You know who the real loser of this is? Hillsboro. To go like 33-1 in a season and then win your region 6 game, only to have to play your substate elimination game against a team that was #2 in the nation that is going to be upset from losing to their rival 2 days before. Yea, Hillsboro your screwed.

First off, I apologize for your opinion of our student section. I'll admit we were very weak tonight, but we are usually alot rowdier, but I think we were still exhausted from the girls game before and the LaVergne game the night before. Were you even there those games? If so you should change your mind about us. Second off, I am not sure if your a Beech fan but if you are weren't you the same fans that last time when we were at your place you claimed us to be too rowdy and classless? Third off, Beech student section is very plain and classy, which is respectable. We usually like to get chants going on our side. Go ask Urkel I mean #2 on LaVergne

First off, I'm their #1 fan thumb I thought the game plan was excellent for Wilson Central. They pretty much doubled teamed Clark everytime she got the ball, and Sara was just beating her up inside for possesion. They did a great job containing hudson, and that forced them to go to their other role players, and they did not get the job done tonight. The score was 31-21 but MTJ made it 33-33 going into OT, as WCHS was just cold from free throws and wide open breakaway layup attempts. Coach Brandon did a great job getting them riled up in OT however, and WCHS ended up getting the biggest win in school history over #2 ranked MTJ....national ranked. The crowd at the end began yelling "overrated," but I think it would be better to say "2nd in the nation "clap clap clap clap clap" WERE NUMBER 1!!!"

The guys at WCHS are really gelling together as a unit at the perfect time and should be proud of themselves. They beat 2 great teams on two consecutive nights, and now have a chance at their 2nd straight state appearance. Best of luck to WCHS and the players, and also to Beech's too in their substate game. Just like '04 LaVergne is one heck of a basketball team. Wilson Central should be more than proud of theirselves, because they earned that victory. Everytime WCHS needed to, they stepped it up, especially at the free throw line, where they basically scored all their points in the second half. Everytime LaVergne needed a shot, whether it was a 3/4 court shot before the end of 1, a 2/5 court shot before the end of the 3rd, great shots on perfect defense in the 4th quarter, BOOM. LaVergne just ran out of gas when the score was about 39-38, and WCHS went on a 12 point escapade to finally get over their obstacle. WCHS responded wonderfully under pressure tonight, and guards Rominioq and Perry did a fantastic job tonight picking up for the post players because 6'10 Hudson was giving us problems all night long. WCHS played a heck of a game tonight and 110% props to every player, coach, and fan who was screaming their tails off the entire night. Best of luck against Beech.

It was rather ugly, but a win is a win, and thats all that counts. LaVergne will be going for the 4-0 sweep wednesday night. WCHS will have to step it up offensively and defensively if they want to make it back to substate. LETS GO WC

Your actually going to pick WCHS over LaVergne after previous attempts? Me too I agree with everything you just said, except I think that when WCHS beats LaVergne, they are going to be extremely high and hard to stop.

I agree. Basic fundamentals will win you ballgames. Free throw shooting is one of them. That's why Beech is 30-4. Nothing flashy, just fundamentals.

Wilson Central played very well tonight. They responded well from the upset. Now that LaVergne has won and is the 1 seed, and if Wilson Central and LaVergne both advance in the 1st round of the regionals, I believe they play each other (same seeding for these two last year and they played each other in the second round). That'll be a do or die game now, much like it was last year.

Congratulations to LaVergne. Yet again, proving us doubters wrong.

I thought about what I said yesterday, and what I said was a mistake. I will admit that I was very upset by the loss last night as I believe that I, along with most WCHS fans, expect miracles out of the team. I have been one of the first and few to admit that LaVergne could be a dangerous cinderella in Region 5AAA as many people doubt them, yet even after they beat us a 3rd time, I was rather shell shocked. WCHS actually played a good first half, they just struggled in the 2nd half. I realize that this year is different. Last year they were the predator upsetting the big dawgs. This year they are the prey trying to avoid the other underdawg predators, and while they are more talented, people are not taking us for granted anymore. Quite frankly, they have done a great job this year, and I and noone else shouldn't be so critical of them because of two off games they had as they previously won 18 out of 19 games, including wins against Beech and Giles County. I will retract my previous rant now and GL to WCHS rest of season.

Central has played Sara twice against Smyrna but she was a freshmen (#50) She is a huge upgrade to what we previously had while she was hurt They are like 15-0 with her in there this year but she got hurt during Christmas, around the time we lost to Powell, Jefferson, etc.

Are you refering ot the student section? Season's Over! Nah Nah Nah Nah Hey Hey Hey Goodbye! QUite frankly, those refs were HORRIBLE all around. They were just inconsistently bad. At least most refs are consistent with their bad calls but these refs werent consistent with anything.

Isn't WCHS undefeated with Sara? Or did she play in one of those losses at the Christmas tourney.

If WCHS loses to LaVergne a 3rd straight time they should be disqualified from the tournament. WCHS wins.

WWHS 35 WCHS 53 After the end of three, the score was tied at 34 a piece and the White House section got excited. Unfortunately for them, 19 consecutive points by Wilson Central including a 5 star alley oop by CJ Carter put out the White House, who's only points came with 2.9 second to go in the fourth quarter on a free throw attempt.

What happens to Wilson Central and White House? Alien Abduction?
