Lifer, you are a bully, picking on kickers. Did we ever coach together and did you pick on me. You had a good career in Metro , didn't you. Would you like to coach again, I'm going to need some help soon.

Some teams play with alot of heart, but how many are just front runners that play hard when the game is close. Alot of teams quit not only games, but on the season when things don't go well. When if ever should a coach decide to go with younger players or continue to play the seniors, when the season is lost? Lifer ,respond to this , please. I know you have an opinion.

I agree. Coaching is not a one man job. Hillsboro has 3 assistants, 2 with prior head-coaching experience and 1 with college experience. The key is they all work as one. I agree about some being nothing but a sponsor.

Let's talk football then. What Metro teams are well-coached and play with alot of heart. Any under-achievers. Any over-achievers?

I believe that you just said that you can't really teach and coach in Metro, that is why you must be in Sumner Co. That is what is being said by Metro coaches. It is alot to coaching in Metro that you don't have to deal with as much.

Gripper- griper what is the difference, you know where I went to school. How do you know I don't do both. I still want Lilal to tell us where we need to improve. Also, I'll be disappointed if he does not apply for the next opening in Metro.

Lilal is just frustrated that he can't coach in Metro so he could prove to us lazy coaches that he would make a difference. I just wish he would let us know how we could do a better job.

Phil is retired, although might coach again. Jimmy is in Iraq with the guard or back home, not sure. You did not tell me what you are doing.

Coach Pope retired, grandson plays at H.L. , is a senior. Peden is at Ryan. Phil Bowen is at C.P.A. assistant principal. Brown semi-retired, Spears is the same, deserves another chance, and Moreno is at H.L. What are you doing?

Until you have been there, there is know way you know what it is like. We don't even sometimes know everything about our closest friends. I've been surprized.

Lilal, Are you saying that there is no difference in metro kids and kids from outside counties. There is a big difference in demographics and the way schools are being run. County schools are very similiar to private schools in Nashville. I don't see alot of county coaches trying to coach in Metro. Better pay in Nashville, better athletic talent and still no applicants. What do you think?

Are you saying that coaching in metro schools can be difficult. You mean all of the kids are not hardworking and self-disciplined.

Why? So anyone can change colors if they want , including non-coaches. What was their thinking( scary word) . Green and White , like they should be.
