I'm laughing at Elder, Stinnett or Simerly being raging liberals.
They've got kids in Maryville football programs from senior to 7 year old.
-
Can we get this game moved to a 3:30 kickoff? I'd like to be able to attend both.

Question to the Maryville fans.... Is it a concern that Farragut scored a lot of points last week? Or does that not really matter, Maryville won in the end and that's that... Or is Farragut better than we all thought?
They only scored 14 versus the starters. There were a couple of late TDs against the twos.
But yes, Maryville D is concerning this week.

Buddy you definitely don’t want it lol. You do a lot of threatening on a public high school football forum. Quite embarrassing considering the last time you were in high school JFK was probably president.
I can say with zero hesitation thay Greyrider would say everything he says on here in person and then walk the walk behind it.

At some point I'll understand rushing 3 all night when you know your weak link is the secondary, but it's not today. I just don't get it.

Downfield passing game still needs to improve. Got to hit some of those. Offense still looks glitchy.
Vaughn is a beast.
Sounds like Ladue is going to be fine.
Still confused as to how a pass thrown backwards and doesn't make it to line isn't a fumble or intentional grounding.
11 and 13 for Powell are both players.
-
Honestly may try to come over just to see him in person. Kickoff 7 or 730?
-
Few random thoughts.
1. Looked like same ol same ol to me.
2. Maryville passing game needs work. Clemmer needs to forget what he's learned for 3 years.
3. Ladue is a machine.
4. I hope Vaughn in ok.
5. Was impressed the heritage qb got up in one piece after the hit manager laid on him.
6. Always nice to know you've got a kid with nearly 50 yard range if needed.
7. 82 for Heritage can scoot.
8. Always good when a senior gets some paydirt.
9. Really love seeing all the kids running around in their youth jerseys.
10. Powell may no longer have the greatest football coach ever on staff, but it'll be a nice jump in competition next week

I just find it interesting if he was so brilliant, why other colleges or even high schools were not fighting for him.
I'm not saying it's not a decent offense, however, it was in place in the JUCO level. It will not work everywhere, at every school, with every quarterback and in this case, with Heritage's defense.
If you look at his stint at UT and dig into it, he was behind a desk and only moved to the field for a short time before Pruitt's departure.
Look, I'm an old guy, I get it that things have changed, and I understand the game has evolved, but the basis is still the same. You can slap a pretty bow on something, walk around with your chest poked out claiming this and that, but, if you aren't realistic, once the smoke recedes and the dust settles, you're in trouble. I truly worry about these kids.
And from what I've heard, some have already hung up their cleats.
Like I said, language AND faults................
-
Language and other faults aside, Osovet was a brilliant offensive guy before he was at UT. I'm very intrigued if he can do anything out there.

Welcome to the 'T, but I can't see Lexington on top of the region. Hardin Co. has some burners, and the QB is accurate...if the receivers can avoid the dropsies enough to keep the DB's honest for the running game to click, the region is theirs to give away. I'd put Chester Co. in at #2 for now, DJ knows Lexington inside out and backward...personnel and playbook. Their head to head probably decides the spot, and the Eagles will be ready.
I'm very excited DJ got a head coach gig. I wish him nothing but the best down there.
-
I kinda hope he runs the Emory and Henry some more.
The new receiver for Maryville is quick as a cat. Mercy he can run.
-
I, for one, appreciated the Emory and Henry to open up the game on offense.
-
Huh.
Almost like some high ranking local government person is an Eagleton guy.
-
I'm actually somewhat intrigued if Coach O can run any type of an RPO like he ran in JUCO. It's a mad scientist experiment out there that I am interested in. I can tell you this is the most excited I've seen my Heritage friends over football in a while. That's a good thing.

I'm sure Covington would like a few words as well!
For whatever reason, in my head, I've always grouped them with Memphis, but yes, they've got a good history as well.

Lake Co and Peabody are ify IMO.
Lexington, Bruceton, JCM, Haywood, and North Side would like a word in this conversation.

Hope he does well, but I'd pleasantly be surprised.
Same.

Things that can all be true at once.
1. Someone is a nice person.
2. Someone has a passion for something.
3. I can still not like what that someone does.

Eagleton is going to hire Shad.
I thought this was just a joke. I'll be.

If the head football coach “ENCOURAGES” his players to participate in track & field, baseball or soccer you would have very few kids at Spring Practice. I have talked with multiple NFL players that all ran track and would change into their baseball uniform on the way to the game after the track meet. If we create strong and fast athletes everything will sort itself out in college. What we have in Tennessee is a turf war with the football and basketball coaches hoarding the best athletes in the school.
My son did middle school track this spring for the first time. Just amazing of what 3 months of that will do for the speed of a kid. I was shocked.

He tweeted something a day or two after he took the new job that gave me pause, primarily because it would fall in line of other things I've heard relating to the same thing.

As for the game itself.
I assume they will focus to shut down Vaughn. If they do, LaDue should have a field day. And he's perfectly capable of putting this offense on his back.
Still concerned about the secondary. I think the front 4 (please for the love go 4) can get to the QB, just not sure they can get there often enough.
