a team? Let me rephrase that. How many excellent players are on a highschool team. NOT MANY!!! If you are lucky, two. You always have a highschool team with one or two great players and the rest are good. And yes, I believe that one player can take a team as far as they can, even if that means taking them to state. Seen it done. So don't tell me that he hasn't had talent because I know. Oh and the comment about getting out in the driveway, sneaking in a gym. The ONLY players that do that are players with HEART. As far as AAU goes, if you are good and people have seen you, you will be on an awesome team, with an awesome coach. Wizardofwood, you are right, if you are on a good AAU team, you will learn. But everything else you have said, isn't real smart.
  4. Bigdave25, I would like to know the AAU stars and what team they were on. And like I said before, if you have good talent you will be good. Another thing, you can't coach heart and hard work. I know that many of those girls wouldn't have stayed if he was the coach. But I'm sure he wouldn't have cared because he would have found a way to win. Right??
  5. Honestly, the reason why Sam Bilyeu has been so successful in the past years is because he has had good talent. When he hasn't had good players, what have they done? Yeah, I could be a good coach if I played a very weak schedule too. Someone said that Coach Bilyeu wants his kids to work hard. Evidently not hard enough because he was always against playing AAU. Thats where kids learn most of what they know. And thats how they become good players. Working hard, when everyone else isn't.
  6. Powell is going to be tough to beat this year. With two dominating pitchers, Heather Broyles and Sarah Sutphin the ladies will go far. The whole squad can knock the cover off the ball, with leaders Sutphin, Sam Kooch, and Brittany Gloyd. Not to mention the tenacious D with Josie Morris at second and Freshman stand out Sarah Meyers at short. Be afraid, very afraid because the Panthers are on the prowl.
  7. Wilson Central Dog that was way below the belt......
