  1. so. i haven't been up with the board much this boys season. I've heard much about patrick kelly. is there anything anyone can tell me about his past history, and if he is really as great as i hear? i am not calling anyone out. i have seen the boy play, it's just been a while. but does he get a little more credit, being brother to daniel? and as for will maddox, alex tummons, you need to get off this board because Plummer is a great coach, and I know he will kill you for talking smack, and putting a good word in there for yourself. And he's a great player. I've known him for a while, and never have I seen a player work so hard, and train so much. Between every night, trips to england, playing with his brother, lots of heart. Fever 91' has had a bad reputation in the past, due to parents, and over exuberate players, with a lot of heart. Wil's a perfect example fo this. In the heat of the game, frusteration tends to come out with him, but honestly, I can say no less to anyone else on that team. It was always an issue. Due to a few years of unsportsmanlike tactics from a man by the name of "Pierre"(and I know all of you Fever boys' know what I'm talking about), the boys picked up some bad habits. If they can get these under control, and from how I have seen them all in the past, they will be set, and Hendersonville, Pope, and all these other schools that picked up these boys will be very well off. Great group of talent. And I don't know the Pope coach, but if he is anything like Plummer, the boys will change...fast. Your sat out on HHS the whole game for disrespect to a referee, teamate, or player of opposition. It can be a little different, once your in it for pride, can't it be, boys? I've watched you boys play, and wherever you all are, keep progressing with the great skills and passion you have.
  2. well i must say. it is quite strange not watching franklin play in state, or even, regions for that matter. But , these girls have shown a lot of class about it. And personally, in my mind, if they had been in any other district, they would have gone on. No question. Congrats girls on a great season, and you all must have had the hardest district around! Keep your heads high!!
  3. I agree! I mean, if Farragut and Bearden and allll of these teams have all these past titles, then wouldn't someone DEFINATELY put them as number 1 if they thought it was well deserved? Theres a reason that they have not been number 1, because they would obviously be considered, given their past record. And how are we so sure about the tougher scheduales, if a lot of these top rank teams are in the middle? Brentwood, Hendersonville, Father Ryan, FRA, I mean, these are always top teams as well. That is the one thing that gets me, that you can all say how they have the tougher scheduale..because those teams WERE the best. Key word, WERE. Oh well, I guess it will all show today...let the games begin.
  4. Sounds like a very good all around team. Should be some good matchups. States tommorow, and I can't wait to just watch some awesome teams play there best to get the rings...it will be quite the week!
  5. Then i am missing the whole point of this board i suppose. I thought it was to discuss games, and teams, what has happend and what we think will happen. Other wise, no one should be saying anything. And I'm not a player. And anything can happen, definately agree. And I have no clue who will win..but people are saying their predictions, and their reasoning behind it. So...please, let the board be used.
  6. your right. and those players are now on the bench for varsity. playing when the games get high, for good experience. the reason i said this is because someone believed that on paper brentwood faired out as the better team. when in reality, it doesn't seem that way.
  7. Not sure. I'm suspecting Hendersonville to beat Mcminn, but I cannot vouch because I haven't seen mcminn play, i am jsut going by competition, records, what i've heard, ect. Granted, i think it will be a veryyy hard game. But I hear Bearden is favored for their game. Do you think that would be a tough match? Hville, Bearden? I haven't seen bearden. Do you know how good they are?
  8. I just really read this, and I don't know if you could really say that logic makes brentwood seem better. Notice, how Hendersonville beat Rossview 5 to 0 in regionals. With not a very close game at all, 3 goals in teh first half, and jv players starting by 2nd. I, personally, don't see even in logic how that would make brentwood even look as if they were better than hendersonville. And by halftime of the glencliff game, hendersonville jv was playing, again. And the goal was in the last 2 on hayden coffmen. their freshman keeper. Not to argue, but I just personally don't see how they would even really look as if they were better in logic.
  9. Definately agree. I'll be intrested to see them play, because I haven't seen what the east has to offer yet. I think it will all be shown when they combine, because they do not realy know the skill of the central, and the central hasn't seen the skill of the east yet. Not to say, I'm sure West has something to offer. Has anyone seen Germantown play? How are the teams out there? Are they up to par with east and central tennessee?
  10. I don't think this is something someone should post on yet. There is no finals. And tournement time is a crazy time. The girls state champions were not expected to win last year, Hendersonville was not expected to make it as far as they did last year, Farragut has changed tremendously lately, ina good way, and everyone will show up to play veryyy hard this week. Farraguts going to have a tough game against Brentwood, personally, I think that is the biggest game of wed. Hendersonville also will not have it easy. I see no blow-outs, or chances to predict who will win this thing yet. Let alone the championship GAME.
  11. I don't think they were either bhs. I think glencliff played a hard match, and rossview as well. Definately deserved to make it all the way to sectionals. i mean that makes them 1 of what? 16 teams left? and thats quite an honor in itself. I simply meant that quote by it was strange how brentwood and hendersonviles sectional and region finals were the same. but yes, congrats to both teams for making it that far, its better than most.
  12. thanks leftfooted. the reason i was thinking farragut could come back in win this is because i've heard how much of an improvement they've made this year, and they have played a farelly good scheduale. i haven't seen all of those teams play, though. so it was nice to know where someone thought they stood that has actually SEEN them all play. so many people talk as if they know, when they haven't seen them. but i am definately for hendersonville, and cannot wait for the games to get started, and see who shows up to play!
  13. I am 100% Hendersonville. BUT i could see Farragut beating them in the finals. If Hendersonville isn't 100% there. I think the boys will be though. And, if Farragut WAS to win, I don't particularly consider it an upset. Both teams are great, as well as Brentwood, Bearden, Houston, Mcminn, ect. But if it was to be Farragut vs. Hendersonville, it would be blood and guts..and a bit of a toss up.
  14. definately agree. the first thing i said after i heard about the score of the brentwood game was "how weird". 5 to 0. then 3 to 1. just, swapping. it was very strange. definately agree
  15. Weaveworld, I have been to most of their games. And their all around skill is very good. I mean, their teamwork, composure, structure, speed, strength, everything. Their skill is veryy impresive. So many teams I have seen play the "lets kick the ball up the feild and run". Hendersonville seems to have a more mature style of play. And even on paper, they've done well. Winning over Brentwood, and having great game against Parkview. They've allowed 10 goals, and no more than 2 in a game. Their defense is very strong. And also having somewhere around 75 goals. Even on paper, they seem like they've done quite well for themselves. With a record of 18-2-1. I can see them wining it all. No, I do NOT see a cake walk for them. At all. And things could very well happen. I thought they would have gone further last year, but it seems they didn't show up to play. They've got to show up to play, thats my biggest worry. They tend to start off slow, or thinking it won't be quite the game it turns out to be. We'll see how it all goes, but if you want to know why some people believe they might win it all, that is why.
