There might be a small "bump" next year, but as long as the kids in 9th, 8th, and 7th grades stick with it, MHS football is going to be just fine.

LaDue would have been the feature back on pretty much any other team in Tennessee. He just had Vaughn in front of him.

A big factor is going to be quarterback play and if the Maryville QB1 goes out with deer in the headlights look or not.

This Maryville team has improved the last month or so. Enough? We'll find out.

1. That's the first time all year I could feel a Maryville attitude from the team.

2. QB1 played well. The deep ball he threw was a beauty and the QB just played it perfectly. The scramble and pass the 4 wouldn't have everaterialized 3 weeks ago.

3. Ladue is a monster.

4. That team put 61 on William Blount....  

Part of me thinks that this team doesn't think it can compete for a state title and it has affected them. That's purely a guess based on a gut feeling.

My 2 cents - 

We were all hoping QB1 would get better and better as the season progressed. He hasn't.

I think lack of faith in him is affecting the rest of the team. That's a guess, but an educated one.

I'm not sure what the solution is on those.

I hate a 3 man rush in general, but would love to hear the reasons for running it this year. I can usually at least make sense of it even if I don't agree, but I cannot this year.

The streak was going to eventually end. We all knew it would. That it went on as long as it did is amazing.

Hold out for these 8th and 7th graders to become contributors. If they all stick it out it'll be fun.

They are still in control of their own playoff destiny. I wouldn't be making different Thanksgiving morning plans quite yet.

If I am up there I will. I just thought with all the hype up to it that it would be great. Just wasn't impressed at all.

I must've had it on a really bad day, because I wasn't impressed with Ridgewood at all.

Got to say, a 6 minute drive with exactly 5 total offensive yards is one of the most impressive things I've seen on a football field.

WB might be the worst 6A team in the state. I hope they can change that, but right now it's the reality.

BTW ….. there are a couple of posters in this thread that haven’t a clue what they are talking about. Sometimes the information you get from the Hardee’s morning crew should be fact checked
