  1. The website preview for Polk County has been updated. I just got stats this morning and they are linked from the site. Here is the link. Thanks for using the site to promote the players and good luck to both teams. http://www.whitehousehigh.com/football/gm11center2007.html bdpweb
  2. Just an FYI... I have loaded six new photo galleries at the web site. I have every game this season loaded except for Pearl-Cohn and Beech, but there are some photos at the Tennessean of the Pearl-Cohn game. Go to http://www.whitehousehigh.com/football/photos/index.html for the galleries to Portland, Alcoa, Sycamore, Springfield, Macon County and DeKalb County along with photos of the 10-year reunion and the Homecoming parade and ceremonies. Thanks, bdpweb
  3. FYI... I have not updated the web site to reflect the Sycamore game. A link has been added to the home page for a audio of tonight's game. Just a reminder that I do not contro the audio, I just link to it. If there are issues, please contact the Blue Devil Network crew. I will have Sycamore and Pearl-Cohn games and complete stats updated this weekend. I have been out of town this week. Thanks and God bless, bdpweb
  4. Josh, I have loaded the Alcoa preview page. On there is the GameCenter link which will take you to the audio. I get a lot of emails, calls and messages about the audio but it's really out of my control. I just post the link and I can pass along the information if it's not working, but it's operated by the Blue Devil Network and jumps to an offsite link hosted by one of their crew. I hope they will have issues resolved. Until then, check out the site at http://www.whitehousehigh.com/football and go to http://www.whitehousehigh.com/football/gm2center2007.html for this week's game. - bdpweb
  5. White House High School Blue Devils http://www.whitehousehigh.com/football
  6. The White House site has been updated with Portland recap, stats and season stats. An Alcoa preview will be coming Monday and I don't yet have any photos but will soon. If anyone knows where I can get an official Alcoa roster and stats, let me know. Since they're out of region, it's not as easy. Thanks, bdpweb http://www.whitehousehigh.com/football
  7. Portland at White House August 31, 2007 Preview, rosters for both teams, rivalry history, photos, recaps, stats and more at the Gamecenter Page on White House's official site. http://www.whitehousehigh.com/football/gm1center2007.html Following the game, by Saturday morning, stats and recaps will be added to the same page. You may also listen to the game live on Friday night beginning at 7:30 p.m. by visiting the GameCenter page and clicking on the audio link. Sorry, no archive, live only. Thanks, enjoy the game. bdpweb
  8. According to the office at White House High School, the jamboree has again been cancelled for Friday night. No word if another makeup will be attempted or if this is the last try.
  9. As most White House fans know, we experienced a major crash this year of the computer used to store the online information for White House High School football. We have recovered that information and began site updates. The jamboree last night was postponed, so no updates yet. http://www.whitehousehigh.com/football You can now find on the site: 2007 varsity preview 2007 roster 2007 schedule varsity 2007 schedule freshmen 2007 middle school 2007 technology story 2007 Region 4-3A capsules 1997 reunion story 2007 middle school preview and schedule History updated through 2007 season GameCenter: Portland (preview coming Monday) If the jamboree is played, we will have stats, pictures and recaps this weekend. Otherwise, we will jump to game one. There are still a lot of parts of the site needed to be updated, so be patient. Pictures are coming for positions and team photos next week. Thanks to Coach T for allowing us to utilize this site to help our kids and our program. Come check out the site. No forums, just a lot of good information. Pastor K
  10. Thank you for the good comments. This site has went from an experiment four years ago to one of the most useful tools in our program. We're not too interested in flash and impression, we're interested in making sure that kids from both teams get a fair share of coverage without heavy bias, and we want to be sure that the information is precisely accurate and useful for local media, that it's not just a fan site for pleasure. It's a resource, the way we see it. And not just for the current season, we can extend the history of our program to thousands of people on a regular basis. Looking at our site numbers it's clear...while many of our parents, kids and community use the site, we get an incredible amount of hits and downloads from outside White House. That's when it becomes valuable...to the grandpa living in California who has no other connection to the program, or the former player stationed in Iraq who gets to check the net on an occasional basis. That's what it's all about. We're going to do our best to make it great again this year. Pastor K
  11. I am posting this information here because there are a number of former players and managers (and parents) who keep a check on this site. For more, check out http://www.whitehousehigh.com/football The White House Blue Devils will honor the 1997 Class 3-A State Championship team with a 10-year celebration and reunion as the current Blue Devils take the field Sept. 14, 2007, against the Springfield Yellow Jackets (week three). The football staff is currently attempting to locate all players and managers from 1997 team to begin making plans for this dynamic event. If you are a member of the 1997 team, you need to contact the following people, according to your class during the 1997 season: Seniors - Jonathan Finch Juniors - Josh Lanius, Daniel Gray and Amanda Baird Sophomores - Ryan Sherrill Freshmen - Brock Waggoner The address, email address and phone number is needed for the entire team and managers. If you need contact information for the above individuals, please call the field house and head coach Jeff Porter at (615) 672-6401. ------------------- Pastor K Team Chaplain/Media Information
  12. The 2007 season is about to get underway and we will begin making massive updates to the official White House football website in the next few weeks. During the offseason, I lost everything during a computer crash. The site was secure, I simply did not have the information available to update it. Dell did an awesome job of recovering the computer's stored memory and rebuilding the hard drive and motherboard, so the information has been recovered. I was only backed up through the end of the regular season last year. So, long story short, the site is just now being updated. The 2007 schedule has been posted and most of the history pages should be current. The rest will be done as the summer workouts and scrimmages progress. Previews of the season will be released on the day the local papers run them for the first time. I will not trump local media on season previews, they have first priority. Thanks and God bless, check us out soon at http://www.whitehousehigh.com/football Pastor Kris
  13. Some additional information. There have been 51 jerseys sold and we will update the list tonight around midnight. All the remaining blue jerseys will still be available. Coach Porter will be at the fieldhouse every weekday until 5 p.m., or you may also come by on Saturday, Dec. 16th, from 9-11 a.m. and he will be there with jerseys, first-come, first-serve. You must pay first. You cannot reserve numbers without payment. Thanks. If the blue sale continues to be successful, the whites will be released when at least 100 of the blues are sold.
