  1. Thanks Waco Being down in Myrtle Beach it is nice to get updates on DB football. I will be looking out for the thread.
  2. Well I have the right to talk about the football coaches, that is part of the team. I have never made a personal attack on any of your falcon fans. I talk football until someone takes shots at me, for no reason. Just because I have an opinion which last time I checked everyone was allowed to have an opinion. I have wished Volunteer good luck every week, I hope to see Volunteer get a win this season, I know it is heartbreaking for all the work the kids put in to lose every game. At least the kids have the heart to keep up their hard work every week, and it shows on the field by them improving each week.
  3. Also agree on posting of the scores. If anyone from Kingsport stays home and listens on the radio please help us out by posting the scores, and updates on big plays.
  4. Great post tu fueta, you are hammering the nail square on the head with your post! And another thing, threads wouldn't get locked like the Lamon Williams thread did if it wasn't for Volunteer fans being so mad about having a bad football team and would quit making personal attacks against people, This football board is for football talk, not personal attacks. Learn to post within the topic, and not go off topic like you all do every time. The only reason you all even make personal attacks is because you can hide behind a screen name.
  5. Tonight the DB offense goes off, and the Defense plays shut down. Your#'SBEENCALLED, Your are great, you need to come to the boards more often!
  6. That is exactly who I thought was, and to think the people on the Volunteer threads don't think he would make a good head coach!
  7. This thread is not for personal attacks on me, you have been reported. This thread is about Lamon Williams being recurited. I could careless about my past at Volunteer but was you told that I had more hits on the JV team then anyone else, had more RBI's then anyone else, and more hit by pitch then anyone else? Maybe you should get all the facts before you throw something out there, Cloud wouldn't give anyone a chance to move up to varsity unless they were up in his butt brown nosing. And I don't stink up to anyone. Just keep being jealous, because while you are in sorry CH I am in Myrtle Beach living a great life with my girlfriend. Sorry that you are so mad that you are going to be stuck in that little town of CH for the rest of your life. Don't be so mad about it though, most people learn to live with it.
  8. Let's see, I lived in Tn last year and the year before, so I was there to watch Lamon play, and he is the best wide reciever I have seeen play high school football. So just shut up, you people in Church Hill need to get a clue, you think you know everything. Just because I am MB doesn't mean it is on the other side of the world. I can be in Kingsport in 5 hours to watch a game, which I will be doing soon just so I can see this powerful DB offense. I can pick up the telephone that you more then likely don't have falconpride05, because you haven't heard of that invention yet, and call a friend that had just came from the DB game and hear exactly what went on. Face it Volunteer is jealous because it has no star athletes.
  9. That is crazy, their D is crazy this year! Who is the defensive coordinator for Tennessee High?
  10. Here is a story on the game. Vikings pound Unicoi 57-0 BY BUCKY DENT BRISTOL HERALD COURIER ERWIN – With the Apple Festival scheduled for this weekend, there were roadblocks all over downtown. Tennessee High’s defense threw up some pretty impressive barriers at Unicoi County’s Gentry Stadium Thursday night. In a performance reminiscent of the "Fortress" D from 2001, the Vikings gave up just 24 yards and two first downs on their way to a 57-0 pounding of their Mountain Lakes Conference opponent. THS (3-0, 6-0) was so dominant defensively that the Blue Devils (0-3, 2-4) didn’t notch their initial first down until the 8:34 mark of the first half. They didn’t get to positive yardage as a team until Ryan Scott’s 17-yard quarterback keeper on the third quarter’s last play. "It feels really good, since we haven’t done it all year," Vikings defensive tackle Johnny Graybeal said of the shutout. "We came out focused and ready to play. "We’ve been looking for (the shutout) all year and we got it tonight." Unicoi County didn’t penetrate THS’ half of the field until Scott’s run. The Blue Devils got as far as the 29 on that possession, but Emanuel Mendoza’s 46-yard field goal came up a yard short. By that time, the state’s fourth-ranked Class 4A team owned a 43-0 lead and was flooding the field with reserves, even though coach Greg Stubbs wasn’t completely happy with their offensive showing. THS managed just 132 first half yards, 76 coming on a second quarter touchdown drive, and got no better than a stalemate on most plays against Unicoi County’s defensive line. "We didn’t stay with our blocks as well as we could have," Stubbs said. "And I was disappointed with the way our backs blocked for each other. We did not play at a high level of intensity and made some mistakes. "It’s hard to maintain a high energy level in our sport every week and this was our ‘flat’ game. But we know who we are and what we’re capable of doing." While the Vikings’ offense may not have been at their peak, the special teams turned in yet another spectacular performance. DeShaud Johnson and Brandon Anderson returned first quarter punts for 65 and 48-yard touchdowns, respectively, giving THS eight special teams TDs in the last four weeks. Johnson, who now has three punt return scores in as many weeks, said the return team takes pride in its work. "It’s a whole lot of belief in what we’re doing," he said. "We only practice it about once a week, but we come out and give it all we have. We have to give credit to the blockers for what they do. "I’m surprised teams even kick to us any more." Major Canty rushed 11 times for 113 yards and two scores for THS, while Anderson finished with 88 yards in 20 attempts. Twelve players rushed the ball at least once as the Vikings began clearing the bench in the third quarter. Stubbs knows THS will have to play better next Friday night when surging Sullivan South visits the Stone Castle. "We’d better have our tanks full with some high-octane gas," he said. The needle wasn’t close to E, especially on D, last night. Tennessee High 13 14 16 14 – 57 Unicoi County 0 0 0 0 – 0 Scoring Summary THS-Johnson 65 punt return (Miller kick) THS-Anderson 48 punt return (kick failed) THS-Canty 1 run (Miller kick) THS-Whitten 8 run (Miller kick) THS-Canty 34 run (Miller kick) THS-Safety, McDaniel tackled Saylor in end zone THS-Bell 4 run (Miller kick) THS-T. 11. Tennessee High 57 Unicoi 0 Unicoi's offense only had 24 total yards for the game, Tennessee High has an awesome defense!
