I think (and only my opinion) that Ravenwood deserves the 2nd seed because of their strong performance this year... undefeated. I don't go to Ravenwood, but I have seen them play and I've seen Franklin play. Ravenwood is a better team. Comments on the rest of the district: 1) Brentwood should win the district and region, but they will not win state. 2) This district is clearly the most competitive in the state of TN. 3) Someone (or more than one) will get left out of the regional tournament that deserves to be there. 4) With the addition of Independence (who showed a strong performance this year!) to the district, 11 AAA is fun to follow and great teams like Brentwood, Ravenwood, Centennial, Franklin and Independence should be proud to be apart of such a competitive atmosphere. 5) Does anyone know if the Williamson County "half" of the district will break-off from the others (Hickman Co, Overton, Hillwood, Hillsboro?) 6) Does Brentwood have a chance to have such a good team next year... I heard they are graduating most of their best players.

BA has had a really really hard schedule this year. I give them credit for playing many of the great teams in the state. Also, if you loook at Independence's schedule, they have lost to some of the great teams also! Most of those games by only 1 goal. I wouldn't write off Independence as being able to beat BA... I think they might be able to. With that said, I wouldn't "bet my house on it."

I saw that Page lost their last 2 games (v. Zion and v. Fairview). Anyone know what's going on with them this year? NEW WILLIAMSON CO. RANKINGS 1) Brentwood (lost to Hendersonville) 2) BGA (I think2nd place might be overrating them, but we'll see) 3) Ravenwood (10-0-4 record, undefeated still) 4) Franklin (starting to improve after a slow start) 5) Cetennial (this Fri they play IHS, should be agood game) 6) Independence (5-5-0, young but good) 7) BA (don't know much) 8) Page & Fairview (tie, because they have played twice and split 1/1) I switched some teams around... ?? Your comments, thoughts ??

I agree with your rankings, except for one issue-- independence is clearly the best team between page, fairview and ihs. ihs killed page 5-2 and fairview isn't even close... fairview forfeited to ihs because they didn't have enough players. Ravenwood v. Indepdence Wow what a great game! Ravenwood won 4-3, but I was really impressed by the freshman and sophomores of Independence. They led 2-0 twenty minutes into the game and at half time the score was 3-2, Independence with the lead. Ravenwood responded well and picked up their game in the second half and pulled out the win. Ravenwood's defense was solid in the second half. Both teams looked good. Did anyone else get to see the game?

How is Ravenwood this year? I saw that they won 4 games before their Spring break-- sounds like they have a good team.

Brentwood dominated Spring Hill 10-0. Ravenwood sqeaked by an impressive Independence team 1-0. Franklin defeated Hillsboro (not sure the final score). Anyone catch the Centennial game? I couldn't make it to ALL the games

I would agree with "peterw". Tara Mahan at Independence High is going to be a good player. I've seen her play.

Fairview OK, so I know some people might not agree with Centennial and Brentwood being tied for 1st, after Brentwood beat them 1-0, but I still see Centennial as a better team. BGA is on a slippery slope and has not improved throughout the season. Franklin needs to rebound at the end of the season or they might not make it out of the district tournament. Brentwood Acad is doing well in the 2nd half of the season and I think will finish strong. Independence and Ravenwood will play next week and we will see who can come out victorious. Page and Fairview are rebuilding this year and are not showing anything spectacular. What do you think????

I was wondering how David Lipscomb was doing this year. I haven't heard much about them... Are they any good? Who have they played and what were the scores? Thanks...

OK, I know many players will want to just put their own coach's name on this list, but I am really interested in the BEST coaches in Middle Tenn. Who do you think (and why) are the best coaches? Please, please, please don't just list your coach. Please be objective and honest as possible. Thanks

Anyone know what Fairview's record is? I don't think anyone reports their games to COACHT.COM or SOCCERINFO.COM I thought they were going to play Zion last week but I haven't seen a score...

I've been able to catch a few games of each of these teams, and yes, from what I've seen I think that Independence (although young, with freshmen and sophomores) is better than Ravenwood. Don't get me wrong, I know Independence is not at the level of Franklin this year, but as a whole I think they have a bright future ahead of them. Independence's coach has done a nice job with the girls and they seem to be well disciplined. This might be a controversial statement (but I'll say it anyway)... I think the future of public school soccer in Williamson County rests with these two programs (Ravenwood and Independence). Franklin and Brentwood will always be strong teams (so will the private schools), but RHS and IHS will emerge as power teams. I noticed on soccerinfo.com that IHS and RHS play each other toward the end of September. I guess we will find out then.
