  1. That's good numbers, but I didn't doubt your candidate, and you did doubt mine. I never said Davis wasn't deserving, but he isn't a candidate, and nothing can change that now.
  2. Oh yeah, I'm sorry, his season stats must be that bad. I mean everyone throws for 3000 yards don't they?
  3. From www.mckenzierebels.com : For his career, Hayes has completed 610 of 1120 passes for 8,989. He is second on the state's all-time career passing yardage list. He also ranks 32nd nationally for passing yardage. His 46 completions against Union City in Week 7 of the season was a state and national record. He also holds the state mark for completions in a game. This year he is 211-297 for 3,078 yards.
  4. Nothing exact, but well over 300 yards and he had 6 TD's. Very good completion rate and no pics also.
  5. McKenzie 62 Gleason 42 Great game by both teams.
  6. You need jokes because you can't back up your boy 'ole Clay Head? I know he's good from what I've heard, but he's no Drew Hayes. And that's a fact.
  7. He's by far the best quarterback in 1A, maybe in all of TN. Quit crying about it and live with it, like most other people have.
  8. Did Drew abuse you when you were a little child? Because it sure seems like you have a big problem with him, and for no reason. I don't think Drew controls what the Jackson Sun prints about him or anyone else, so blaming that on him would be a mistake. He is a GREAT quarterback, one that can see the field, read coverages, and make good decisions. The scary thing is, he's only getting better every week. He had a good game against Huntingdon, but you can't put the whole offensive success (or unsuccess in this situation) on his shoulders. The line has to block, the receivers have to catch, and against a team with as many athletes as Huntingdon had, you have to have some kind of a running game. Drew and his receivers (#1 Glenn Smith sticks out in my mind) did a good job of moving down the field. They got to the 1 yard line on many occasions, but the offensive line and running backs couldn't put the ball into the endzone. Everyone has bad games, and if thats as bad as he plays, then I think we'll be okay. About the recruiting question.. I'd assume that it means that they are interested in him and apparently telling him that. I don't think a good kid like Drew would lie to people about who is recruiting him, I'd assume he has many offers in football and/or baseball. About the state records... No one is talking about the guy from Westwood, what he did will have no effect on what Drew does in life, guaranteed.
  9. It's gotta be Drew Hayes after last night folks. "Hayes was 26-of-37 through the air for 518 yards and seven passing touchdowns. He also ran for a score as the Rebels escaped with a 54-53 victory in Region 7-1A action." That is quoted from The Jackson Sun this morning. He had a great night and is now 2nd in state passing, and he helped his team find a way to win.
  10. Drew Hayes was 26 for 39 for 528 yards and 7 TD's, and 1 rushing TD. Not a bad performance at all I might say.
  11. I seriously doubt you are a player for UC. They have more class than that, their coaches have more class than that, and a good portion of your fans (not all of them of course) have more class than that. Therefore, I take it you are someone just looking to start trouble and an arguement. I suggest you quit making statements that your team might not be able to back up.
  12. I'm sorry, I thought Mr. Football was an individual award, not a team award. Drew is the best individual quarterback in 1A, that is hard to doubt. He has the stats to prove it. Another point I hate to bring to your attention is that Drew didn't start a game his freshman year until the Huntingdon game, a big game for a freshman to step up and play in. He then led the rebels to the semi-finals that year. That isn't too bad of an accomplishment for a freshman in my opinion. Oh, and not to burst your bubble, but Cody Cook had over 1,000 rushing yards his junior and senior year, meaning that the rebels didn't "PASS PASS PASS!". They obviously ran it a little bit too. You have to use what talent you have, and the rebels have a great quarterback and good receivers.
  13. I'm sure if running plays were called in a game, they would try to make holes. I haven't been to every game this year, but I went to the Dresden game and they opened plenty of holes there. They didn't do too bad at the West Carroll game either. I'm sure the boys on the team do or try to do what is asked of them.
  14. Maybe its just me, but McKenzie threw over 70 times and allowed 0 sacks and not that many pressures in the Union City game. Looks like the line can't block can it?
  15. If I'm not mistaken, its #68 Schweitzer. I got all of those weights from the program, so I'm just guessing that they are correct.