  12. It's in my bank account, not in yours!
  13. Nope haven't seen a game, but have been told about all the games that are played. I know that the Raiders are first in the League followed by the Packers, then the 49ers. You know there is an invention called the telephone, that lets you call from Myrtle Beach to Church Hill. The little league football in church hill would be much better though if you could run different plays then everyone else, every team has the same playbook. Kingsport leagues I have been told are allowed to run their own plays.
  14. I was just told by a buddy, that Marshall is also looking at Duran. That would be nice to see Lamon and Duran both end up at the same school. Duran would fit in great at Marshall, he is a Byron Leftwich style QB, has the same body type and can tuck and run when needed. Lamon Williams could be the next Moss at Marshall, with the Duran to Lamon connection going on for the next four years. Since Stan Hill Marshall's starting QB is a senior. I was also told out of Lamon choices though, that he is leaning toward Miami.
  15. rivals100.com I have been checking every few days waiting on some new information on him and they finally got some. If you are a member there you can watch some of his older highlight videos.
  16. Let's put it like this, Lamon is better then the best WR in South Carolina. The best WR Eric Huggins has already commited to Oklahoma. I have seen them both play. Lamon has much more talent then Huggins down here at Conway High School. Lamon makes better choices, he has better hands. Huggins is just a burner that gets out in front of everyone and gets an easy catch and takes it to the endzone. Just wait until the end of the season Lamon will be getting numerous offers, from more then just the schools listed. Also Duran should be getting some top schools to offer, if anyone has any information on schools that are recuriting Duran, please post the information.
  17. I am also wondering what is wrong with the youth program? Go Church Hill little leauge football Raiders! 5-0 after losing every game last year. They are understanding the game better this year, and playing very well. Devin Rogers #40 is running the ball very hard every time he gets the chance from the fullback position. 2 games ago had 3 carries for over 80 yards.
  18. Just thought everyone would be interested in this information, seems like as long as Lamon stays on the track he is now, he will have his choice come signing time. Kingsport (Tenn.) Dobyns Bennett wide receiver Lamon Williams is a 6-foot-4, 215-pound prospect who’s unusual situation is intriguing to college recruiters. Williams had a great sophomore season when he had over 50 catches for 1200 yards and 16 touchdowns. However, as a junior, he missed much of his season due to an ankle injury. So far as a senior, he has over 300 yards receiving and four touchdowns, despite missing two of his team’s first five games due to another injury. At least in part to the number of games he’s missed due to injury, college recruiters are taking a bit of a wait and see approach to Williams, who run the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. “I am being recruited by a lot of schools like LSU, South Carolina, Miami, Florida, Virginia and Marshall,” Williams said. “I went to see Marshall play Troy State and they’re talking like they’re going to offer me. Virginia has invited me to a game. I was also supposed to go to the South Carolina/Georgia game, but I ended up not being able to get down there.” Once the offers start rolling in for Williams, who sports a 35-inch vertical leap, he has four things in mind as to what he’s looking for in a school. “I will be looking at the type of majors the schools offer me,” he said. “Location will be something I will look at. I’d like to find a place that feels like home. How good the wide receiver coach and how we get along will be big to me. And I’d like to have a chance to play early.” Williams plans to concentrate on his senior season and see what his options are once it’s complete. “I just want to stay healthy and have a good season,” he said. “Then I’ll see what my options are as far as which schools offer me. Then once I visit them, I should know which one is best for me. Right now, I am open to any schools that call me.”
  19. My all time favorite DB saying from back in the day. "DB, loved, hated, but never ignored"
  20. So is there any word on letting us have custom avatars?
  21. Yep, I also know exaclty what Hoople is talking about. I always enjoy his comments, maybe you just have to be used to reading his articles in the Kingsport Timesnews to know what he is talking about, but after years of reading it, I understand every word. DB will get back to the passing attack this Friday night, and rack up over 400 total yards of offense. The defense will have a great night hopefully will hold the SD offense under 100 total yards, and leave them with a big goose egg on the board. Chop Chop Roll Tribe Roll DB 63 SD 0
  22. How can you leave out Dobyns Bennett? The are by far the best team in all of East, Tn.
  23. I just checked the scores, Volunteer lost again this time to Central. From the score looks like it was a good game. Out of the rest of the games against: Greenville Sullivan North Morristown East Morristown West Cocke County Who are the Falcons most likely to get a win against? I am not starting this thread to have personal attacks against me, I am just asking a simple question.
  24. Good Luck Falcons, Hopefully you can get the first win of the season against the Cougars. So is it a go for the yearly battle between the two schools for the barrel or trash can? I think that it is a cool idea.
