  1. OC's freshman SHOULD always beat UC's freshman when they pick and choose what years they will or won't play them.
  2. We gotta get used to beatin freshmen and sophomores or we might expect too much out of OC.
  3. Union City is a young team with a lot of fight in them. It will be close when it comes to the 4th quarter. It's going to depend on how deep Milan can go into its 2nd and 3rd string to wear down the Tornadoes. This will be a good one to watch.
  4. If any Johnson City Hilltopper is on this reply and i'll get back to you i have a message for a player.
  5. Both have good teams, both have always been too cocky, both need to get over it and start talkin after ya'll play. Both are guilty.
  6. Chatanooga, are you gonna make it to the game?
  7. Do any teams go out of state to play games, if so, where and what kind of competition is there? I remember a few years ago Union City played a Paducha Tillman in Week 0 in a very competitive game.
  8. I always enjoy OC's clean pranks, spray painting on our field house, using round-up to put the Dixie flag next to the male gentalia on our field....
  9. Union City's JV team is very hot right now....wait we don't have one...
  10. Both teams have tough region opponents the previous week (UC with Milan and OC and Covingtion) and may be a little banged up. These outcome of the next two weeks will play a big deciding factor in this game. Both teams are ABOUT even right now with the slight edge to Union City with a victory under their belt. The team that improves the most during practice and grows up in the games will have a distinct advantage come gametime. Union City's defense is better with OC's offense performing better. A big factor could be UC's special teams, with two kickoff returns in their first three games. My vote goes towards.... UC- 24 OC-20
  11. How big is he really, we have a fairly big guy on our team too.
  12. Who is William Blount, what school does he play for, and how big is he listed in the book?
  13. At least ya'll will win two games agains the other two teams ending with county. thumb Have fun with covington, we'll take whatever is left after ya'll play them.
  14. Usually, Sat night at 7 PM there is a game. Week 0 had JCM vs. UC, Week 1 had Ballard Memorial vs. South Fulton, Week 2 had the Cardinals game. I'm lost, and i wish they would play Union City games. Even if they can't do that, play ANY high school. The Cardinals are already on 3 different channels most of the time and they're just adding a fuzzy fourth. I wish they could hear this.
  15. Who is the team riding last year's success needing a reality check?
  16. A lot of Union City players get on Coach T just to learn where they stand in the eyes of the public. Come Sept. 24, Union City will be FAR beyond tired of hearing all the criticism and the "What Happened to Union City" comments. These comments will just drive Union City straight through OC and the division into the playoffs. This is a very young, yet sneaky team who might pull up some upsets in their division and into the playoffs. So, be my guest, help us out and respond.
  17. After the first week of regional play, which district 7-2A teams will make the playoffs and who's getting the home-field advantage? Who's going to be left out in the cold?
  18. I agree with Rebfan. It's tough for starters to go in and play every play of offense and defense for 4 quarters. Union City has that problem too with only a little above 30 players dressing out this year. I understand that OC is in the 30's as well.
  19. Has JCM improved on its punt returning? They looked very shaky in that category against Union City.
  20. JCM is very talented. They have plenty of seniors and experienced players. They are fast and physical. I would have to say they are one of the top notch teams in anyclassification in West Ten..
  21. At least we had a shot at winning last week...
  22. I don't know much about milan, but westview's defense is very quick. How is milan looking?
  23. UC plays up because they expect more out of themselves. To be the man you have to beat the man. In this case, they haven't been beating the man lately, but the young kids are getting experience against top notch football powerhouses. It is far better to play bigger schools and be close, then play smaller schools and dominate. I don't want to point fingers but look at OC's schedule. They are supposed to be in their prime right now beating UC recently and are "the team" in Obion County. How many non-district games to they play above 3-A? Ok. How many non-district games to they play on the 3-A level? hmmm My math isn't great but im still on 0. I give them props for playing down and winning...maybe...
  24. I don't have much to say, but I would like to mention all the trash written at the bottom of your posts. "Fear the Veer" Why should anyone fear the veer? It sure didn't work against Mckenzie. UC will fear the veer when OC doesn't fumble the ball 9 times. Maybe i should add a UC one of my own...."Cower to the Power" "We run trap!" "Veer works for us too!" I'd bet UC's options work a lot better come September 24 when the Rebels go to War Memorial Stadium. Another question are the Rebels dead yet? Is it going to be Obion County Central Black Knights or another mascot. I just heard rumors.