  14. Good afternoon, The White House Quarterback Club is making Blue Devil football "blue" game jerseys available to the general public for the first time. Game jerseys cannot be purchased or sold through local sporting goods companies, so this is the only chance for fans to get this piece of the program. For more information and daily updates, check the team website at: http://www.whitehousehigh.com/football Thanks, bdpweb P.S. Danny Criss is up for the Nick Coutras Award tonight in Nashville and the team football banquet for White House is Saturday, Dec. 16th at WHHS. For more information, call the football office at (615) 672-6401.

    4-3a

The Official All-Region 4-3A Team will be released when the final team (Pearl-Cohn) is eliminated, or wins the state championship, whichever happens first. Just an FYI. bdpweb
  17. The White House website was updated yesterday with photos, recap and stats from the Notre Dame game and a preview of the Pearl-Cohn game, including a link to the first game. The photo gallery for the Notre Dame game is very large, so please give it time to load. You can access it at the gamecenter page. For each week's gamecenter page, you can go to schedule and click on the link for each game, or the most recent one will be linked from the main home page under the top heading. http://www.whitehousehigh.com/football Thanks for helping us utilize the site. bdpweb
  18. The team photographer for White House is a man named Drew Christenson and he works for one of the local media outlets called The Bargain Browser in White House. They produce a free local paper through their publication called The Connection, once per week, and White House football is one of the main things covered. The beat writer is named Luke Williams. If you would like to contact Drew for original photos, the telephone number to their office is (615) 672-0313. We use the photos by permission at lower resolution. He has been shooting for us for at least two years (maybe three?) and does an EXCELLENT job. bdpweb
  19. Sorry, I take for it for granted and usually don't post the link. I assume too much that everyone knows it. http://www.whitehousehigh.com/football Photo page can be linked to off the main menu to the left, or you can go to the schedule, click on individual games to go to the GameCenter page, respectively, and then select game photos from the GameCenter menus under the line score. It's easy to find when you get there. Some galleries are larger than others. bdpweb
  20. Photos from Station Camp and Greenbrier are now posted along with the updated recaps of the final two freshmen games. We should have live audio during the game for those who cannot make the trip.
  21. The White House preview for Notre Dame is up, along with the game recap of Greenbrier from last week. I had some problems with the site last week that delayed everything, so be patient. I'm working on loading the freshmen game recaps and the pics from Station Camp and Greenbrier as we speak. Should be there later tonight. http://www.whitehousehigh.com/football/gm11preview.html http://www.whitehousehigh.com/football/gm10center.html Thanks, good luck to both teams this week. bdpweb
  22. This game will be broadcast live over the internet by the Blue Devil Network at the following linked page, which will not be active until tomorrow...(and the audio link on it doesn't activate until the pre-game audio starts...) http://www.whitehousehigh.com/football/gm9center.html From there, you will see a link that indicates a click for live audio.
  23. With regions three and four matched up in the first round, the only possible way for the two region champions to play one another in the postseason is to win their first two games and meet in week 13 (quarterfinals). The bracket, not the records, would then determine the home team. In the semifinals, one representative from regions 3-3A and 4-3A will advance to play one representative from regions 1-3A and 2-3A, who are conversely matched up likewise in the first two rounds.
  24. The White House site is updated, the DeKalb photos are the only thing I lack and they will be there later tonight. bdpweb
  25. I appreciate the comments and compliments. In three-plus years, we have received almost 116,000 hits alone to the main site for football. That does not count a lot of immeasureable subhits to other places and links within parts of the site that go uncounted. Two things: - Always let me know if there are broken links. My email is there. - Encourage other teams to take a look. Especially to the pictures, stories and stats, we cover both teams, and if I may say in my opinion, we do it fairly and with class. Both sides deserve nothing less. Very soon, our Blue Devil Network may be working on some media stuff that might be available through the site, so keep checking. As for now, we have live audio and this year they have done a good job of improving its quality and availability. There are glitches and problems, not everywhere is equipped for that kind of thing and it's often done through a standard cell phone connection, so we appreciate your patience. Best of luck to the boys the rest of the way. bdpweb
