  1. Our team will be farely strong this year, jus not as much depth in the line as usual. They r doing what we call "The Wonderful World Of Bench" this week and are trying to get the big freshmen stronger and whatnot. As usual i think we will be all running with the Wing T, but as for defense i have no clue. It needs improvement obviously. I believe Westview will have the heads on the region championship but who knows. I personally think the new regions are stupid but thats just my opinion and ofcourse everyone has one.
  2. I am #3 single and #2 doubles for huntingdon and we played USJ yesterday and they werent as great as i expected them to fair out. The losses we had were as follows..... #1 single (Dustin Whitworth) lost, #5 single (Spencer Ezell) lost, #10 single (Mathew McMinn) lost, and #3 Doubles (Corey Brawner and Spencer Ezell) lost... our #2,3,4,6,7,8 singles won and #1,and 2 doubles won.... So far our team is 4-0 (as overall wins) and i believe 8-1 doubles, and somewhere around 18-3 singles we have a farely strong team but we havent had much comp. we have played camden twice and mckenzie and USJ once, We play Lexington tommorow and they have always had a good tennis program so we will se how they turn out...
  3. The OC did get a head coaching job in Hickman County and he is actually 100% no questions asked gone, The O-Line coach is moving to Memphis because his wife got a job down there, but he will find out which school he will be coaching and teaching @ within the next couple of weeks. Im a junior @ Htown so i hear all kinds of crazy stuff, but as for new coaches, Mansfield has supposingly began interviewing people for the openings, and if u all know Mansfield like everyone around here, he will fill the position if he has to do it himself. For the line situation, we will have a farely young line, i believe 3 seniors, 2 juniors, and the rest r sophomores and freshmen. We wont be as big but we will have talent. I also agree with DearOlDad, We will keep the Wing T offense, its sort of like a tradition that seems to work.
  4. who r the dominates in the smaller schools???....Lexington, USJ, Madison, JCS, Bolivar, Huntingdon, who is it??
  5. Congrats to Alcoa, The play that we have usually stopped all year didnt seem to be stopped tonight, "the draw", and yalls passing game was incredible, this was the most ive seen us pass that much. The one thing i want to add to this post before i end it is to the Huntingdon fans in general with exception of a few cough ktrainfan cough. If there is nothing going for the team you all just sit down, now we have all these pep rallys to get us ready to "support" our team, i dont think sittin down when we have a bad play is supporting. Now with the respect of driving 3 hours to watch the game is great but the team needs support!!! just step it up next year, i dfidnt sit down the whole game tonight and i really thought we could pull it out but when we got the safety on us everyone sat down and just gave up, u have to stick in there....Congrats Stangs on a Feat noone thought you would do in pre-season...
  6. Congrats to the Huntingdon coaching staff, you proved your ability to come back and win a hard fought game. Like someone else said earlier, the 5 BIG mistakes that hurt us last time didnt happen this time. Good Luck H-town in The Boro.!!!!.
  7. I agree with M.B.R.B and trogdor13 Mustang fans do lack the effort of getting up in the games that they dont think mean anything like Bruceton and Union City and the others, unless the team happens to be good like 2 years ago when Bruceton clobbered them. I went to see Dresden play Westview 2 weeks ago and let me tell u Dresden fans are always fired up, it makes me wish our team spirit was like that all the time, now im not downing huntingdon fans at all because @ the championship game last year nobody sat down the whole time, thats spirit, they just need it at every game .... its a good motivational key for the players i believe.
  8. Ok i gotta few things to clear up... 1. why run drew hayes when he already has over 1600 yards passing this season? 2. the main reason huntingdon lost was because of coaching, On fairviews first touchdown they went for 2 and made it 8-0, when huntindon scored they should have went for 2 but didnt, making the score 7-8 after newsomes XP, Fiarview scored again making it 14-0 and then made the XP making it 15-7, when Huntingdon scored again they didnt convert the 2 point conversion so basically Huntingdon screwed up by not going for 2 the first time. 3. It was in the huntingdon/fairview game that a faiview return guy got in the head by a punt it happened around the 30 yard yard line, in the mckenzie/fairview game as pyshcorebel said, fairview got in the leg by a punt. 4. Gerry dont even start saying Huntingdon coaches need to stop running Boo, if that were so would he have over 1100 yards aleady this season? Heck yea, Donald is good no questions asked but u gotta keep givin Boo the ball too. Now i do believe Donald was the man on a mission last Friday night and he should have gotten it more but look at Phillips performances recently and realize he is an outstanding athelte.
  9. I agree Wid M.B.R.B that is an old song ..... i cant think of any other fight songs people have honestly jus that old song
