  1. well..since you didn't hang around until the "bitter end" and behold it with your own eyes...
  2. could have...should have...etc The reason Boyd didn't have more yards than they did is because they played on a short field all night. I believe Westmoreland crossed the 50 yard line once. As for #61's cheap shots on our backup QB while he was taking a knee...no matter what the score is, you can chose to walk off the field a winner or a LOSER.
  3. As of right now, the forecast looks good for Friday... only a 20% chance of rain.
  4. I'm expecting a very close game. I believe that both teams will be evenly matched.
  5. Yes, we did have a smaller home crowd Friday night. Many of our fans have younger kids who would have been out on Halloween...and many folks probably stayed at home to give out candy, and watched the game on TV. The Tyner crowd was smaller than I expected, too.
  6. Congrats to the Owls! According to the handbook, Smith Co. would play AT BBS in round 3 since BBS is the higher seed...we hope to see you then!
  7. Don't forget those creampuff teams Red Bank and Loudon that Boyd beat. Fulton isn't good this year, and don't talk about scheduling cakewalks when Tyner's first game was against Faith Covenant in Huntsville. So far, Tyner has two wins over teams with winning records this year, and Boyd has six. It was insane to think that Boyd would hold S. Pitt to 7 points, but we did. BTW -- did you ever get around to explaining exactly how McCallie's defense is better than Boyd's like you claimed?
  8. I plan to be there after I take my daughter trick-or-treating. We're going early, so I hope to be there sometime during the 1st quarter. I hope reaction wears a mask tomorrow night.
  9. The Times-Free Press, everyone who read the article, and we Buc fans are all grateful to you for setting all of us straight. So, exactly how may "history" points will go on Tyner's side of the scoreboard?
  10. Well, you said that Boyd will not win by 18 because of the historical matchups...sounds like analysis to me...and one of someone who is in serious doubt of what the "RAMS" can bring tomorrow night. Just trying to get under your skin /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  11. We'll be sure to factor this into the final score somehow tomorrow night. I think we have a special "history" button on the scoreboard box.
  12. yes, as long as Marion County beats Sequatchie County
  13. I was not correct, because I had MC's record wrong in that scenario...thanks for catching that. If Tyner, MC, and SC are in a 3-way tie, then something interesting happens that I hadn't thought of... Since wins over teams that are not eligible for the TSSAA playoffs do not count, then we would have to discount Tyner's win over Faith Covenant, MC win over Taft, and SC win over East Lit. SO...under the Boyd over Tyner and SC over MC scenario, the first tiebreaker would apply. 1. Boyd 2. SC -- 6 wins, head-to-head over MC 3. MC -- 6 wins 4. Tyner -- 5 wins Actually, even if those games counted, this would still be the order. I've corrected the first post to reflect the "non-eligible team" wins for the Tyner over Boyd & MC over SC scenario.
  14. Wasn't at tonight's game...have a question about the blocked punt...was it the formation where the line is spread out and three blockers are directly in front of the punter? Sequatchie blocked two punts last week while the Bucs were in that formation. I hope we don't use that anymore, or it may cost us a game later on.
  15. Here's how it looks for the last week of the regular season. Boyd over Tyner = Boyd wins region. Boyd over Tyner & MC over Sequatchie = 1. Boyd, 2. MC, 3. Tyner, 4 SC Tyner over Boyd and Marion Co. over Sequatchie = three-way tie with Boyd winning region on tiebreaker. 1 Boyd, 2. MC, 3. Tyner, 4. SC Under tiebreaker #1 (The team with the greatest number of victories over teams eligible for TSSAA playoffs.) Tyner would go to third with 6 wins (not including Faith Covenant), MC would be second with 7 wins (not including Taft) & Boyd would be first with 8 wins. Boyd over Tyner & SC over MC = SEE 3 POSTS DOWN Tyner over Boyd and Sequatchie over MC = 1. Tyner, 2. Boyd, 3. SC, 4. MC
  16. And the pass WAS caught..End of story. If I'm not mistaken, Boyd's only penalty was on the 2-pt conversion. I believe SP had 70 penalty yards.
  17. The best call was to go for 2 from the 3 yard line. The 12-man penalty backed us up to the 18...maybe they should have tried the XP from there, but two FG attempts of roughly that distance were short earlier in the game. We executed the play to score the 2 pt from the 18, but came up a yard short.

  19. 10 team region??? BBS S. Pitt. Marion Co. Whitwell Copper Basin Grace Silverdale Lookout Valley Signal Mountain David Brainerd
  20. Rushing: BB 34 - 141; SP 45 - 159 Passing: BB 101; SP 22 Total Yards: BB 242; SP 191 Turnovers: BB 4; SP 1
  21. According to the list on the TSSAA website, Boyd will be in the 1A/2A division and in the 2A playoffs.
