  1. He needs to make them up. He only had 29 at the end of the 3rd quarter and 60 or 70 at the end of the game. But, they did get the win. Most teams don't throw to a decoy.
  2. All athletes are drug tested at Anderson County High School at the first of the year. Then, several time during the uear kids are randomly chosen.
  3. What do you think about Lenoir City and Anderson County?
  4. #55 Josh Stooksbury from Anderson County playing gaurd has been a very solid player this season.
  5. Just wondering what everyone was thinking.
  6. So you are telling me that specific parents have told you that their son was recruited by Anderson County football staff. That's interesting. More interesting than that would be which parents it was. On another side, I guess all of the students that go to Fulton instead of Halls of Central were recruited by that staff. Or those that were zoned for Halls that go to Central. Or what about all of the kids who were suppossed to go to Alcoa or William Blount, but instead went to Maryville. It happens everywhere. None of these kids are "recruited," they chose to go to that school. Don't whine about it the the school that gets the kids, go and talk to the parents. They are the ones that let their kids change or transfer. I guess what you are saying is that CCHS would never take a kid in that transfered. I promise you that if Caleb Slover ( qb at AC for 2 years) had transfered up to CCHS, they would welcomed him with open arms. One last question, When a high school kid is recruited by a college he goes where he gets the best offer from. If Anderson County has been recruiting all of these years, what are they offering these kids. Money, cars, apartments???
  7. I am completely happy for the kids at Campbell County. I find it so interesting that since the '95 season Campbell County has blamed Anderson County for its demise. Now, this year, they are giving Anderson County all of the credit because they haven't had a good recruiting year. It seems that Anderson County has a direct impact on Campbell County for almost ten years. It's just sad that a school with 2000 students has to go so long before they can find a winning season. My hats off to the staff at CCHS. The only problem with CC is the old washed up coaches that still are upset with their pathetic season.
  8. He may have had 82 total yards. One of his long runs was off of a PASS in the flat that he scored on. As a team they only had 88 yards RUSHING.
  9. I agree grizzly, Anderson County is fairing pretty well with 5 sophomores starting on defense. The future sure does look good.
  10. Kingston had 88 rushing yards against Anderson County last Friday night. They had 176 total.
  11. I'm pretty sure you are right kwalker, they are moving out of 2 3a and we are picking up catholic. i'm not sure about the gibbs, or scott county move to region 1
  12. I've been around a team that didn't want it before. I'm not talking about every kid, but there were more that would rather be somewhere else than at practice or at a game especially when they were getting beat.
  13. Yeah, you can cheer, and it is well deserved. You beat AC. Both teams had chances and you all took advantage of yours. As far as the Kingston/Lenoir City game, if Lenoir City don't get a good pass rush, and have pretty good coverage behind it, Lenoir City could be in for a long night.
  14. Was he the one that broke his leg?
  15. Anderon County always seems to be everyones big game. I'm sure they like the fact that they are not a win on the schedule. Like Grizzly said, everyone get up to play AC, and they bring the best out of every team. Everyone is gunning for them.
  16. I was shocked that the Knoxville fan base didn't mention Chad Pennington. How do you forget about him. He's only the biggest name from this area playing. Anderson County's Q-Back from "97 Caleb Slover has played several years of arena league but that's it.
  17. Grizzly, I agree that great respect comes from the opponents for the Mavs. I was referring to those who never step on the field against a maverick defense that want to come on coacht and say that the mavs are overrated. I'm anyone that has stepped on the field against the mavs has respect for them.
  18. You say it as if Anderson County is terrible. You right, the Mavs were probably overrated coming in at #4 in the state. On the other hand, the mavs never get the respect that they should. Just seems that they can't handle the high rankings.
  19. I think this will be a great game if Anderson County plays like they should. If they don't show up it could be bad for the mavs. Fulton has so many athletes that they can start slow and make up for it. Anderson County will have to play virtually a mistake free ballgame. Can AC stop the big plays and the traps, and can Fulton stop the running attack of AC?
  20. I'm not so sure if the kicking game for Fulton will be as big of a problem for Fulton. From what I have seen as of late, the kicker is kicking pretty good. And pigeons4life is right. The lack of a kicking game makes the decision to go for the win or the tie a whole lot easier to make. Takes pressure off of a coach. He just says, "We don't have a kicking game so we are going for the win."
  21. Like I said earlier, the call was not what beat the Mavs. Although, the several film angles I saw show that there was no contact until the ball was well past the Kingston receiver. Bad call nevertheless. Not a surprise though, Mr. B is full of bad calls.
  22. As well they should have complained there was one call that was a turning point in the game. I just wish that officials would let the kids decide the outcomes. Too many officials want people to know that they have "power." The game was an upset, and calls alone did not beat AC. They had opportuities to secure the game and they didn't ie, fumble. I'm sure though, as overrated as the Mavs may be, it feels good to be in a position to be upset. Clinton has been the underdog the past 4 years they have played haven't they cdragonz. Must get old always being the underdog.
  23. Ollie, what are you doing on this post. No one wants to hear you talk about cute andy. This game will be a great game. It will come down to who wants it more.
  24. You may be right about the overrated mavs, but that has been the story across the state this year. As for the Fulton AC game, it will all come down to defense. Will Fulton be able to handle the mavs up front when the mavs get in the dead T and run right at them, (just like Lenoir City). The problem for the mavericks will be when the falcons are on offense. Can the mavs stop the big plays deep down the field. This one will be a great high school football atmosphere.
