  1. Sure...when you can't dispute the truth, play the "recruiting" card...everyone else does. yawn.
  2. We've been there thirteen straight seasons, and WB has been there...last time was 2004. We'll be there. You just keep on playing a cupcake schedule and you'll get there again with another inflated seeding.
  3. Wartburg will not be able to score much on the Buc defense. The Bucs have been occasionally given up a big play for a score, but have not given up many sustained scoring drives. Unaka and Copper Basin were frustrated all night, and only scored on a single big play in each game. Boyd will force some turnovers. Our offense is not highly explosive as in the past, but will grind out scoring drives. Think 24 - 7 will be a reasonable score.
  4. No...I'm buying into that all the way.
  5. Good rule of thumb...don't fall for everything you read on a message board.
  6. OK...even though I think this kind of discussion has no place on these boards, I'll step forward and say that I cannot appreciate the tone that BUCDADDY took in that post. I attended BBS from Kindergarten through high school - graduated in 1990. My parents did own their own business, but by no means were millionaires. They sacrificed many things to send me and my brother there. In all the years I was at BBS, never once did we feel the need to think or state that we were better than anyone else...we went there to get our education in a christian environment. It wasn't a "status" thing. I understand how when people get on these boards and throw accusations at BBS, there can be a feeling of wanting to defend the school and the students. That's fine, but BBS never has been and never should be in the business putting others down, insulting others, or having a condescending attitude. That is a level no one on these boards should stoop to...public or private. BUCDADDY is either a student who is pretending to be an adult, or a very immature parent who does not represent the values of BBS. Either way, he is completely ignorant of, or has no real exposure to "real life" and the difficult situations people find themselves in. Sometimes, bad things DO happen in peoples's pasts that leave terrible scars that never heal. Shame on you for having that cold-hearted attitude. And what does that have to do with any of this? It certainly has nothing to do with the BBS mission to glorify God. I hope everyone (and especially the BBS fans) will stay above the pettiness and insulting talk. We all should be better than that. It's fun to talk smack, but let's have some maturity and know where to draw the line.
  7. Final BBS 34 Hampton 10 BARK bite
  8. Ross Keasler pick-6 BBS - 34 Hampton - 10 1:25
  9. BBS - 20 Hampton - 10 4:38 4th
  10. Unaka didn't shoot themselves in their own foot...the Buc defense made plays to force all four turnovers. The QB made a great run to score on a big play...he was good, but the D contained him most of the night. I know you wish you were playing Unaka Friday.
  11. I was talking to someone about "50 Nasty" just this evening. That was the year we scored on the last play of the first half in 4 of the 5 playoff games.
  12. Won't be there tonight. My wife's 20th high school reunion is this evening. She graduated from CCS...isn't it ironic...don't you think?
  13. Wonder if CCS will try again this year to run that "fake-kickoff-then-real-kickoff" that we ran back for a TD to open last year's game...
  14. 2011: The Rise of CALVIN CONN
  15. I would think that Clayton Parker would be the projected starter @ QB next year. However, Jim Cardwell will be a freshman, and may compete for the job. He will be an excellent QB whenever he gets his chance. I would not be surprised to see a much more balanced offense in the coming years with these two at QB. I hope Roc will be back. I heard his knee was messed up badly. There are a lot of folks out there pulling for him! Talking with a coach yesterday, I understand that the line is expected to be improved next year. They will actually have more game experience than this year's line started the season with. Lots of seniors to replace, but I fully expect our guys to be contending for the title again next season.
  16. The way the TC fans exaggerate themselves, they'll tell us this is really a blizzard
  17. Here's what happened a couple of years ago. 3 players (2 of them being your starting quarterback and his brother) "transferred" from Ooltewah and 1 player (a starting lineman) "transferred" from Baylor. We didn't mean to call you a cheater, but you can't throw out posts about rebuilding years. It's not rebuilding if you go to other schools and get new players. That's called recruitin. It must be really sad to be a so-called Buc fan and not know that Boyd didn't rebuild, but that Boyd did recruit. If this isn't true, send your complaints to The Chattonoogan "Chattonooga's source for breaking local news." Until you learn how to spell Chattanooga correctly, you have no credibility. How did you ever make it to the chattanoogan.com site?
  18. Thanks, 55. I had put the cushions up there earlier in the week, so I trust we've got the row covered for yours, mine, reaction, 98 & insanity. I just need room for about 4, so I think we all can fit in.
  19. Harriman? Bledsoe? Really??? W O W ! I wasn't emphasizing those particular teams as much as I was pointing out that they were all on the road. Hence the word "AT" in all caps. Back when I was in school, all caps is intended to show emphasis. WOW OK, I'll rephrase it... AT Harriman? AT Bledsoe? Really? W O W !
  20. Harriman? Bledsoe? Really??? W O W !
  21. Just wanted to beat reaction to the post. GO BUCS!
  22. See you at the Swamp, Tigers!
  23. Respect to Cascade. Good team...good fans. They played tough tonight.
