This was before the playoff system who knows how good they really were it just like the BCS today only worse the did not use computers they just used politics. I know Chattanooga has had great teams in the likes of Chattanooga Baylor, City, Chattanooga Central, Brainerd, Rossville GA but the facts are were they the greatest from start to finish without a playoff system we will never know.

Here we go again about winning the big one Central needs to play with heart and not on their sleeves. They have athletes year in and out but IMHO they get polluted minds by those who what to play the game their way and not the coaches way they are more worried about the name on the back of their jersey rather than playing as a team. as the saying goes great offense score points but great defense wins championships the same goes with individuals they make plays but a team wins the game. Central needs to develop a family relationship with one another and push each other to the next level but this will not happen if the leadership and role models of the upperclassmen do not set good examples for those who will fill their shoes in the future. Lead by example and great things will follow. Go Owls!

Ravenwood has been blessed the last two seasons but I personally believe that side of the State Bracket is weak. The Raptors take the field at 7p.m. in Murfreesboro that night for the TSSAA Class 5A championship game against Smyrna, but at 10:30 p.m., fans will converge on the school itself to celebrate a successful season. “We’re just going to have a celebration for even getting that far two years in a row,” parent volunteer Frank Comer said. Ravenwood won last year’s state championship game, and they hope to repeat that feat this year. “We plan on winning, so we’re going to do a sort of celebration,” Comer said The celebration party will be catered and it is open to the community.

Congratulations to Smyrna on the win. But if and buts were candy and nuts we would all have a merry Christmas. 1. Here is a crazy stat for all the Owl fans Ooltewah has average 34.4 points with scoring drives totaling a TOP average of 12:30 seconds. To make it crystal clear for those who dnk the Owls on average all season can score 5 yes 5 touchdowns in just one quarter of play. WOW! Go Owls! They strike quick and they strike early. Soddy Daisy is the second largest school in Chattanooga they will stay in 5A. I think they should make region 1 more competitive since Region 2 the last 2 years have a 8 & 2 playoff record against them JMOT.

I do not know much about Smyrna yet, but I do know a few things about Region 2 5A vs Region 1 5A. Athletically they match up well but the biggest factors I have seen the last 5 or so years is the differences in types of defenses and the physical aspect of the game. IMHO Region 2 5A is on another level when comes laying the wood. Go Owls! "ONE FOR THE RING FINGER"
