    Biggest flop

The Longhorns of Johnson County are probably thinking "What if?". The started off 5-0. They should have beaten Boone. They actually scored 14 on the Mighty Vikings and then finished off their season by beating South. Too little too late to make the playoffs. That's a heartbreaking season.
  2. Hey Reb, do the same comparison with Maryville and see if you come up with same numbers I did. You can use 40 points since they didn't score as many points as the Vikings. Maryville 6-0 100% Carter 1-5 16% Heritage 2-5 28% William Blount 3-4 43% Powell 4-2 66% West 2-4 66% Knox Central 5-1 83% Clinton 0-6 0% avg. 50.25 THS avg. 50.37 Interesting, isnt it.
  3. Burrr dont know much about 1A football either.
  4. Tennessee High's Carleton Bell and Ryan Shaw will run through the MLC next year.........THS wins the conference again. thumb
  5. Is greeneville looking forward to playing Sullivan East? I know nothing about Greeneville but after the beating East took last night at the hands of my Vikes it could be good thing or a bad thing for Greeneville. I cant call this one. The Cherokee vs. Elizabethton game will proabably be the best game of the week. The Cyclones seem to be playing pretty good ball right now. The South vs. M. East game.........who knows. The way South has been playing, it go either way. I'm pulling for South so that we can have a second round home game against them. South seems to let their emotions drive them instead of playing solid football. I think they have been handicapped by some key injuries. Every time I have picked them this year, they have lost. So, I'm keeping my mouth shut. The THS vs. Mo. West? Lets just say that we owe them one. The Vikings will win by as much as they wont to.
  6. I've been to all THS games this year excluding Elizabethton and Johnson County. I made the trip over to East's game against South last week. East has 3 players. THS's depth if nothing else will be more than enough to contain Nidiffer, Eads, and the reciever #9 (cant remember his name). The D-line + Mo and Zach = along night for the East stars. But we are talking about High school kids so anything is possible. Turnovers could be the difference. Hopefully the Vikes will continue what they have been doing and hopefully they will come out with alittle more aggression from the beginning. Its not going to matter if East runs out of gas like they did against South, its going to get ugly for them in hurry. THS 52 East 17 Hey, thats more points than any else has scored on 'em this year. Cant wait to see Maryville's fine facility in 4 weeks. That is when the Vikes get their first test. thumb
  7. Amen............Give it a rest, Maryville.
  8. THS's Brandon Anderson is probably the best kick off/punt return man in the state. But the best overall players from east tennessee, Ive seen play, are Maurice Whitten and Zach Morton form THS. Nobody in district 1 or 2 comes close.
  9. The last few weeks my Vikes have had trouble getting started. I think they are taking their opponents too lightly and need to have something happen, during the game, to get motivated (they are good and they know it). That will probably happen again this week in Mountain City. But no worries, The Vikes will win big again. I assure you, they wont have any trouble gettting up for East. Besides, South is going to beat East his week.

    New 4A breakdown

I think I heard that Johnson County was going back to 3A in '05.
  11. If East keys on BA it will be a fatal mistake. There are 4 others capable of putting up as many yards as BA. I cant remember all the names but I do know jersey numbers. East needs to be very aware of......lets see.......... numbers 9, 11, 22, 5, 31, 32, 44, and 3 on offense. And on defense the need to be aware of all 11 of 'em. I predict a Sullivan South type blow out. East will need to score at least 45 points to have a chance and that ain't gonna happen. Sorry Pats. Maybe next year.
