I can vouch for what JC4life may have to say. The patriots are looking pretty tough. Though the defense took a heavy hit with all the graduating seniors, core personal on offense still return, mainly Shiverdecker and Reliford. The QB job is still up for grabs, but all three of the potential QB's are looking pretty strong, a great improvement from the previous year. The big JCT has lots of speed with numerous players running 4.5's or better, Shiverdecker clocked at a legit 4.38 and a new comer Dajuan Harris, cousin of Austin-East star Albert Harris, running a 4.48. But what makes the JCT so hard to beat is the mentality the team has. I've watched those boys in spring practice and now summer workouts, and I can guarantee they work three times as hard as any other team in the area, maybe the state. But one thing is good, the underestimation. If teams think that Jeff County is a W on their schedule, they might be crying after the friday night lights go out. With players like Brent Acuff, Reliford, and Shiverdecker returning from great seasons as underclassmen, the Patriots will be hard to contend with. Good luck Cougars, practice hard or it could be another 35-ZIP. P.S: No smack talk attended. lol

Coach Pip, Smoot, and Coach U will have us prepared for DB. Be prepared to see some new secondary schemes. WE had all new coverages for the west game and it put us in great position. DB will make big plays and so will we. Both of us practice.

And what about that Reliford kid. He's the son of Moze Reliford who was a long time coach at JC. They got him at fullback and he's only 5-9, 180 it says on the roster. At the game I watched him run over West players all game long and the linebackers that everyone said would shut our run game down never showed up. Trey toted the rock like a true patriot, and he runs hard. We'll have to play a good game against DB though. thumb
