Whitwell moved to a 2-0 start on the young season after winning their District 6-A opener 7-2 against CCS. FR P Amber Webb picked up the win for the Lady Tigers. Whitwell will take on District newcomer Richard Hardy tomorrow at home.

JR P Jessica Kilgore picked up the win for the Lady Tigers.

Marion beat Whitwell 10-0. Sartin and Martin pitched for the error-plagued Tigers. #7 pitched for Marion (don't have a name). This is all the info I have due to the fact that I am away at college.

Whitwell won their home and season opener against Christian Heritage (Dalton,GA) by a score of 7-2. My computer isnt letting me add the game so could someone do it for me? Whitwell (12-13 Overall, 4-6 District) will play host to Chatt City tonight with a chance to finish as the 4th seed for the upcoming district tournament at Sale Creek. If I'm not mistaken the winner of this game earning the #4 seed, and the loser being the #5. That would put these teams matching up in the first round. City defeated Whitwell 57-56 earlier in the season, but hopefully the Tigers will use their homecourt advantage to bring better results this time.

How did Jonathan "Rudy" Adams perform in this game? The kid makes up for his height with the size of his heart. He had 20 the other night against Rhea County.

Hawk, Bledsoe County has a basketball team and was actually very successful in a tough District 6-AA last season. Check out their results from last season. It may suprise you. By the way, how about some details from the Berean game.

Webb is in their first season back with the TSSAA. They opened their season with a 49-47 win over Boyd Christian on Tuesday night.

Sequatchie, Whitwell has started off 2-0 before. If you remember in the past Whitwell had a very strong basketball program. I think teams throughout the Sequatchie Valley will be competitive in their respective districts. By the way, who do you guys play?

The Lady Tigers play their home opener on Friday night against the Webb School of Bell Buckle. Whitwell opened up with a 34-24 win over St. Andrew's-Sewanee on Tuesday night. The Lady Tigers should easily go to 2-0.
